I received a recommendation from a friend who told me Chobits was an action/romance/comedy with some ecchi elements in it. While it was all of these, it did not do a good enough job of displaying these genres for me to be able to enjoy it. While it had action, it had no where near enough to be called an action anime. It did have some romance, but only at the very end was this romance truly displayed.
