Is it good? Yes. Is it any more than that? No.

Cons
- The overarching story goal is fairly cookie cutter.
- The main characters are stereotypical and can be dull at times.
- The soundtrack whilst intentionally non-intrusive, is not notable in any way.
- The story arcs are predictable.
- There are incredibly repetitive flashbacks.
- There are several (too many) cliff hangers (some of them in a row).
- The pacing is a little poor in the middle.
... - Basically every character has the same backstory.

Pros
- The animation is decent, nothing outstanding but a bit better than average nowadays.
- It farms that "feel good" feeling which most people enjoy (and is likely its strongest driving factor).
- It's not the most creative of story ideas but the way it tells the story is good.
- Most of the side characters are great.
- The fights aren't visually/audibly awe-inspiring but they're very creative.
- Ignoring clear filler or joke sections, all characters make consistent clear-to-follow logical decisions and as such the story feels natural rather than plot-focused.

Pretty run of the mill slice of life, nothing more, nothing less.


Relatively predictable story arc, but nice progression nonetheless. It's an enjoyable show but nothing really jumps at you or sticks out to make it a cut above other slice of life shows.


Art style isn't particularly stunning, on par with most other slice of life animes. Most characters stuck pretty hard to their respective stereotypes and didn't feel particularly unique excluding the MC.


MC has social anxiety which they slowly start to overcome over the span of the show, everyone's actions and reactions are fairly realistic, no outlandish actions or sudden inconsistent jumps in development but ... equally nothing that would exactly shock or catch the watcher off-guard.


If you like the slice of life as a genre, you'll probably enjoy the show, it's a fairly standard feel-good show but I wouldn't call it a masterpiece.

My personal opinion of the show: An enjoyable show, certainly a cut above normal OP MC shows. What one may wonder however is why all of my ratings for it stand at roughly the 8 mark and yet I've rated it a 6. The reason for this is this anime is a prime example of a last episode disaster.

Without trying to spoil it, overall it's a relatively unique story all things considered and then a few episodes before the end there is an interesting twist but then for some reason, they twist it again and it spirals down into one of the most cheesy ... and cliché possible story endings to what could've been great even before the initial twist.

I'll keep it simple:

Out of all anime I've watched, and I've watched the likes of AoT, this has not only *the* best soundtrack but the best story I've ever had the pleasure of watching unfold.

The artwork isn't on par with the likes of Ufotable (Fate/Demon Slayer) which is why it's not a 10, but it certainly doesn't leave you disappointed in the animation either.

Personally, I watched this show at a point where I'd started getting bored of anime, I saw this pop up in my recommended and though "eh, why not"; I ended up enjoying it so much that it completely ... revived my interest in anime. To merely claim that I enjoyed this anime would be an understatement.

Characters...a tricky one. My understanding of the show is that it essentially tells the story through the characters rather than telling a story with characters on the side. Looking at the characters individually there isn't much to see, hence, the 7/10 for characters. But the reason why I've disregarded this in my overall rating is how these characters are used to link in with the story. It's my understanding that this fact is why the show is the most underrated I've ever seen.
