Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

Both animes are similar in how each episode is often different and is one of the main characters' "cases". They keep you watching and are easy to watch even though they're both really long. Both animes have a group of people (Exorcists in D.Gray-man, Alchemists in Brotherhood) fighting some strong common enemy of the world and protecting humans from their harm. I highly recommend both of them and am sure that if you liked one, you'll like the other also.

Hourou Musuko
add

Aoi Hana and Hourou Musuko are both slow-paced, slice-of-life animes that deal with topics not often in animes - sexual orientation and finding out who you are. Aoi Hana is not your typical yuri; it's much deeper than that. Both animes give you characters that you will grow to love as you learn about their pasts, flaws, fears, and personalities. Each character has such different backgrounds and different problems compared to the others; you couldn't possibly ignore even one of them. Even the side characters have very detailed pasts. Both Aoi Hana and Hourou Musuko have light art, which makes watching them really calming.

No.6
add

No.6 and Sukisho both deal with two main male characters (who seemingly develop crushes on one another, although it's a bit more obvious in Sukisho). Their plots are both actually really unique and complex and they both deal with being stuck in a facility, or, in No.6's case, a really strict, futuristic city that is not what it seems. The main characters aren't all that different from one another, and they all have deep and dark pasts. Sora (from Sukisho) and Rat (from No.6) are both the passive-aggressive characters in the animes who have that secret soft side. No 6. and Sukisho are both great underrated animes that I would recommend to anybody.

Acchi Kocchi
add

Very similar characters (a few examples on this could be Hime from Acchi Kocchi and Tsukasa from Lucky Star or Konata from Lucky Star and Tsumiki from Acchi Kocchi), similar comedy. Lucky Star is pretty much Acchi Kocchi without the romance. The only difference is probably that Acchi Kocchi actually has a main male character, well, two, in it, while Lucky Star is just about all girls. Similar artwork.

Tokyo Mew Mew

Similar idea, magic girl, similar characters. Characters in both animes transform (To mermaid in Mermaid Melody, to various animals in Tokyo Mew Mew). Both have the whole hero-villain thing that the younger audience of anime could enjoy for it's not at all bloody... The villains in both animes start off as not too much of a threat, and slowly get more serious. Both animes have characters with some sort of power. Both of the main males in the series.. well, I won't give it away. Just very similar animes.
