The manga has great pacing, with each chapter ending and picking up on a good spot. The world-building is done nicely. It's also a bit thought provoking, examing what makes someone human, the conscious mind vs. the soul; those types of questions that can leave you thinking after ending a chapter. Dark undertones feel natural, while also remaining fairly wholesome as the two main characters spend time together alone. can tell that the author spent great care working on the story.
The art style/work is something that I really like. Although it's nothing necessarily out of this world, it feels right with the genre and characters of the world. The action panels feel powerful and grand. The sense of scale is something that looks right. Along with that, there's also a pretty good amount of detail.
The characters are something I can only describe as amazing. When it comes to Roue and Chrome, the relationship is developed extremely well. Roue is what I want as a character who seems to be the last human on earth. Chrome is what I want as a bodyguard protecting the last human on earth. The supporting character is also developed nicely. Ojisan is an amazing dad figure for the first part of the story. I managed to quickly like him, even when there hasn't been much time spent on him. The robots are human enough that they can easily be cared about, but robotic enough where they don't feel too unrealistic. They pose questions about humans and the things that they do that don't make sense. It's a great balance between the two. Even small characters who only have a few panels to chapters have me caring for them. The barber robot who sits at his shop waiting for customers almost made me tear up while reading his backstory.
Overall, this is one of the best mangas that I've read, despite not reading many, and it'll remain as one of my favorites. Tsuyoshi Takaki seems to be active on Twitter and is making small updates about the manga, so expect more volumes/chapters soon.
Out of the things I've read so far, I do hope that this manga gets an anime adaptation. I truly believe this story could join the ranks of the best science fiction stories like Gurren Lagann, Darling in the Franxx (ep 1-20), Evangelion, and others alike.

This story is extremely well written. The pacing is pretty good. It knows when to take itself seriously and when not to. I found myself laughing out loud many times throughout reading, even at the jokes that are relatively childish. The worldbuilding is also decently explained.
The art is pretty good. I like the style, along with the different kaiju/character designs. The designs feel relatively unique, especially with kaijus feeling unique to this story. The action is also drawn really well.

great character, knowing when to be comedic and serious. I did expect a relationship more like Venom, with the kaiju that infects Kafka. However, the parasitic kaiju has been MIA, unknown whether he's dead or alive inside Kafka's body. Mina is also well written. I'm glad that she's written like Kafka and she had a childhood friendship, while also showing off her position. I'm glad that they don't have this nostalgic talk about the past, but instead, have a semi-formal relationship as higherup and rookie. Through subtle visual and textual clues, you can get a good sense of what their childhood together was like along with their current relationship, even after years apart.
Overall, I extremely enjoy this manga. Every time a chapter ends, I complain that it was too short, even though it's the average length of a chapter. The action is great. The comedy is great. And the characters are great.

This story is a decently well-written revenge plot.
The story's pacing isn't my favorite. I find that the chapters end too quickly, and certain action/revenge moments go by too fast. However, those are really the only things I can fault the manga at for the moment. Everything else is done pretty well and definitely earns a spot at your above average revenge story. The first chapter did an amazing job at getting you hooked on the story.

it. I feel as if the style illustrates the "evilness" that some of the characters have. Other than character design, however, it isn't much distinction of the art.
The character work could be better. The main character is well written. His motives are clear, but he also has some good morals as well. He wouldn't kill unless they still deserved it, and his actions end up benefitted others (though one of them was short-lived). You know for a fact that those that have wronged him deserved death, something that is needed in a revenge plot. The other characters however are a little basic. I wish there was some more backstory to four out of five of the main antagonists, to see if there's any understanding of why they're evil. The character for a side-romance could use some work, as most just find her to be in the way.
Even with its fault, I really enjoy this story, as I find myself somewhat mad when a chapter ends, wishing for more. Given that the manga is only (probably) about a fifth into its story, I think some of the problems can be fixed.

I can't stand this manga anymore. I don't know what happened, but my enjoyment has heavily fallen as I continued to read. For starters, it's very clear that the author only views the women in the story as property, property that just continues the plot and gives more reason for the main character to get his revenge. The consent rapes and sexual assault can get so annoying, they become hard to read. Not because it's dark, but because it's lazy. It was fine the first time, but when everyone does it, it's simply lazy and bad writing. the characters also feel more and more brain dead by the day. Where the characters used to be sly and tactical at how they attacked each other, it's become a free for where you simply wait for the revenge part to take place.
TDLR: Was somewhat good, now crap. Don't bother reading

I've read a few darker mangas, but this one is the most unique and (to an extent) the most realistic.
The story has good pacing and does a good job of making most of the characters flushed out. The final twist was somewhat unexpected, but also made enough sense that it didn't feel out of place; a relatively hard thing to perfect when telling a story. The ending was also an average bittersweet one.
The art was somewhat basic, with the exception of a few scenes having some more detail. However, considering the genre I was reading, it was something that I expected.

well written. The author did a great job at handling their placement, thoughts, and emotion in the story. I would only consider two characters to be sub-par, characters with somewhat poorly written motivates and are only there to cause problems.
Even with the small number of problems, I really enjoyed reading this. I think it was written well, and did a great job of handling heavy topics like murder and rape. The ending was somewhat average, but I get the sense that it was intentional. It wasn't meant to be anything grand or minuscule, just average.
