As a fan of Edgar Wright, I always believe that the power of "visual language" is greater than that of "story script", and animation performance and storyboarding are TRIGGER's forte. Whether it's the interaction of the characters, the performance of magic, or the mecha that TRIGGER never forgets (I'm shocked that they took the opportunity to add this element into it), I can safely say that watching LMA gave me a good viewing experience.

Of course, that doesn't mean the script isn't important. For some reason, TRIGGER's works are always filled with a taste of "lack of polishing". It's as if they suddenly decided to start ... animation directly when they were halfway through the worldview design.

Judging from the script, Little Witch Academia feels to me like the Big O that I finished watching a few weeks ago. The first half is biased toward the anthology series, allowing the audience to experience the slice of life in the magic school, and the second half begins to advance the main axis of the story, and this is where the problem arises. There are a few episodes that look great, but when it comes to putting them together it's hard not to notice the loss of detail, which is why I like LWA but can't rate it higher.

But as I said at the beginning, the power of "visual language" is greater than that of "story script", so I would recommend others to watch, or rather, take a chance on being a fan of TRIGGER :)

I enjoyed the plot of battle royale, bromance and a slice of soccer, but after watching the full season I realized that an anime can't just be carried by an "appealing storyline". The budget of the production team does not seem to be sufficient, resulting in many parts not being presented decently.

In layman's terms, when a character speaks a lot but there is not enough animation performance on the screen to support it, the audience might have a feeling of incongruity. And this feeling never left when I watched the next dozen episodes.

I'm not one of those people who always say "the manga was ... better", But compared to the show, I will tend to recommend others to read the manga.

Painful reading experience.

I think Kurando didn't know about "what readers might care about" when writing this story because when the things readers care about have accumulated and have not been answered, antipathy will naturally appear.

"Why is this character still alive?"

"Where do these characters' abilities come from?"

"Who are these people?"

... "When did the relationship between the two get better?"

"Why should I care about this character?"

These were among the many questions I had while reading this manga. After reading dozens of chapters, I found that Kurando didn't pay attention to these things. Instead, he was constantly trying to introduce new characters to the story.

Using characters I don't care about right now to introduce another batch of characters I don't care about right now. I might care about them in the future, but now why should I spend a few chapters watching two "IDCA" characters fighting for inexplicable reasons?

In conclusion, I don't think "the manga was axed so there isn't enough space to explain the many remaining issues", instead, I believe "there are so many remaining issues that have not been explained as to why the manga was axed." Kurando Yukiaki successfully entered my blacklist with just one manga, congrats.

I have to admit that I chose to watch this series out of my guilty pleasure, but it's still an ordeal for me to watch the season finale from episode 5.

In this story, various characters and plots make me feel "deja vu," the strongest demon, the conspiracy in the clouds, the villain with no motive, and the student council...wait, is that Tanya Degurechaff with a dragon?

I should use the word "collapse" to describe the narrative:

The student council recruits the protagonist, and Vermeil tells Alto that the president seems unfathomable. Then there is no "then" the student council doesn't appear in the climax but appears ... at the end, saying things that don't seem to make much sense.

Most intolerably, the author's understanding of Oneesan is surprisingly superficial. Before episode 10, I was curious about Vermeil being the most powerful demon, known as Calamity, sealed for so long —— and she's still blushed by some words from Alto. However, in the eleventh episode, I suddenly realized:

Because she was a loli with a biased background before that!

Because of her family's involvement, she lost control and blew up a city!

And that's why she's called Calamity!

I believe there is a deviation in my original idea because I discovered that Vermeil is not an Oneesan but a taller and bigger loli, and when I realized that, I felt like I was being scammed. Apparently, the Nazuna next door is more of the Oneesan I was expecting than this one.

All in all, my experience with Vermeil in Gold was terrible, even as a RomCom. However, I would like to know the story of Alto's sister; why did she leave "a dress like that" at Alto's residence?

Let's be honest, Edgerunner tells a pretty corny story, I had this feeling when the first episode got premiered at Anime Expo(any AX2022 fellas?).

The core of the story is very similar to the game: the little people of NightCity want to get ahead and climb to the top of the Arasaka Tower, even if they have nothing, they still believe in their ... uniqueness. However, when it comes to the execution part, some seem blunt and "old-fashioned," especially the transition from the first half to the second half seems to have been moved from Tengen Toppa.

However, the spice of 2077 and Studio Trigger made it right. Already-existing game offers compelling worldviews for Boy meets girl's story framing, and the visual impact brought by Hiroyuki Imaishi has satisfied the bright shell required by Night City. Even though I have some opinions on the script of the story, there are a few scenes that did make me experience emotional swings that I didn't experience in dozens of hours of gameplay.

I'm not sure if I'll turn on Cyberpunk 2077 again, after all, CDPR doesn't understand the romance of flying to the moon

I thought it would be different from Gridman...

The first episode of "SSSS.Gridman" creates a world that is unreasonable for you, but this unreasonableness has become the state of the daily state itself. But Dynazenon presents an utterly everyday world, where everything is open, not restricted to something like Gridman.

That is to say, the world of "Dynazenon" is not created, but it presents such a world view, but it is almost the same as that of "Gridman," and it does not face up to the problems that will arise in the real world. For some reason, I always feel like the Gridman is a lite version of the EVA, and I can't think of a reason why.

Utsumi's cowardly and helpless outbursts in the last two episodes are enough to convince him that he wants to hide in a little circle of monsters he's made. However, it backfired, Utsumi is just a good friend of the protagonist, a talkative "introvert." So I think Utsumi is a wasted character.

I've never held out much hope for animations/TV series/movies based on games, especially fighting games. However, even with such mental preparation, it is an awkward, absurd viewing experience.

I don't think the story needs to be told in more than six episodes. On the contrary, I don't believe the length of it is used well, which leads to the details being rushed through (how did Jin meet his friends?) and the main storyline making people feel lengthy.

Another intuitive feeling is that the creator did not refer to other animated series with similar themes when writing the script. The ... tournament can't make people feel their blood boil at all, even if the moves of many characters are restored to the episode, and there are many familiar faces of players here. In fact, the tournament is not valued; it is only a part of the process, a necessary step to reach the end. As for the ending, I can't even feel how our protagonist has grown, and I can only say, "yes, you should choose ***** *** instead of *** because the former is stronger." Oh, maybe the story is as straightforward as the Tekken 3 story? OK, how much is 2022 minus 1996?

In summary, the series failed to break the spell and wasted much potential. If you are not a Tekken fan but are interested in Tekken, please watch a Tekken tourney or buy a Tekken game to play. If you are a Tekken player looking for some fun outside the game, I suggest you read the patch note of Ver 5.00, which is way better than watching this.

By the way, Netflix's translation is hopeless, I really hope they at least hire Google Translate.
