Great and I MEAN GREAT Dbz movie. I have no idea how and why did they cook so hard but they did.
Everything is up to speed - the characters , pacing , progression and ending AND FIGHTING. The idea of Goku having an alternate version of himself where he didn't bump his head is already material worthy but what they did with Turles is even better. The animation , scenery , soundtrack and voice acting is top notch (in japanese at least idk the dub). Goku gets the SECOND sickest spirit bomb ever (I'm sorry the GT one is just ... the best) and the ending is all sorts of beautiful. From the get-go this movie is very nature oriented where the entire movie focuses on restoration of everything green and alive. It was honestly beautiful both the apocalypse scenes and the animal bits


And Goku???? He became so much better of a character JUST for this movie. He has this very cheerful yet caring aspect for Gohan throughout this movie it's insane! He literally didn't care about anything else even the world beside saving his own son which is a VERY rare occasion when he's called him a dumbass in the series 3-4 times. It was refreshing seeing Goku act like a good and caring father and I loved it.

Turles also had great personality where he didn't have 1 singular note (like most villains in the franchise) where they say the same exact thing and talk about only 1 thing nah this guy oosed a great character and personality. From the planting tree , from the oozaru idea to the recruitment of gohan and murdering and despise of goku to the voice and tember it's just GREAT. He felt like a real villainous character for the time he was in it.

Soundtrack hit hard too. Idk if this ost is original but it must be cause I don't think I've ever heard it before but the scenes where the Earth was dying , the scene where Goku was gathering the genki and the restoration of Earth were perfect due to the amazing selection of ost matching perfectly the scenes letting you feel the weight of everything going on in the movie

Obviously a slight W for including characters like yamcha , tien , chiaotzu and krillin and Gohan as the semi-lead role. Ikarus was also really cute. Him and Gohan's scenes were cute and well built-up to at the Great Ape scene.

I'm not only giving it a 10/10 but also calling it the best dragon ball Z movie. It was a trend for many dbz and dbs movies to be great but always have some problems that just don't let the movie get to a 10/10 even if you want to. Z Broly was great but the ending was anti-climactic. Super Hero was great but there were scenes of genuine cringe and modern-anime stereotypes. Super Broly was great but had scenes of ruining character personalities and so on. THIS movie was perfect from start to finish

A must watch definetly!
