It's a slice of life very short. Absolutely nothing is going to be explained about why the things that happen happen, or anything about the characters, but that's fine. The story is the least important of all. However, it is entertaining, and it is good to disconnect from the complex plots that require a lot of attention. It is practically a job done to demonstrate the animation capabilities of a studio, or at least that's how I see it, despite the fact that it has already produced several animes. I think that each episode changes the opening, which lasts more or less 30 seconds; In ... that aspect you will not be so bored.
Honestly, it made me much funnier than other "comedy" anime out there.

When I watch this anime, I prefer to act as if what I am seeing is not 15-year-old boys beating each other in groups, and rather to think that it is a dark past and not so far from the protagonist (at least in a matter of time) , since 12 years ago, at a school time, it seems wrong to me ...

Story: 8/10

Despite what I mentioned above, I really enjoy the series and its story very much: The protagonist must travel to the past to save his ex-girlfriend from being murdered by a mafia in the present, "disarming" it from the beginning.

Now, I will ... move on to the things that every time I see them, my brain squeaks ... I am not very clear what the laws of Japan will be like, but I do not think the point at which these guys get to organize is very realistic, having all the " clans ”or gangs a perfectly determined suit and each one a motorcycle. It is simply impossible (even seen from the point of view of illegality) that simple teenagers get that amount of resources. Why when they go through the streets nobody asks them anything? Has a police officer ever passed them while the characters were riding all those motorcycles in groups of dozens of kids? Did no passerby catch your attention? While I agree that it is a series, it should not be taken too seriously, I can not stop thinking about these things, and those who have written this story should have put it better. It was not so difficult for them to change motorcycles for bicycles, for example, and perhaps not add the clan uniforms until the characters were more adult, or at least explain it and have some character say something like “my father owns a local sewing shop and prepared these costumes for us ”.

While these things take me and lose me out of the story, I still think they're not "harmful" enough, so to speak, for the story, and it's totally enjoyable anyway.

The fight scenes are really enjoyable. I love every time one character punches another; how the body behaves after receiving a blow, and the general animation when fighting, 10/10.
Despite this, I return to what I said at the beginning of the review. Character traits are too childish in adults, like Takemichi and Naoto, and too adult in others, like Mikey and Draken. That is why I prefer to think that each time the protagonist travels to the past, he does not refer to the school period, the second year of high school, but to a time when he was at least a little more adult, more or less to the 17 or 18 years, and thus justified because of the resources that all the characters have (motorcycles, suits, etc.).

Even with all the bad things that I highlighted about this anime, I think it is totally recommended, it can be seen without any problem and it is completely enjoyable, despite all that I think are errors.

At least the first season I enjoyed it a lot; and, although I do not identify with any of the characters, they are all very well done. However, and I will try not to spoil it too much, I felt that as the plot progressed, that tone of "realistic" in the actions of the characters was disappearing.

The first season could get a 9/10, since the "game" between Light and L. is very interesting and entertaining.

But the second season I would put a 5/10; Not because I didn't like the ending at all, but because the actions taken by the characters, previously calculated and ... measured, become horrendous and lead to an ending that is too obvious, and that although this was seen to come from the first episode, it seems to me that its construction is ridiculous and unrealistic.

Also, I would have liked to delve a little deeper into the subject of books and demons, I feel that this part of the story is incomplete

I highly recommend this anime. It is not bad, but it is not the "masterpiece" that many say.
