Onimai is a show about a man who turns into a little girl as a result of his little sister's science experiment. As the show progresses, the protagonist, Mahiro, starts to learn and understand the lifestyle as well as the body of a girl. At first Mahiro attempts to retain his masculinity but slowly accepts his life as a girl.

as people overtime and learn how to become more upstanding. So while the beginning might be hard to sit through, the show starts to get better overtime and fun to watch.
I've read other reviews and understand the controversy that surrounds this series. The series controversial topic consist of trans and sexual themes. These did not prevent me from enjoying the show. It might be because I watched the show with my friends or that I am used to seeing this type of subject in anime. If you are able to watch through the show without being disturbed by the themes of sexualization of little girls or sexual themes in general, then the show is generally enjoyable. Find friends who have the same taste as you and watch this with them. It will make the show a lot more fun to watch and funny.
Overall, give this show a shot. Don't drop it after one episode. Try to watch at least two or three before coming to your own conclusion about this series. It is very fun to watch.
