This one was definitely better than the last movie. While the previous one was good, the story bored me and the new characters didn't interest me much. This time around, the story and characters are both better.
The story though, doest take some time to develop. The first half is slow, but it sets up the story nicely. It is the usual escort mission that goes awry. And then Naruto and his teammates have to come into save the day. It's been done before, but it's not too tired to become a drag..... 6

to be missing from the second movie. Higher production values on the movie are really evident.

The sound is it's usual sound. While the English VA is serviceable, I'm sure the Japanese VA is better. I watched this one off CN, and not the Interwebz so that's the reason for that.... 7
The new characters are serviceable, they are interesting but nothing that really warrants remembrance. Except for the leader of the mercanry Shinobi. He has an interesting glove that can turn opponents into stone. And he actually uses it to some tragic use. Naruto doesn't stray at all from his usual mold, but it's the guy we love....7
The enjoyment is given an 8. The fight scenes are good, but not too long unfortunately. Thankfully we get to see some of Naruto's other side break through.... 8
Overall it gets a 7 from me.
