Plot 7/10(7.5) Sound 10/10 Art 6/10 Character 7/10 Enjoyment 10/10
Gonna preface by saying this.
If you have not read the manga. You will be confused by the ending of this anime.
Read it yourself or read up on the ending after you watch it. Trust me. It will do you good.
Before I do start however I will say that this anime is not for the faint of heart, its very depressing, sad, bloody and gory, has sex and nudity, drugs and heavy tones. If you do not like any of those things this is not the anime for you. Enjoy.
Plot [7/10] - While the plot is
...
very simple, it has two key problems. There really is no confirmed antagonist and some characters motivations are unknown and never known. Other than that the plot is simple, following our main characters Ryo and Akira. Now thats all I can tell you without spoiling so you are gonna have to take my word on this one.
Sound 10/10 - I was absolutely speechless when I heard the soundtrack to this anime, it is mind blowing how good it is. There are two scenes in this that played either the wrong song as it doesn’t match the tone. While the other scene just plays music when the scene should have been silent. BUT! There is one scene in both episode 9 and 10 which plays no music at all and is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen! I had to pause the episode to go back and watch said scenes over and over again just purely because they were that flipping good!
Art 6/10 - I love the art and the art style, but why is rated so low? The animation during some episodes is VERY subpar, some scenes look beyond silly and broke me from the mood the show created. After reading into why it was like this, I learned that it wasn’t a design choice, apparently Netflix underpaid the animators. If im wrong or read fake news please tell me and I will maybe give another chance to the score but for right now its staying at a 6/10 because of the poor animation in some episodes.
Character 7/10 - I remember watching this with one of my best friends and telling her that I had one major complaint about this anime. That there was no character development. Now we were only on episode 4 when i said this. Literally less than 30 seconds later there was character development. My only problem with the character development was that it was very hamfisted, meaning it was usually only in 1 episode at a time and was a massive info dump. There really is no excuse for info dumps and it’s a very lazy way of writing. Which is why the character score is how it is. Now the development does get way better near the final few episodes but it was a tad bit late to start doing this type of character development. In fact there is one character that is done well and actually has a character arc that spans across the whole anime and that’s Miko. Her character was very well done and actually had a good ending.
Enjoyment 10/10 - I have never had such a wonderful experience in my life, there are plenty of funny moments, plenty of serious moments and plenty of sad moments, but none of them conflict with one another. I had a blast watching the entire season in one sitting. I love this anime to bits, its creative and uses lots of storytelling elements that very observant viewers can piece together. References to religion, subtle foreshadowing, small puzzles that the viewer can put together. I probably missed a ton! But for right now im happy with my one viewing.
Overall Score [8.5/10]
Would I recommend this? HELL YES! This is my 6th favorite anime at the time of writing this review, which is saying a lot! Make sure you watch this in one sitting though! With or without friends, it’s still a good viewing no matter the choice! Anime like this shows me that creators still want to create a compelling story and that anime is still alive and well!
If today is your Birthday, Happy Birthday!
Have a wonderful rest of your day everyone!

Monster Story
Times Rewatched: 3
Each of these 3 VERY different experiences I have with this anime has finally made me come to a conclusion once and for all.
As this was the first in the series it was kind of hard for me to wrap my head around what was happening at first. But after some thought I decided to return to this anime and rewatch it for my first time. After my first time it was very apparent that I had clearly missed the point of a lot of scenes, which prompted me to eventually continue in the series with a newfound light. Said newfound light
...
was better understanding of film, which prompted my second rewatch. While I was watching it for a second time I had realized that I had yet again missed a lot that the show offered. Whether that be subtle audio, or very quick cuts in between shots. But it wasn't until my third viewing that something had struck me. I wouldn't be nearly has harsh or critical about other anime if it wasn't for this one.
[Story] 8/10 - Just like Monogatari's original counterparts by Nisio Isin, it is split into short stories that surround usually around one character at a time. I will yet again let the synopsis do the job of explaining the plot but I will take the job of explaining why the plot is good and why the plot is bad.
Starting off with why it is good. Pacing is fantastic, every story is around 2-5 episodes. Which is not a lot of time to acknowledge and develop a new character or event. Even though this anime kind of restricts itself like this; you never feel like you were left out of something in the story. Each story is unique and wonderful. Some are better than others but that can just be brushed off as preference.
Now onto the bad things. The dialogue is god awful sometimes. Sometimes it feels intentional, which is okay I guess? Tone and mood change constantly, this can be a good and a bad thing. Some may say that it's part of the anime's aesthetic but when compared to things father down the road like Monogatari: Second Season and Owarimonogatari it just seems like a negative thing.
[Art] 9/10 - Each art style is unique and different from anime to anime, but there is something special about this one in particular especially after learning about what year this anime was released in! It's just very polished, while they don't fully flesh out and create other background characters. They instead use words or outlines to represent irrelevant characters which was an interesting choice. The world the characters are in doesn't feel empty due to it's amazingly detailed background and settings. Animation wise it's kind of stiff and pivotal which is not a bad thing. In fact it seems as if it was a design choice. Every character design is unique and interesting, each design also seems to compliment ones attitude but that is something for the character section of this review.
Visual Storytelling. If not for the care and love put into the small yet significant things found in the background or even hidden in plain sight for the viewer to find it might not be as good. This is something that is continued for the rest of the series and plays a massive role in understanding characters, events and well the scenes themselves! The only negative is that it might take you a view rewatches to find them all...
[Sound] 8/10 - But before we get started on character I must give credit where credit is due. The music is fantastic! Usually... Most of the time the anime has great music choice for scenes but there was always at least one per arc that seemed a bit off. Like it didn't add to the tone/mood of the scene but also not breaking the viewers perception of said tone/mood. And if you are involved in the anime meme community you might recognize one of the openings. :)
[Character] 7/10 - Onto the anime's weakest point... Now the character development really doesn't fit well with the short stories, as that is a very short amount of time to give a character an arc than finish it in a few episodes. This would be a lot better if the character arc didn't involve such large changes to the characters. Now don't get me wrong here I think the character development is good, but it could have been better.
[Enjoyment] 10/10 - I usually have fun watching anime whether what im watching is good or bad. But this one I can wholeheartedly say that I loved every single second of watching this. It has always been a joy no matter how many times I watch it. In fact during my third viewing I took a good friend of mine and sat her down to watch the series with me. We had a few laughs but the best parts would include the food for thought moments and the "oh my god..." moments. It was awesome to see her reaction to things while I simultaneously took a deeper look at the anime.
[Overall] 8/10 - For the amount that im praising this you might be wondering why im not rating this a 10 out of 10. Because I believe that there is a very specific line in between 8 and 9 and 9 and 10. All of the stories are interesting and different in their own way. Characters change, and the art and sound is the cherry on top.
Do I recommend this? Yes, but let me tell you that it's not for everyone.
If today is your birthday, Happy Birthday!
Have a wonderful rest of your day everyone!

**THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS**
I have already said that I do not to official reviews of anime that is still currently airing but I had to make an exception to that rule.
But I am horribly confused about how I feel about this anime. There are a lot of great things and a lot of bad things. In fact im actually stuck in the middle with how I feel about this.
[Story] 5/10 - This anime is filled with cliche story developments and filled with equally appalling rich story developments. There are a lot of things that keep me interested, but the pacing for said thing is
...
still a little slow. While the cliche parts seem to be paced quite well. I can't really fault an anime for being cliche but it gets distracting after a while. My favorite scenes happen to not be cliche ones, if only this anime had been like this for it's entirety.
[Art] 10/10 - So far there is one scene that I hated the design of. ONE. And i don't even think it was the animators fault either! There was a scene where they all got out of their Franxx and after a couple of frames the quality just dropped. I even paused and made sure that it wasn't my internet connection. I'm not going to knock points off for something that could just be my fault or the platform in which I watched the episode on. Other than that one thing I think the design of the characters, monsters, the mechs is very well done and the animation is just the icing on the cake!
[Sound] 9/10 - There has been at least 1 scene in every episode where they could have timed the entrance of music to a silent scene better. That's the only thing I have a problem with in the sound department. The music is great the OPs and EDs are good. Nothing amazing but they are good.
[Character] 4/10 - I keep getting the feeling that this want's to be a character driven anime, but it just doesn't live up to those feelings. I love the character development but sometimes they go back on said developments literally the next episode. Or even forget about a character changing event the next episode. I can say that over these last few episodes the development has been getting better and better. But for now im not to happy about it. In fact I actually despise about 4 of the characters, which is about half of the cast. (Go figure right?)
[Enjoyment] 7/10 - Only way I can describe my experience is by comparing it to the most beutiful train in the world almost crashing but stopping 1 millimeter before it does. There are both times that I wish I wasn't watching it and there were times that the anime kept me completely involved. Though I have had more good experiences than bad ones.
[Overall] 5/10 - Im giving this a solid middle rating for the time being as the anime is only at about 17 episodes in at the time of this review. Since the anime has me constantly going in between good and bad it has been a rough time attempting to come to a solid term on my feelings about this. I rarely feel conflicted about what an anime's rating should be but this one is just too hard to decide on right now.
I was told by a lot of people that this anime is really good, but right now I don't see why. Call me ignorant or too dumb to understand the plot but im looking at this from all angles and can't come to a good conclusion!
Do I recommend this? Sure. Give this anime a chance. I can't guarantee anything though.
Verdict: Torn and Confused for all the right and wrong reasons

I'm here to give credit where credit is due.
And... to not give credit where it isn't due.
I believe that some anime have a couple flaws but that doesn't mean it's entirely out of the picture. Examples would be bad Character, Story, Art, Sound, etc.
Some anime like this one, lack in the character and story department but EXCEL in the art and sound department.
Why don't I elaborate a bit more?
[Story] 5/10 - While the anime starts off with a bunch of questions, it really does take its sweet damn time to develop a story worth getting into. In fact it uses a cheap tactic to
...
get the viewer to care more near the end of the series, but said tactic is used in a lot of different anime so I can't be too picky about it.
If you are going to establish stakes or consequences you gave to do it early or the actions and decisions the characters make wont well make a difference.
There are very small moments in this anime where the main character is trying to decide on something at a meeting or attempting to figure out a solution to a problem. These scenes are fantastic! Not only do they show well character! They show his unscene or unread thoughts, which can make a difference in writing a compelling story.
[Art] 10/10 - This is a prime example of giving credit where it is due! The art/animation is amazing. Is it the best thing I've ever seen? No. Not by a long shot, but it's still really good! The creativity in the animators really shows in this anime. Having a very diverse cast of characters, each with their own cute little design and uniqueness to them. Even the side characters who get around 20 seconds of screen time per episode, have a unique design that fits their character.
The animation is really nice too! It's very smooth and rarely choppy.
Backgrounds and scenes are just gorgeous too. Especially when they are the focal point for some scenes!
[Sound] 9/10 - Minus a fairly okay OP the sound design is pretty good. It fits a fantasy world, it fits the amusement park vibe. The music rarely distracted me, in fact there is only one scene that completely took me out of the mood. Other than these minor complaints there really isn't much else to say. Only thing I can think of is that the ED was damn good.
[Character] 5/10 - This goes hand in hand with the story. A lot went wrong here and it's pretty obvious went made it go wrong. The main characters are flat and boring... They rarely even change and at the end of the character arcs it left me feeling empty. Now there is nothing wrong with having a few flat characters but when your main character is flat and so is the supporting lead it makes scenes where their characteristic would help with some comedy or even convey a specific thought or emotion, fall flat on the ground, all bones are broken, hospitalized permanently bad. I don't know if this was on purpose or that they just didn't design characters correctly? It's still a mystery to me.
[Enjoyment] 8/10 - Like most comedies, they don't require an intersting story to be funny. This anime gave me a few laughs and inspired many memes from certain characters having completely different faces than they usually do. I had fun watching it.
Do I recommend this? Yep!
Why? It is a great show to watch with friends, due to it's weirdness and wackiness factor.
[Overall] 7.5/10 - Not a perfect, not a bad, not a great. but just plain good. If you want a comedy anime pick this up! I (95%) guarantee that you'll like it!
If today is your Birthday, Happy Birthday!
Have a wonderful rest of your day everyone!

All of these stories, all of these characters, all of these must come to a end someday.
This anime has quickly shot it's way into my top 5 of all time. (At the time of this review)
It was an emotional ride that kept me thinking constantly, it brought characters stories to a satisfying end. It was a story that kept me going, kept me wanting more. Until the end.
[Story] 9/10 - Like the other counterparts to this series, it has been split up into several arc or parts. Each arc/part focusing on one character at a time with a set cast of said characters. This is
...
not a bad thing, in fact it's the anime's unique way of structuring their story. Making everything in the stories more effective more meaningful. Visual storytelling plays a massive role in this anime, in fact the plot is already hard enough to decrypt but once you do it truly becomes an amazing thing.
[Art] 10/10 - I have always absolutely loved the wonderful eye candy that is this show! It's unique art style makes every character, every background a joy to look at. There is not one scene, not one! That I hated to look at. Every single scene was amazing! While this anime uses a very stiff pivital style of animation most of the time, it really does just fit the tone of the show. Even when character move or are animated fully, it is done with such care, such heart that it looks like they poured their soul into each frame.
[Sound] 10/10 - If you are a film maker or an animator and you want to convey a scene. Watch this anime and learn from it. Every single scene uses a perfect music choice. Even knowing when and when not to use music. This makes some scenes really intense, while in reality it's just two characters talking about something mundane. This anime has no OP and no ED. Which makes room for more story and more character development so it's not really a loss.
[Character] 9/10 - The one reason this is not a 10, is because some of the characters are horribly confusing. Some of them I had to watch scenes over and over again just to notice the visual story telling element that went along with them. Each character is usually developed through something really subtle, this is not a bad thing. In fact if it makes the viewer think about their character, think about their emotions and why they feel that way makes the character just that more lovable.
[Enjoyment] 10/10 - I watched this anime alone and in my opinion, that's the way it should be watched. This is a very psychological anime, making me think, making me rewatch scenes. In my opinion this is a work of art, this is not something that you and a couple of friends throw on to your tv and watch. This is something that you should binge watch in one sitting, this is something that you should be thinking about. I had an absolute blast watching this anime, it has left a major impression on me. I would rewatch certain scenes over and over again purely because they were that good.
[Overall] 9.5/10 - This is so close to being my favorite anime of all time. Truly. But the story wasn't really connected that well and the characters weren't perfect. If MAL would let me rate something with a 9.5 this would be it. I love this anime.
Do I recommend this? YES. If you are a lover of this series like I am. This would be one of the best entries. So please do not dawdle here, go watch this anime, right now.
If today is your Birthday, Happy Birthday!
Have a wonderful rest of your day everyone!

So... after a well deserved break from school and responsibilities, this anime has given me a wonderful afternoon with friends.
Is this anime good? No....
Did I have a good time watching this? By all means yes!
Here's why!
Starting off with-
[Story] 2/10 - Good flipping lord.... there is a plot, somewhere, hidden behind all of the sex jokes and breasts that happen every other scene. I strongly believe that there is a story in almost every anime... this one... I really don't know. Sure it has a story, but what is it? All I understood was "oh we are gonna fight these guys cause why not". Even
...
when the anime did try to explain the plot they did it in one scene that seemed to go by really fast, in fact too fast. The story is most prominent when they take it slow and span the explanation of it over a few episodes, giving the viewer that "Oh so that's whats going on!" moment. This anime does that once... ONCE! And during the last episode!
[Art] 7/10 - My motto is to give credit where credit is due. The art is good, is it great? No. But its not horrible, which is really nice. While most of the art department went into the characters and not really the backgrounds or scenes that said characters are in, it is still well done. Never making me hate looking at the characters. The only thing that is really bad about the animation/design is the characters hair. Rias' Hair looks horrible... The animation during the ED of the show is also atrocious. That's it!
[Sound] 8/10 - While I did not particularly like the OP of the show it did fit well with it. The ED is great and does seem to fit well with the show as well, I have almost no problem with the songs in this anime. BUT. Some scenes could have used a better song choice, the overall sfx of the show is good, there are some scenes that are a bit iffy but I can give it a pass for now.
[Character] 3/10 - They tried, so hard to create unique and interesting characters but it just doesn't work out. There is one character who is posted as a main character but truly acts as the supporting role in most scenes. What was her name again? Asia? Something like that. The blonde nun. Anyway she is the most flat, uninteresting character I have ever seen. Same goes for Koneko, who also has no character, like ffs when Koneko from Nyan~ Neko Sugar Girls has more of a personality than the one from a real anime there is a problem.
[Enjoyment] 9/10 - It was a late night, me and a few friends had an idea. To watch this anime... and golly it was a great night. This anime is so comically exploitable I cant even describe to you how easy it is! We had a mf blast watching this! The best way I can describe watching this is simple: It's like watching a train wreck, its so bad but you just can't look away!
[Overall] 3/10 - Sound and Art cannot carry a show in my opinion, you need a good balance of everything to even garner a good score. I hate yet love this anime, im a straight man, but seeing so many breasts, and having them show up every other scene got tiring, it was shocking and funny at first. Now its old and used up. So tiring that it makes me want to swing the other way.
Do I recommend this? Nope, especially if you are looking for a plot heavy show. Yes, if you are looking for a trashy anime to watch with tired/drunk friends late at night.
Thanks for finishing my review!
If today is your birthday, Happy Birthday!
Have a wonderful rest of your day, everyone!

After deciding to take a break during a large project I thought to myself.
"I need something fresh and funny to watch!"
This is what I found and ob boy is this show good!
Ever wonder what would happen if you intensified making food. This. This is what happens!
[Story] 8/10 - This would have been a perfect ten if it follow one straight storyline, but the show seems to have what I like to call the pokemon effect. Each episode has it's own story and they all link together to create a story. While this is a form of creating a show it is not the best for
...
telling an overall story. A perfect score would barely be suitable if the story was better but it wasn't.
[Art] 10/10 - Good lord, GOOD LORD. I love the art style, it compliments the show so well. Making one object look intense has never been done so well before! I love it to bits! Action packed scenes filled with color, style and personification! The animation is wonderful and pleasing to look as you are in awe from the intensity the show creates!
[Sound] 9/10 - There is not much to say other than the sound is good, there is one scene and once scene only where they played music that did not match the tone at all. That's it!
[Character] 5/10 - Now onto my only real problem with this show. The character development, now this show has a lot of characters and it's hard to balance them all. So over 80% of the characters that are in all the scenes are cast aside as supporting roles. The only character who has a full arc in this season is Megumi, her story was amazing and I loved it. While the other characters stories seemed to be lacking.
[Enjoyment] 10/10 - This is a party show. Get a bunch of friends like I did and have a flipping blast! It's funny, original and keeps your attention going. The intensity can give you chills down your spine as someone flips a piece of meat in a pan. I have never had so much fun watching something in my life.
[Overall] 9/10 - If only the characters development was better! Even though this isn't a perfect score, it is the only show that came close and has quickly become my second favorite anime. Watch this! Please watch it! It is so freaking fun!

Looking back on this, I think to myself.
"How the hell did you even finish this garbage?"
It haunts me even to this day!
A story, so bad that it hurts. Characters that are literally birds placed human bodies. Horrible logic that it makes me thing that these birds placed in humans even have brains. Don't watch this show! Im saying it early! Do NOT watch this!
YES THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS!!!
[Story] 1/10 - This may be the first time I rate something a 1/10. I-Im flabbergasted at how horrible this plot is! Here let me sum it up for you. Guy likes this one girl, they go
...
out. Other girl says it's okay to help him "train" to be better at romantic stuff. Like kissing and banging. Ya know the basic stuff. MC guy instantly thinks he can "train" with other girls now too. He goes on a bangin spree and eventually the two girls find out about each other. Then it ends in the worst way possible. The Girl the MC was originally going out with goes on a murder spree, killing his "trainer" girl and cutting open her stomach to see if she was prego. Then realizes that she isn't, goes "oh well" and cuddles with the MC's dismembered head on a roof. LIKE WHAT?! THE SHOW WASN'T VIOLENT UNTIL THIS POINT?!?!
[Art] 7/10 - Give credit where credit is due. Animations aren't bad, design is pretty good and it doesn't look super ugly. Since this is a bit of an oldy the animation is a bit spotty at times and one or two characters designs are trash.
[Sound] 6/10 - Voice actors felt like they cared at least, music was okay, OP was good, the ED not so much. Music choice was horrible during most of the scenes. Overall wasn't bad wasn't good. MOVING ON!
[Character] 2/10 - This originally was a 1/10 but after some thought I figured "hey this show has one good character development for about two episodes" and bumped it up 1 point. Seriously though, the characters are cookie cutter garbage. Predictable and annoying. Every character feels the same. Not to mention they are all braindead! My younger sister is half your age and has more common sense than these characters! Character choices seem forced and used to push the "story" along. Ignoring all repercussions and logic along the way. MC is guy who wants to bang 24/7 the character. Girls are literal toys in this show. Used as an object to yet again move along the plot!
[Enjoyment] 3/10 - ALL of my enjoyment came from watching this garbage unfold. It was like having a pristine white piece of paper and every episode it gets more and more crushed until it's literally so small that you can eat it. I hated everysing character, every single plot point. But it's like watching something burn or a car accident. It's horrible to watch but you just can't look away. I want to erase this from my memory so badly...
[Overall Score] 2/10 - It's art and sound are fine... not good enough to save this piece of garbage from being burnt to all hell. Im having such a hard time attempting to sum this up...
My head hurts lets finish this...please...
Do I recommend this? NO! Don't watch this! PLEASE DON'T! If you are a sensible person don't be like me and go "How bad can this really be?" I'm trying my best to save people from witnessing such an atrocity! Just, dont watch this!
If today is your Birthday, Happy Birthday!
Have a wonderful rest of your day everyone!

Simple plot, simpler characters, some humor to keep it fresh.
A basic and simple opening to such a mundane show.
[Story] 6/10 - I will let the synopsis do the whole plot thing for me. As it does a better job at explaining the plot. But! Let me tell you about how the story is progressed! This story is paced very wonderfully, it can be followed and it's rarely confusing if not confusing at all. Though the story has one major flaw. The Plot is so boring and simple! I honestly thought that most of the plot if not all of the plot was about characters gaining
...
a relationship. Yes, I know that is a major component of the plot but hear me out. It's alright to have several sub-plots but I would much rather have arguments and interactions be solely about what they are doing. Not about sub-plot stuff 80% of the time. Sure it always ends up leading back to the plot but it shouldn't be the sole focus. This story could have been made better to balance the plot and the sub-plots a bit better.
[Art] 8/10 - Animations are amazing in this show! Everything and Everyone just seem so fluent and the motions feel and look real! It's art style is pretty good too. Nothing amazing of course but it's good! There are very rare occasions that the animation and art look bad. I can think of at least 2 but! I'm not going to explain the scenes as they are spoiler heavy.
[Sound] 7/10 - Everything sounds great, voice actors are great the music is great, both the OP and ED fit the show very well! Why is this a 7/10? Music choice during scenes is mostly garbage... Now don't get me wrong the music isn't bad! It's just when to play music is what is killing the sound section for me. Better music choice during certain scenes would make the show a lot better!
[Character] 4/10 - Cliche characters the show... Every. Single. Character. Is so ungodly simple, that I guessed what the character sounds and acts like just by looking at their character design. Which is where 2/4 of my points in this section are from. Character design is great! They look like they act! Which isn't always bad! I would rather have someone act like they are shy and look like they are shy. Then have said character look like they run 80 marathons a day. There is little character development, and when there is it's a major character change. Which shouldn't happen all in one episode, when you develop a character they have to earn their change. Not have it basically handed to them.
[Enjoyment 8/10 - While for the most part this show is boring, predictable and simple minded. To my surprise, it's quite funny! Some of the character rants are funny, cringy (but in a funny way) and never seem to get dull. Sometime's it feels like this show knows that it's cliche and uses that as a joke in itself. I had a good time while watching this. Though it lost 2 points due to some episodes being boring nonsense.
[Overall Score] 6/10 - While the show is very simple, that is not it's weakness. Boring and mundane characters drag this show down quite heavily. This show is neither good nor bad. A lot of this shows enjoyment really comes from what kind of person you are. If you are looking for a comedy show, check this out. If you are looking for a romantic show. Don't watch this.
Do I recommend this? Eh... This show is definitely not for everyone. If you are like me check this show out. If you are the kind of person that wants a more story heavy show, go somewhere else. This show's story is not heavy and just feels like a sub-plot most of the time.
If today is your Birthday, Happy Birthday!
Have a wonderful rest of your day everyone!

Holy cats, this is not a good show.
This review is apart of very rare type that I do. A 3 Episode Drop Review.
Now as I was unable to fathom or even watch this show to it's end, I might as well tell you why.
Getting this over with is my number one priority.
[Story] 2/10 - How...how...how...this would be a 1/10 if it didn't establish an enemy. The plot is so ungodly simple that it hurts. Honestly the synopsis makes it sound so much better. "Don't judge a book by it's cover" applies to the plot so well. Let's sum up what I gathered from the
...
first 3 episodes.
Episode 1: Monsters attack and Guy gropes girl with consent and it makes her stronger
Epsioed 2: Monsters attack and Guy gropes girl with consent and it makes her stronger
Episode 3: Monsters attack and Guy gropes girl with consent and it makes her stronger
Like really?!
"Why are you criticizing an ecchi show for having now plot?!"
Just because it's ecchi doesn't give it the excuse to have awful story and characters.
Kill La Kill is ecchi and it has a flipping plot!
[Art] 7/10 - I live by a motto "Give credit where credit is due" the art style is nice. Character design is alright, I was more interested in the monster design and the backgrounds than the character design though. It didn't hurt to look at, it wasn't awful. The best thing I can say about it is that it's good. That's it! The animation hurt this score quiet a bit too! It's not always fluent and it seems like all of the animation was dumped, DUMPED! Into the groping scenes. Yet again not a very good choice...
[Sound] 7/10 - Credit where credit is due. The OP and ED didn't make me want to rip my ears off which was nice. The music choices for scenes was pretty good, nothing to write home about though. Movements and voices sound like they should, though it feels as if the voice actors kinda phones in their performance during some scenes.
[Character] 1/10 - I don't think I've seen a show that handles characters this horribly. They introduce literally all of the characters in the first episode. I can sum up the characters right now too.
MC Guy - Yeah Im calling him that, cause none of these characters names mean anything if they are all the same. You can basically call this guy the cliche womanizing black haired ladies man who is OPAF.
Girl with Black Hair - Boobs... that's it.
Girl with Blonde Hair - Boobs... that's it.
Girl with sliver/white Hair - Boobs... that's it.
I cannot fathom! I CANNOT FATHOM! How this was made! There is no character development, no backstory, no nothing! It's so bland that I had to go stare a paint dry to get my blood pumping again. (The paint's color was blue and it was nice)
Physical pain can be felt when watching these characters move or talk. It hurts so much that I had to take breaks to yet again look at the wall that it's paint had already finished drying on. (This wall was also blue!)
[Enjoyment] 2/10 - I remember staring at blobs moving on the screen. Going cross eyed at least 20 times, forcing me to snap back into reality. I hate this show, so much. Boring and unending agonizing pain really hurt.
[Overall Score] 3/10 - All of the score comes from the art and sound, which is sad. No plot, no character, lots of boobs. Ecchi ecchi ecchi, boobs boobs boobs. Good lord, can I be done now? Can I go home now? Please?!
