2020 winter seasonal anime, The Case Files of Jeweler Richard is surprisingly calm. The review will cover why I rated each category as I rated.
The first half of the show was episodic, but I was delighted how some characters came back in later episodes. The second half actually buildup the main plot and fleshed out the characters more.
The art is soft and calming. Seigi and Richard were drawn nicely (Richard specifically). Nothing too special stuck to me. The backgrounds were alright.
The sounds also didn't affect my enjoyment though the voice actor choices were chosen wisely.

Mo Dao Zu Shi has been very fun and that's how I got into donghua.
Wei Ying's moralities are admirable and the music and story are just beautiful. Wei Ying is a character who gets more mature but in harsh conditions. His character and clothes design also needs to be praised. Though his color schemes never change, the style has changed depending on which sect he is residing with. He is also flawed making him more relatable. I'm not crazy about the Wanxian ship, but having them as best friends, I can happily agree. The music is so cool!
