Sounds like a solid plan to me, and I can totally relate to your need of a fun daily. I may be a little biased but an MX-5 sounds like it fits the bill pretty perfectly xD If you have any questions regarding them feel free to ask.
Love your new gif additions on your profile, and actual anime wise we share similar tastes too! Obviously we both like Initial D, whats your favourite car from the series? (ignoring the hachi-roku) I did love both the Takahashi brothers' FC and FD RX7s, though the 10 year old inside me also has a soft spot Sudo's EVO III and it's "Misfireingu shistem". And let's not forget the "impact blue" SILEIGHTY....
Ooo awesome, I love a good roadtrip! I have heard alot about those VW meets, and that sounds like a blast. Do you have any big dreams/goals for the Bug?
I have recently done a few, I did a lap of Scotland a couple years back, sticking a tent in the boot of the '5 and going camping in the process. (the car is honestly as practical as you need it to be). And last year I drove to Milan via Belgium and Switzerland hitting all those amazing Alpine roads. I read the other day about a guy in a TVR Chrimera driving from the Arctic Circle to Argentina, and I now have a bucklet list idea of doing something similar one day. Haha, considering the car was designed in the 30's i'll forgive the lack of power :P But 70 is all you need anyway, and with it being air-cooled I am sure it has character. Aww, that sucks :( It's an old car though, and my thinking is i'd rather have a rough working classic than some garage queen i'd be too scared to drive :)
I see those stickers in the back, have you done any roadtrips in it?
Ooo, lovely! I just love classic cars (i just love all cars haha) and I really am impressed by how clean it looks! I adore the Hella lamps too, I am a sucker for them haha. What sized engine in this one? I would love to have a go in a Beetle some day, the skinny tires and RR drivetrain sounds like it would make for a real fun car at any speed. Glad to see it at a car show too :)
Totally agree! And wow, I have never heard about that Europa, just had a little Google and I am in awe. I just love the originality and the sheer dedication to builds like those. It's mad, but that's why it's amazing xD
Totally me too, and I salute you for keeping a classic on the road. Feel free to share an image :) I am a complete fanboy when it comes to anything JDM, from Kei cars to limited edition homologation specials, I just love it all. At the moment I keep dreaming of owning a DC5 Intergra Type R or a S2000, but I am not that rich....
Funnily enough I have a '92 Eunos myself, it's an S-Special so it came with loads of good JDM goodies like Bilstein shocks and BBS alloys to bore people for hours talking about xD
Oh man, the nostalgia! I have came across that before actually, I think I first read about it in Max Power magazine (don't judge), and I just love Smokey's reaction to it all haha. It's is just so odd seeing something like this on UK shores, and yet that somehow makes it even cooler. Am I right in thinking he was one of the more notorious Midnight Club members too? I believe that Supra had Japan's only V12 engine aswell (from the Toyota Century), of course heavily modified on top. Just. So. Much. Awesome.
As you can see, car-talk can keep me chatting for hours so sorry about the wall of text haha
Just browsing around BAC and I came across your profile image. Just needed to mention the Midnight Club has always fascinated me, from the cars they used to just how seriously they took the publics safety. And the fact many of the big Japanese Tuning houses (like R.E. Amemiya) started from members of the club building their own parts is just the icing on the cake.
