Deadman Wonderland (Anime) add

Remember Lance Armstrong? The guy who managed to cheat perhaps every single fucking organism on the planet? What I am going to present you is the anime version of him. If you don't know better, Deadman Wonderland will come to you as a pretty good anime. However it is perhaps the worst anime adaptation of all time.

Now where do I start? I myself don't know seriously. But I guess that a brief introduction will do a whole lot of good for you guys who don't have a clue about it. Simply put it is a horror survival anime with some action. Now let me state ... that this show requires you having well developed testicles since the blood, gore and the themes present are not for everyone.

Ok lets begin. Simply put, this anime is a fucking piece of garbage. A colossal waste of time. Now I hear you say, 'The premise looks very good and and many people have said that it is good!' Unfortunately the people who recommended you this anime don't know anything about the source material which is perhaps one of the best manga I have ever read. It basically spits on the manga and shows it the biggest middle finger possible.

Now I will focus on it's story. Incomplete anime in my opinion are equivalent to the offspring of Hitler and Mussolini. But what gets my blood boiling is how much damage it does to the manga. The anime was used as a promotional thing. But how do you promote a fantastic work with the worst adaptation ever? Its fucking incomplete. It leaves you asking why you ever watched it since you could have spend the time changing your pathetic life and making yourself a better person.

The art's pretty good. Animation is top notch and I have no complaints here.Battle scenes don't' cut any corners. Visuals complement the anime very well. Overall I think the animation is pretty solid stuff.

Now give me a moment to tell you about the opening. Its the best fucking opening I have ever listened to. Its called One reason and there is no reason for you to not to listen to it. It's a rock song with excellent lyrics. Mother fucking excellent lyrics. Listen to the complete version of the song and you will appreciate how well it describes the feelings of the protagonists. Along with Lain's Duvet and Mirai Nikki's Kuusou Mesorogiwi, it is simply the best opening I have ever listened to.

But before that let me tell you about the animation which accompanies the song. It's fantabulous. Sexy. Mesmerizing. Amazingly well made.

Now you are probably thinking what a hypocrite I am. In the beginning I was bashing this anime and now I am praising it. But the previous paragraph was the last positive paragraph I have for this anime before I get back into my rage mode.

Deadman Wonderland has decent characters. But no character development whatsoever. Whiny boy stays whiny. Before you attack me saying that it is only 12 eps long, a good anime can completely flesh out it's characters in 6 episodes. And then there are Mockingbird and Shiro. You want to know more about them. But the anime proceeds to give you the biggest cock block of all time.

About the manga. I shouldn't do this on an anime review but I have to do so. The manga is all round excellent. Everything is superb. Read it. Like right fucking now. Then see the anime( please don't) and you will understand the disservice done by it.

I apologize if this review came across as a rant. I sincerely tried my best not to make it look like one. Maybe it was on the border. But I had to say something about it. It's a mess. If it would have been longer with around 30-40 episodes and adapted faithfully, I would praised the living shit out of it. But I find myself criticizing it instead. My advice to you would be to read the manga and forget that this anime existed.

If you have read other reviews before mine, you are now under the impression that Anohana is the greatest thing ever created since sliced bread.However, if you would like to hear me out, I have a few gripes with this anime. It's not that I want to hate this anime to sound different. I don't hate Anohana at all, but the praise heaped over it always confuses me. So here are my unfettered thoughts about Anohana.

Story-5. The story was, according to me, a so-so one. It mainly deals with the loss of an old friend, how the characters deal with it and how their lives ... are affected by it. Just one problem. How do you keep grieving over a death which occurred ages ago like it only happened yesterday? What I look in an anime is its storytelling.And whether you want to believe me or not Anohana sucked at story telling. I had to drag myself to see each episode. There was nothing stimulating that I could find or anything remotely exciting. What I mean to say it's boring.That's it.

Art-8 Well I can't say anything bad about the animation if you forced me to. From background to the character models, everything is well made and sweetly animated.Moving on

Sound-6. Both the op and ed are hardly memorable. Next

Character-3 My biggest complaint about this anime. I swear I never saw such deadbeat characters. Every freaking episode you have this unremarkable hero brooding and looking dull as fuck. It's like a massive vacuum popped out from his tatami mats and sucked out all of his soul. It's true that death does affect you badly. But I wonder why couldn't his retarded father take him to a psychologist or so. I pride myself on remembering all the characters even after a year of watching a show. But its only like 3 or 4 months after watching this anime and I see myself struggling to name all the characters. Menma is annoying. That it. She is your typical klutzy girl who gawks and apes at everything she sees and behaves as if she was born yesterday.Rest of the characters are hardly worth mentioning.

Enjoyment-3 None whatsoever. By now I would be put inside a shredder by the rest of the anime community. But I will speak my unreserved thoughts. Well to be honest Anohana isn't something which is meant to be enjoyed. It's a commentary of how death affects a person. But it felt completely flat if anything else. I didn't try Anohana for giving me thrills and chills, but I didn't ask for being bored either.

Ending- Here's where a stone cold motherfucker like me wept like a poor child. The ending was really sad and poignant. The final moments of the anime were enough to make Kim Jong Un take a tissue and wipe his tears.

Overall- By now I probably occur to you as a guy who wants to look cool by thrashing a popular anime. But before you hit the Not Helpful button with gusto, let me say this. An ending makes or breaks an anime. Anohana, having a beautiful ending managed to manipulate the viewer's emotions into thinking it's an amazing anime. But rewatch it and you might just get what I am trying to say.

Every year a cluster of anime release for people to gobble whatever they can get their hands on. However a few well made anime somehow don't get as much public attention they deserve. The hidden gem among piles of sand.

This anime is the one.

While sucky reboots and trashy sequels keep spreading their vice like grip among people who haven't breathed outside air for a long time, Hataraku Maou Sama is the odd kid in the block. It has a totally new concept which totally works for its genre. While most other stuff still don't know their true identities after 10 episodes, this anime knows ...

Every once in a while you make a damning mistake. A mistake so profound you feel nothing but deep regret for yourself. After reading perhaps a thousand reviews on MAL, I knew I had to avoid this sizzling pile of mess like the plague, however I decided to see what made this nausea inducing anime so popular and I learnt what I already knew.

Popularity doesn't make something good.

Obvious isn't it? But curiosity got the better of me and I decided to see it. What followed was torture so gruesome I bet even a guy from the middle ages couldn't fathom such excruciating stuff. Maybe I ... was paying for the sins I paid. Heck even all the sins committed by my ancestors wouldn't compare anything to what I went through. If there is one thing I absolutely hate, its boredom. Fairy tail didn't bore me. It left me a gibberish wreck. There is a certain limit to how much you can recycle stuff. If we had been recycling like this in real life the Earth would be restored to its real glory. But can someone restore the time I wasted watching this harrowing anime on Animax?

Time is precious. There are million things you can do in your life. Don't waste it on watching fairy tail. Let me tell you why you shouldn't even touch this anime with a 10 feet long stick

1) No plot. Every anime cannot be Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood, however that doesn't mean it has to be totally brain dead with nothing resembling a story. If someone ever tells you that Fairy Tail has a good story, pull out a bazooka and shoot him dead on the spot. He was sent by hell itself to mislead you.

2) Fan service. I watch anime to listen to a good story. See characters which amaze me. Listen to music which gets me peppy. Not large chested females who somehow live with body proportions only a magazine publisher could digest. I am amazed how shameless this anime gets every time I see it.

3) Characters - We had Dragon ball Z before. It had glorious men who fought for the Earth for peace. They were men you wanted to be. Full of courage bravado and daring. What do we have here? An annoying hero who tries to act too cool despite himself. A female lead who apparently puts silicon in her chest every episode. A red haired female called Erza who doesn't have something even resembling a personality. And a guy called Gray who you would probably discard without even looking at him. Just his sound annoys me.

4) Friendship- Its 4v4 between the good guys and the bad guys. Only one good guy remains standing. Now its 1v4. Our hero is outmatched.Can anything save him? Lets see. A boost up in energy perhaps? Some rage induced power? Clever tactics? No mon ami, you are mistaken. The power of friendship will descent from heaven, bringing *sparkly* light and help our hero do things he couldn't do if you had given him a cocktail of redbull, Chilean coffee, strawberry milkshake and cocaine. This anime is bullshit that's my point.

So if you want to feel a universal shattering kick on your nuts or brain hemorrhage watch some fairy tail.

No seriously don't.
