Not as good as the original manga or Brotherhood (wich is basically the same), but it make som interesting alterations that makes this a good anime on it's own. My biggest problem is the lack of humor and comedy, and the overly dramatic vibe of the show. There's so much emphasis on sentimentality, there's so many grave and serious talks and dialogues, that it's at times difficult not to laugh. The original manga and the Brotherhood-anime managed to balance the action with comedy and drama to near a perfect blend.
