Now at first i really liked Deadman Wonderland, good start in my own personal opinion.
The story was very good, there are many problems with it and some things i think they just went to far with, but made a certain amount of sense from the situation they were in.
The art was great, i really enjoyed the effort put into the little things, there were some things they left out on but other than that it was very gory but you'll understand more of that when you watch the anime yourselves.
The sound i personally dont have any complaints over, it was outstanding, sound effects of
...
the fight scenes and the ambient sounds of Deadman Wonderland. Which is quite rare i normally hate ambient sounds as i get distracted rather easily.
Characters had some issues from a personal point of view, great never the less, the later characters really suited the environment they were in. Can't say i liked the main character too much for the first half, but it got better later on.
I totally enjoyed everything except one particular scene which even for me was a bit too much, real or not and i love those kinds of things. Reason why i watched anime as a much younger age :D but there is a limit to everything. But it was great.
Overall going from the scores thus far it is a 9/10 I recommend this anime for those among you who enjoy gory animes with creative ideas for a power, i have not come across something that has used this idea which who knows i might get told otherwise.
Anyways it is quite gory the themes are quite 'degrading' and very much so dark, even creepier is the 'promoter' does it all with a smile. Ended too soon though and i would of preferred a longer running anime since there just aren't enough of Deadman Wonderland park shown in the anime series. But other than that one complaint as long as you Love Dark, Gory animes with special abilities than you are going to Love this.

Bento now i have to say im one of those people who dont really put to much thought into ratings infact if you look at my list they are all practically 7+ so i wouldnt pay to much mind to my ratings of this anime either but lets get to the actual explaining :P
Now the story, first of all i thought "oh a fight over bento's? eh sounds lame" but once you really get into it and once they start explaining the rules, the pig's and dogs' and wolves of the story really just get you hooked in and makes you think "oh damn how
...
much fun would that be?"
It really is an outstanding story with a bit of school love and i mean a bit not much at all, lots of fighting but the real enjoyment comes out from what goes on between the wolves, pigs and dogs. If it didnt have those things it would certainly be alright yeah but not outstanding!
The art well i dont really have any complaints about it, it was above average and good all round. Though someone might be able to point out the flaws of the art i dont really care much for the art as long as it isnt stick figures and they bother putting the effort in to make things look realistic isnt that all that matters?
Well same with sound it was very good and quite interesting at times, the fight music and all, quite interesting choices made and some i didnt get the point of which occurs in an episode it practically is something that only occurs that one time and for only a few seconds but i guess its just to make out that she doesnt want the other person to see it.
The characters were interesting and the 'Ice witch' and 'Pervert' were certainly my favourite characters im sure if you watch it you'll figure out who they are (im been vague to prevent spoiling things) The Ice witch because shes powerful and quite knowlegdable about the art of 'Bento Wars' or Bento Royals' whichever, or what ever you wanna call them, in the end it doesnt matter, anyways how she helps 'pervert' to become a wolf and teach him the difference between wolves, pigs and dogs. Though he learns from other characters in the story like 'brunette' and 'monk' oh and 'goatee' as well.
The 'pervert' is interesting because he seems to be quite unlucky and its funny on how things end up, it really is just hilarious watching what bad luck occurs to him, XD. How he likes the ice witch is also quite interesting. And then there is the 'bento gods' cant remember the actual term so ill use a title of one as an example "The Oil god" but the one of the Ralph store seems to attract his attention as well! XD even the cliche' pool scene has the added fervor of his bad luck and the bento royal!
I truly enjoyed this anime its one of those that you have to watch from start to finish to truly love which isnt hard since its 12 episodes long, but even if you dont watch start to finish its certainly is an awesome anime to get into.
Though alot of animes out there have comedy and action this really just takes the cake the 'cliche' pool scene i mentioned earlier also has a very funny bento there and i have to say you have GOT to watch it to learn it, as it would be a massive unfortunate spoiler if i did here in this review.
Well overall a grand anime, and one of my favourite 12 episode animes. Its just not long enough to be one of my top favourite animes as im one of those guys who get attached and wanna see MORE! but not to much if they have 38 more episodes i would be so happy but i guess it would be alot less action packed if it did. Only boon of short animes more going on.
Since im babbling on in a review it will probably be ignored but ive written this much and not discarding it.
I recommend this anime to those who like action packed funny animes and dont care to much for it been a relatively short anime compared to some out there. And dont mind a tiny amount of "Senpai is all i need" think thats what he says XD well you gotta watch this anime just WATCH IT!!

This anime was an anime that was full of disappointment and enjoyment.
Unfortunately when i first watched this anime i stopped at episode 12 as i just couldnt bare to watch it any further thinking it could only get worse but that is where i was sorely mistaken. Wish i kept to my "No Expectations no Disappointment" ideology.
Well at first the story was very interesting there are bits that are a bit sketchy and gets very dark. Such as the "sugur" episodes (watch to learn more about that).
Its got parts that can make you bawl your eyes out because you wish it never occurred
...
which i missed out on originally because i never finished the series. Its one of those animes that you need to finish no matter your feelings from the start to middle to end. And you'll regret not doing so.
Well now to get to the proper review.
The story is very interesting, and i haven't seen an anime that reminds me of it yet. But it does take a few things here and there that reminded me of other animes ive seen in the past. This anime really makes you think of what its like to be "At the top" making difficult choices for everyone's benefit and how even though "the end justifies the means" in the 'leaders' mind comes to mind the people that suffer beneath it feel otherwise.
This is shown very well in the 2nd half of the series you dont really notice it a great deal in the first half. Though you do see how making the choices affect one person at least once in the series.
Now the art that was amazing i loved it. Top notch. Cant really find a reason why someone would say otherwise but well everyone has there own opinions. It was very interesting what happens when great minds and great ideas come together. The magnificant art is really something i wish to see in the future.
It would have to be on par with "Ghost in the Shell Stand alone Complex" and its sequal "Ghost in the Shell 2nd Gig" Which are two of my very favourite animes and got me started in animes. And quite rarely will you ever find me comparing anything to them.
Sound was great as the 'rate' system here puts it. I dont have much to complain about and the sound really went well with the stuff going on. The background music is superb to top it all off. Only real complaint is i dont like the openings but meh that has nothing to do with the series now does it HAHA.
Characters now thats something that has everything to do with a series. The characters really fill in the gaps that the story has. And if even 1 character was not in it you would feel that the series was ruined completely.
The Character "Hare" is one of them shes a kind person who loves Ouma Shu Her void is quite interesting as well. Her void is as with all voids a reflection of her personality or 'heart' as the series will put it. She is the kind of character that you wish was you friend.
Yahiro (family name) is a very two faced person. Who has one personality at one part and another in a different part. It really annoyed me as in the 2nd half he is partly to blame for the 'mistakes' that Shu makes. and practically takes no blame for them really a character you would never want to meet.
Now if i continued for every character i would be here all week. Well to cut it short ill leave it at one last character.
Inori who is my favourite character in this series. Shes quiet, indifferent, strong and weak all at the same time. Sometimes you think one thing about her and BAM! that gets shifted up and you dont understand why and then you start to think how you ever thought that but in the end you always will get why you did. shes just a mystery.
I enjoyed the series mostly and only really didnt like certain bits but more or less its a good series and i have no real complaints as i said up around the start, its a series you need to watch from start to finish to truly like.
*Spoilers* well *Semi Spoilers*
The real thing i wanted to never occur happens and it really disappointed me in the end. I wanted the "Happy ending" where everyone is happy but that was impossible even for animes.
I couldnt care less about Gai but Ouma Shu and Inori i wanted them to be the 'couple' the perfect ending but no my hopes were dashed just like many other things.
*Spoilers* *Spoilers*
I recommend this series for those of you out there that like a good twist and a semi love story. With a great mix of deceit and Action. And those that like a bit of a conspiracy MUHAHAHA XD But seriously its a must watch series.
And a song i have to recommend from this series is Hill of Sorrow!

This was one of those animes you just get absorbed into, though that is only from my personal references. This might not be so interesting to a person who doesnt care for a dark anime.
The story is really interesting and something that is quite cliche' with the main protagonist 'Ryner Lute' who travels around with 'Ferris Eris' in search of the 'legendary hero artifacts' pretty basic, story line with an interesting twist.
Ryner Lute has eyes called 'Alpha Stigma' or 'Alpha Stigmata' which ever you would prefer, that have the ability to steal any magic he sees used. Which you will notice throughout the series. Though
...
his eyes are special ill get into that more later on. Ryner is seen as a very lazy person who doesnt want to do anything except have 'afternoon naps' and i personally agree with him there.
He travels with Ferris Eris who is the sister of the current head of the Eris household. She is incredibly powerful for a warrior with no magic. She easily deals with large numbers of people though she isn't invincible they make a good team as she is running up front with a powerful melee and he supports with magic, and been able to copy any magic he sees he can use it against them they normally stop using magic after they notice this though and just stick to weapons. (with exceptions)
Sion Astal who knows Ryner Lute from the Special Royal Academy *spoiler* and later becomes king *spoiler* is a bright and charismatic person who is considered a hero among the people of Roland. He is surrounded by loyal and powerful subordinates who support him in his ideal to have a peaceful nation. He is also very much so a work 'a' holic who does alot of work thats required of him without much common sense such as eating. And with his loyal subordinates aid they keep him in good health to help run the nation of Roland.
They are the three main characters with other important characters been Ferris Eris older brother who is also the head of the Eris household and her younger sister Lucile Eris and Iris Eris.
Isnt much to say about Lucile other than that he is more or less the kingpin of the Roland Nation who is incredibly and insanely powerful who *spoiler* makes a persons head explode with no effort *spoiler*
Iris on the other hand dearly holds her sister in high regards and works to keep her happy (easily seen from the series) oh and cant forget this piece of info but Ferris is obsessed with Dango especially 'Wynot's Dango' and Iris will deliver the Dango to her on nearly all occassions i can remember off the top of my head but dont hold me to that.
Now the art is pretty good though its not the best ive seen from my many animes ive watched over the years. Its never the less good but still sometimes i wish they worked on it a little more. Never the less its not the worst ive seen but it is one of those animes where you notice it on the odd occasion.
Character speech is pretty good, only one i have to complain about is Iris even now im still not a fan of little girls who suck up to people's voices its like nails and a blackboard x 1000. The sound effects are pretty good especially when *spoiler* Ryner lute goes out of control rapes absolutely everyone around him *spoiler* (please dont take that literally) I never really noticed any environmental sounds though. That could really use some work, but that could just of been from my 'tunnel vision' and me getting absorbed into the story.
I enjoyed the series very much and would definitively recommend this series to anyone. *Spoiler* My favourite scenes throughout the series are when Ryner Lute goes nuts and kills everyone in his 'berserk' status. And the laugh damn i cant get enough of it. Guess that just me and been dark and evil inside haha *spoiler* If they had more involved and more dangerous things occur during those kind of scenes I would have to say it would be top notch in terms of my gruesome bloody side of animes. but alas there isn't well not from Ryner anyways.
Now to get back to the eyes i said i would talk about more, the alpha stigma that Ryner has is well ill say "Special" i wont say anymore than that otherwise it will ruin it for others. They allow him to do more than the average Alpha stigma user. Now his eyes are not the only ones that exist there are 3 in total. Since you'll find out roughly around episode 17 (dont hold me to that) i dont think anyone will mind me saying and describing them but anyways
*SPOILER* The first eyes are his, which can copy any and all magic he sees and are the most common eyes (his are unique though watch series to find out why), Then there are eyes that allow one to see inside peoples dreams and only appear once in the series, And lastly eyes which can absorb all forms of power and people. Now you only see a person with that once in the series. I hope will we see more in a 2nd season if that will ever happen. *spoiler*
Overall this series is great and full of a great mix of comedy from the traveling of Ferris and Ryner, as well as awesome scenes of Destruction from Ryner.
The series can be quite dark especially when Ryner is going berserk (even the sky shows that clearly and dont ask why).
Other than it been dark (which can be a bonus to some and a detriment to others) its a extremely good series, other than the art been a little disappointing and Iris annoying voice it certainly is a top notch anime.
Hope that reading this review didnt totally waste your time. Hope you watch the series if you haven't already.

This is a good anime that has an unexpected story, with the main characters it adds a great flare to it.
The male protagonist is a person who you can really understand, not wanting to experience the issues that come with the job. With his 'ability' (keeping it vague to not spoil it) he can easily accomplish many things but he hates it and how it activates that is what you have to admit and say sucks. Though some people would love it as well.
The female protagonist has issues with connecting with people which can also be understood. "The strong are alone" though i cant remember
...
where i heard this it really comes to mind when watching this anime and seeing her relationship with her fellow butei.
You can really connect with the main 2 characters and with other characters it adds a funny flare to it as well it also allows more interesting things to happen.
No one wants something where the same people do the same thing over and over again. Thats why this anime is so good you only have the male and female protagonist in each 'mission' that way the 3rd character is someone different which allows a person to keep interested it whats going on.
I recommend this anime to people who like lots of action with surprisingly lots of comedy mixed in.
Sometimes you just have to feel sorry for the male protagonist but on other occasions you just want to be in the same boots too.

This anime was magnificent. I have never laughed so much in an anime before.
With the story that was really really unexpected it kept me wanting more after every episode. When i watched this I started at 10pm and couldnt stop till I finally noticed that the sun was rising at 5:30am.
This is one of those animes that you wanna keep at it till its over. With the story line been based in schools and classes which are some of my favourite animes.
With the comedy most people find it quite difficult to add action into it without disturbing the flow of the anime,
...
but they have perfected it, in fact its more or less keeping it at a steady pace.
The action just slides on in and it doesnt just change suddenly like you expect, since i dont want to spoil anything its hard to give out the explanation that would sell this anime as one of the best comedy animes ive seen.
I couldnt stop laughing it was great how the class is like and the great mix of romance added into the action and comedy.
Now this is a SPOILER so either stop reading or close your eyes!
When the main protagonist whom im referring as probationary student gets lunches from the 2 girls in the class and the "Inquisition" come in and give him the 'death penalty' oh god cant stop laughing even thinking about it is making me laugh, as he gets punished for the actions of the girls who like him HAHA!!
Well if you stopped reading my bad luck well, i recommend this anime to anyone who loves a good laugh and likes a story that is unlike any others. Its got a good amount of action with a dash of romance.
Its a great anime. If you dont watch this anime than there is something seriously wrong with you, its one for all ages. Everyone likes a good laugh

Im one of those people who really enjoy a series to the point of excluding movies. To date ive watched very little of the movies released for anime series that i have watched.
I was pleasantly surprised when i watched this movie, and i have to say they have totally improved the anime with this movie.
For example throughout the series "Angels" appear a mechanical constructs that dont bleed. Now that isn't correct as the Angels are for a matter of fact a different possible course of man kind. (if you watch the series you''ll understand)
When i watched the movie i was extremely happy with the fact
...
that they made the angels more "ALIVE" it helped correct that terrible mistake and been a guy who loves gory movies/animes/shows it really added to my happiness meter.
Though i am disappointed with the fact that they made it a movie instead of a remaking of the series. As what they did in this was pretty much take all the "life" out of the actual story and just put in the important bits and kept all the action.
Im not saying that is a bad thing, some people prefer a shorter more action based animes, and so do I. Even now i skip bits in anime to get to the good bits.
But with this anime you need those 'life' scenes though i still have not seen the other movies of this series i truly intend to. It was a magnificent movie, as i was saying with the scenes they cut out between the 3 angels you find alot more of the story is explained.
I recommend this movie to people who like seeing battles between big 'robot' like beings and gory blood. Though i would recommend watching Neon Genesis: Evangelion as well.
Though you would be more than likely skip bits and pieces if you watch it after watching this series as i have said it is practically a remake that makes better use of technology and keeps more to the fact that Angels are alive rather than mechanical constructs.
To conclude this review and to simplify the babble.
This movie is a remake of the original series, but dramatically improves the scenes that are in it.
It is dramatically shorter. and only has 3 Angels in this movie out of a grand total of 12 (feel free to correct that its been awhile since i watched the original series).
Ive got some disappointment with the fact that its a movie and not and series like its predecessor but that doesnt change the fact that is a brilliant anime movie. And the fact it was released separately (I personally prefer a super long movie to lots of short ones)
Recommended for Lovers of Large beings fighting one another, and gory blood soaked tears of joy.
Once you watch this anime you'll never want it to end.

When i was first told of this anime i didnt like it at all. It was just not interesting from what the person was saying. But that is only because this anime is one of those you have to watch to truly understand.
With a great story that is one of the best ive seen. With Maebara Keiichi and his group of friends Rena Ryuuguu, Shion Sonasaki, Rika Furude and Satoko Houjou.
He spends his days playing games with them and experiencing the hilarious 'punishments' that occur throughout the series adding some of the best laughs ever.
The anime also has a deadly seriousness to it, as well
...
as a creepy sense to it. Without one of these many sides to this anime it would not be the great anime it is.
Though the anime with BLOW YOUR MIND! and that is no exaggeration. Though watching it a second time you'll mind wont be blown to bits. The story is awesome and i cant say much about it without giving away crucial details that could ruin the experience of the anime.
Well to cut it short, its an anime that really is worth watching. Putting aside a weekend for this anime would not be a waste!
Its one of a kind and it will be in your mind for the rest of your Life! This anime will be at the top of your favourites list for all eternity!
