Zero no Tsukaima was a series I started on a whim. I really didn't have too many expectations for it.
My love for this series has grown since watching the first episode. Since then, I've finished the rest of the seasons and anxiously awaited each episode of the Final season as it came out. In my honest opinion, this was the best season out of all of them, mainly because it just met and exceeded every single one of my expectations.
Story: 9/10
Zero no Tsukaima F starts off where Princess no Rondo left off, but with a few new twists thrown in. First off was how
...
Saito managed to become the familiar of both Tiffa and Louise, due to an accident. This newfound power come in handy, as discovered when Louise uses her newest void power. However, it comes at a heavy price. Near the end of the series, Louise does something that, I'm sure, made just about everyone scream out in frustration. She sends Saito back to his world.
Overall, I thought the storyline was pretty good, but there was definitively places where it seemed rather rushed, especially in the last episode. (I really can't see Siesta, Tiffa, Tabitha, and Henrietta getting over Saito choosing Louise THAT easily.)
Art: 9/10
If you've seen any other season of Zero no Tsukaima (Which I will assume you have), the art is the same. Nothing new, nothing old.
Sound: 10/10
The music in Zero no Tsukaima F is perfect in every way. The music itself, as well as the places where it's played, adds to the effect of the scenes very well. There is nothing at all to complain about here.
Character: 9/10
Being the last season, I really didn't think there would be any form of character development. I didn't know how wrong I would be. Louise decides, against her own feelings, and sends Saito back to his world. Saito, upon his return, actually (finally) conveys his true feelings for Louise, and asks for her hand in marriage (Cmon... we ALL saw that coming! :D). The only real complaint I have is in the end. I can see how the other girls after Saito would accept his choice, but not as easily as they did... (I'm not really complaining though, since Saito has to be with Louise. No exceptions.)
Enjoyment: 10/10
However sad I might be that this is the last season, I enjoyed Zero no Tsukaima F greatly. The mixture of fast-paced action, along with the new plot twists thrown in made the story extremely enjoyable. But, the part I loved the most was, you guessed it, the very end. Louise uses her void powers to bring them back to Tokyo! A happy ending for an amazing series.
Even though I anticipated what would happen at the last episode, I still can't help but just go D'AWWWWWW in the final 5-6 minutes. I loved it, it was amazing, and there's nothing else I can say but this. GO WATCH IT!

There are some memories that shouldn't be let go, no matter what the circumstances may be. You choose your own path, and it will always be your own; something that others cannot influence or change.
Ef: A Tale of Memories. When I was first introduced to this series, I wasn't too sure what to expect. The first thing I thought was, "Oh, it's just another romance anime." However, it is much, much more than that. The entire series is split into two simultaneous stories that are actually connected to each other, despite how different each part is. This was the first anime that I gave 10/10
...
to in every category. It's not just that it was enjoyable and was presented well, but that the deeper meaning and messages in the anime really spoke to me. Watching it posed interesting (and often quite depressing) questions about my own life. What would I (or you) do if my memory only lasted thirteen hours? Watching Ef: A Tale of Memories has changed the way I view the world and might potentially affect choices I make in the future.
Evaluation:
Story: 10/10
There is nothing to be said here. The stories present in Ef: A Tale of Memories are almost flawless. There is a delicate mixture of joy and a dark underlying tone of pain and suffering. I found this to be unlike any other storyline I've ever seen. Nevertheless, I enjoyed it immensely.
Art: 10/10
Once again, I found very little to complain about in terms of art and graphics. At first, I was a bit confused from the sort of mosaic scenes that came along every now and then, but as I delved deeper and deeper into the series, I realized how important they were to the story. Every character was drawn beautifully, and the landscape in general was quite amazing.
Sound: 10/10
Ef: A Tale of Memories has some of the most amazing musical pieces in it. The melodies of the intertwining instruments, filled with hope, sorrow, and joy, moved me completely. Though the anime itself didn't manage to make me cry (though it got VERY close several times), listening to the music brought tears to my eyes instantly. Even now, I listen to it whenever I want some peace and quiet.
Character: 10/10
The characters in Ef: A Tale of Memories can only be described as unique. The way they act, along with their personalities, makes them very much like a person you or I might meet in real life. In my opinion, this made the overall effect of the anime much deeper, since you could potentially relate to one character or another.
Enjoyment: 10/10
I have to say. I definitely enjoyed this anime a lot. It was deep, meaningful, and was able to change me as a person, though the change might be very small. Though not exactly a guiding force, there were places in Ef: A Tale of Memories that I could relate to, and such experiences might help me make tough decisions in the future.
Ef: A Tale of Memories is a definite must-watch for those of you looking for a serious love story that contains both happiness and sorrow. The writers of Ef have done an extraordinary job with the plot, as well as the personalities of the characters. Everything, in my opinion, was perfect. Perfect enough to call this anime a true masterpiece.
"If your memory only lasted 13 hours at a time, what would you do? What sort of path would you choose for yourself?"
-Perhaps it's better not to choose, but to lie in wait for the day when someone comes along who will free you from the binds of such a restriction.-

What does it mean to lose someone who is very close to you? Is it the world's way of punishing you for something you've done? Or perhaps it may be a way to delve deeper, to find that Illusionary World within ourselves and to embrace the secrets and truths we find there.
Clannad: After Story weaves a deep and heart-breaking tale of the events following the end of Clannad. While watching, you will laugh, you will cry, and most definitely, you will be moved and touched by the way the story is presented and how it progresses.
Now, if you're looking for a cutesy after story that
...
gives us the "happily ever after" ending that we all yearn to see, Clannad: After Story does something that I have never seen before. The way the characters are, as well as the added affect of watching them move forwards in their lives lets us, as viewers appeal directly to what happens in the anime.
Evaluation:
Story: 10/10
Amazing, heart-breaking, realistic, and a true masterpiece. These are only a few of the words that would accurately describe the storyline behind Clannad: After Story. As I briefly explained above, After Story follows the lives of Tomoya and Nagisa as they move forward with their relationship and onwards to something more significant and special. The scenes are just about perfect, with both happy, funny, and agonizing moments.
Art: 9/10
Alright, I was being a little picky with art before, but after I really got into After Story, I realized that the art was really, really good. The landscapes, especially that of the Illusionary world were done beautifully, though my low-resolution videos didn't nearly show off all of its splendor. In After Story, what really made the art appeal more to me was Ushio's character. Let's face it. No matter how manly, tough or uncaring you try and appear, you will admit that Ushio is just freaking adorable.
Sound: 10/10
Once again, the music was great. It was even better than the music from Clannad. I loved the light and barely audible sounds of "Dango Daikazoku" in the background, as well as the various scenes where there was no dialogue, just music. The music was just simply, a work of art, and helped me truly appreciate After Story.
Character: 10/10
I feel that the characters and their personalities in Clannad: After Story is what makes it so good. Every one of them has a quality that we can identify with, essentially putting us in that character's shoes. With that, it is easier for us to, in a sense, "become" the character at various places in the story. I don't know about you, but being able to relate to at least one of the characters in a slice-of-life anime like this is what makes the anime so enjoyable.
Enjoyment: 10/10
Definitely have to give full marks for enjoyment. Though it was extremely heart-wrenching at points, After Story spins such an amazing story with it that you will love it either way. I especially loved the ending, since, well, it wasn't sad. The side story of the girl and the robot was also great, confusing at first, but as the series progresses, you begin to understand the significance of that little story.
Clannad: After Story has definitely been one of the more intricate and worthwhile animes I've watched. Watching has shown me a new way to live my life, teaching me an important life lesson.
Clannad: After Story is definitely a masterpiece to watch. However, I would recommend watching Clannad first, to get a better understanding of what will happen. Beautiful, touching, and heart-wrenching, After story is one series that you cannot miss out on.

Sometimes, all it takes is a bit of compassion and a few words of encouragement to make a friend. This friend will be one that will stay with you for a lifetime, no matter what may happen.
I first started watching Clannad at the request of one of my classmates. After much pressuring from him, I finally decided to see what was so great about this anime. Starting it, I actually didn't expect too much. I believe that art is important in a good anime, and, looking at the pictures on MAL, it didn't seem too outstanding. Anyhow, back to the subject. The moment I started
...
watching, I was hooked. The story flow was just utterly amazing, and though the art wasn't superb, I think the way each character is portrayed more than makes up for it. Maybe it's because I can slightly relate to the characters, or maybe it just seemed so realistic. Either way, I couldn't stop watching Clannad. It has definitely lived up to the hype I have heard of it, and was one of the few animes that I've seen so far that actually had an emotional response from me.
Evaluation:
Story: 9/10
I have very little to complain about here. The storyline to Clannad was beautiful, with every piece of the plot interlocking with the other parts perfectly. There was nothing to be confused about, and no places where, as a viewer, I felt like I was missing something. There are happy scenes, sad scenes, encouraging scenes, awkward scenes, and basically anything else you might imagine would occur in an average high schooler's life.
Art: 7/10
I think I'm just being picky here. I seem to have a very biased belief that most animes with AMAZING art are going to be the best animes to watch. In Clannad, yes, I have to admit the art was not fantastic (I dunno, it felt like their eyes were way too big). However, it was still better than average by a long shot, and, seriously, after watching it, I can say that, who cares about Clannad's art. Its story is just too damn good.
Sound: 9/10
I loved the music in Clannad. Most of what I heard were slow, usually sweet or sad songs. To me, it just heightened my viewing experience. The music was placed in just the right scenes so that they would have the best effect on a viewer, and I have to say, I am more than just a little impressed.
Character: 10/10
This is the first series that I believe deserves a 10/10 in the way they portray their characters. When I was watching the anime, it felt like I was actually in it, a part of the story, since so many of the characters seemed familiar to me. If the character didn't have a personality that resembled my own, it usually had a personality that was similar to someone I know well. Thus, it definitely made it seem more real (well, it IS a slice-of-life anime) and made it just all the more enjoyable.
Enjoyment: 10/10
Once again. I absolutely loved it. The intricate story woven in Clannad is both humorous and touching, and will absolutely warm your heart. You will cry and you will laugh with the characters, since their personalities are so realistic that you might just feel that they're all standing just a few feet away from you. Maybe, if you closed your eyes, you'd open them to find yourself in that room with them. Seriously, that's just how amazingly lifelike it is.
If I thought I had watched great animes before, then I clearly have not seen enough. Clannad showed me the true meaning of compassion, love, and the importance of friendship. Touching, heartwarming, and sincere, this anime has easily become my most favorite. If you're looking for a great anime to watch, please, oh please go watch Clannad. I promise, it will be one of the best stories you have ever seen.

In compliance with the suggestions from a friend, I decided to watch Gosick. I had initially passed over this series when I first came upon it, not thinking that it was too special, but boy was I wrong. Gosick weaves an intricate and touching story of Kujo, a foreign exchange student from Japan, and Victorique, the child of an influential person in the government of Saubure. Truthfully, I really did start the series with a pretty low expectation, since I'm not exactly a fan of mystery in general. However, the story and the progression of the plot in Gosick goes far beyond an average mystery
...
story.
Evaluation:
Story: 9/10
As I stated before, Gosick tells of an extremely touching tale of these two students as they face the troubles of Post-World War One Europe. It goes deeper to reveal darker and more intimate parts of the past from various characters, and from there, the motives behind the actions of Victorique's father later on in the series. The anime is not exactly fast paced, but has twists and turns that will leave you breathless, and numerous cliffhangers that will have you on the edge of your seat, begging for the next part of the story.
Art: 8/10
As for the art, I thought it was pretty good. Definitely not the best art I've seen, but it's also more than decent. Vivid colors, along with a mixture of black and white augments some of the scenes beautifully, and the landscape was just simply stunning at points.
Music: 7/10
Here is where I start being a little nit-picky. I'm a real sticker for music, and good music appeals to me just as much as the other aspects of the anime. Yes, I admit that the music was pretty good, but, I don't know, I just felt like there wasn't enough of it. Gosick did have some good music in some scenes, but I would have liked maybe some calming/tranquil music in a few places. Other than that, there really isn't too much else to be critical of. Maybe I'm a tad too harsh here...
Character: 10/10
Just, wow. I loved the characters and the way the anime managed to tell of their pasts and inner feelings. But what really made this anime so good for me was, without a doubt, Victorique. Facial expressions? Priceless. Oh, and the fact that she seems to be one of the few characters who isn't completely ignorant of blatantly obvious facts made it sweeter.
Enjoyment: 10/10
I have to say. I thoroughly enjoyed this anime, with all of its little plot twists and the various mysteries Victorique and Kujo had to solve. As I mentioned above, I'm not a big fan of mysteries, but this is one of the few animes/books/movies that I actually managed to enjoy.
All in all, I thought that Gosick was an amazing piece of work. The depth in which it probes into the past of characters, as well as a clever use of European History was, in my opinion, what made this anime such a masterpiece. There are sad parts to it, but don't worry. It's not exactly sad enough to make you cry, but it should be enough that, at the end, you will have finished watching a dramatic, but heartwarming tale of Kujo and Victorique.

I watched Angel Beats! due to some constant pestering from my friend about how good it was. Needless to say, I eventually gave into his request and watched it. From the summary given on the site where I watched it, I thought it was going to involve a lot of action, revolving around these students fighting against God, but I was in for a huge shock. Yes, there was fighting and action scenes, but they were not what I expected at all. Most of the episodes were quite good and left me wanting more. The two most amazing things in this anime series involves the
...
music and the ending. From listening to the first few notes in the opening, I was instantly hooked. As for the ending, lets just say it was the only one that I've seen so far that actually managed to make me cry.
Story: 8/10
I actually liked the idea of an "afterlife" where people with regrets would go to before passing on, but I have to admit, it seems like it's been used quite a lot. Having a group of students that rebelled against the system, trying to find God was pretty good, not extremely creative, but not that bad either. Overall, I thought the story was presented well, with only a few areas that could have been improved on.
Art: 9/10
Amazing. That's all I can say. I tend to watch animes that look like they contain good artwork, and I just can't stand the ones that have bad art, unless the storyline is the absolute best. Great scenery, and the fight scenes are something else entirely.
Sound: 10/10
As I mentioned before, the music had me instantly hooked. It wasn't that it was something new, it was just enjoyable. To me, the music complemented the storyline very well, with sad, happy, and intense music. I have no complaints in this part of the anime, and I thought it was just perfect in every way.
Character: 8/10
Not that bad, but it did feel like some of the characters were a bit cliche. Yuri looked a LOT like Haruhi, and Otonashi looked like Emiya Shirou. Not really a complaint, but I felt like I was watching characters from another anime sometimes. Development for the characters was okay, nothing too new, but I have to comment on TK. I don't know who came up with the idea of TK, but I would like to applaud him/her on that. His quotes and actions were priceless, and made the anime all the more enjoyable.
Enjoyment: 10/10
Yes, this anime lived up to all the expectations I set for it, and exceeded them by a large degree. I was not expecting an anime with such powerful emotions (well, near the end) in it, and the various effects they added to the fights scenes were really good.
After watching Angel Beats!, it has easily become my most favorite anime series that I've watched so far. Yes, I do realize that I'm relatively new to anime, but with what I saw in Angel Beats!, I think that any other series I watch will have to try pretty hard to match my feelings and reaction to Angel Beats!. Definitely would recommend this series to people!
