Although Madoka is about a Mahou Shoujo, and FLCL is about a boy who met an alien, they are similar in that, although they believe that they live a normal life, they are dragged into a whirlpool of adventure and sadness in which their lives are changed. None of the protagonists had a choice, and the plot progression for both are incredibly fast. Both are very confusing as to what really happens to the protagonist, and how the plot moved from one place to the next. As you watch these two anime, you are surprised by how imaginative the authors must be in order to create something that is so out of this world. Besides the chaotic nature of the two, the plot is also surprisingly full instead of the meaningless jumble that people usually see in chaotic anime. In addition, both are completely hand drawn, which reminds us of the talented people that the producers must have hired. Both are amazing anime, and if you like Madoka, you would most definitely enjoy FLCL.
