To the near infinite cosmos reaching amount of Little Sister themed animes around this woeful world. I would like to say that this, is extraordinary.

Because who the heck doesn't want a little sister that wants to marry her own blood brother? Hmm?

So let's get down to business on why this anime is worth watching to those siscons out there, and the rest of you little closet perverts around.

First of all, the story is about a this guy's little sister wanting to marry him. Seems easy to solve doesn't it? Just hit her chances down and explain the World Constitutional Law on Marriage to her ... right? Nope. She's hell bent on making him marry her. Best of all she has NO INTENTION of hiding of her Bro Complex whatsoever. So some laughs guaranteed.

Art is as you expected from an anime in the 21st Century. Nothing much to explain here.

The Studio has done a good job on making the characters as appealing as possible. A high-artistrocat, a loli and much much more. Character-wise their actions are accordingly to their aura. In other words, what you think they will do, they will do.

I don't know why, but I really enjoyed watching this anime. I wouldn't mind rewatching this in a succeeding year-time or so. I probably enjoyed this because of the really new (and non cliche too) storyline and I hope for a season two also.

To sum it up. Siscons, Brocons, LoliCons, rejoice! This is an anime worth of your time.

The problem with textbooks when they talk about the Bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki is that they lack description of what really happened. Usually it just says the "bombing which ended the Second World War" but doesn't get more in-depth than that. What I love about Hadashi no Gen is that it shows the bombings to the perspective of a person living there. So you could correlate and feel empathy to each other.

Basically, this movie makes it feel like your own hometown was bombed the atomic blast, what would you feel of that?

From the disastrous air raids before the bombing, to the lone bomber that ... dropped the bomb which ended the war. From the seconds after the appearance of the mushroom clouds, to the broadcasted capitulation of the Empire of Japan, this is a show that truly showed the horrors of the aftermath of the bomb, and how it casted physical, mental and psychological damage to the people living there. There isn't much shows that have these storylines.

The story line revolves around a boy named Gen who, with his family, is surviving current-era-war Japan, with rations low and his pregnant mother sick, things couldn't get any worse, right?

Then came the atomic bomb that killed thousands of people instantaneously upon its detonation. Now they have to survive the aftermath of the blast, and make sure they make it out alive.

The art was fair for an anime that showed during it's time. Nothing special here except for the grotesque visualization of those mutated from the blast, honestly they are more scarier than most jumpscares I've seen to date.

The characters in the film had their own characteristics and were fitting in the storyline and really enhanced the impression that the film had. The producers did a great job in doing that.

I've enjoyed the story from start to end. It may be from my fascination of the War in the Pacific, but I would presume that anybody would enjoy the movie no matter if you are fascinated or not.

To wrap it all up, Hidashi no Gen is one of the shows which is a hidden gem in the pile of coal. If you stumble upon this anime, and you are interested from reading the description alone, then I recommend that you watch this anime because you could learn something from it.

Also impress your history teacher by describing what those mutilated bodies looked like.

I honestly did not know what I was expecting when I first watched this anime. When I started watching the first episode, I found myself listening to a conversation on which has no effect on my life whatsoever, and somehow ended up liking it.

I don't know what makes this anime so prime, if it's because of the comedic-randomness that comes and go every now and then, then this may be one of the gems you could find in the pitch-black coal patch. If you have nothing to do anymore, or just completed watching a sad/scary anime and need some cooldown time, then this is the ... anime for you.

The story line that this anime has is much more of random occurrences than of a a solid story type, since it is a comedic anime, of course. Nonetheless, the director has done a decent job in keeping the momentum on check and at the same time making it amusing, because one of the biggest problems of comedy type animes is that eventually, the joke tires out itself. But with random nonsensical situations and horseplay, the anime never seems to lose the momentum, and still is hilarious the second time around.

The artistic value of the anime is nothing much to report to, other from the fact that it does a great job in emphasizing the cuteness of the characters somehow.

The characters on this anime is what gives this anime its publicity. Konata, Kagami and Tsukasa form the trio of folks that never seem to disappoint in giving you a laugh-dosage whenever they pull off a gag or from simply forgetting to do their homeworks.

After watching the series, I ended up enjoying it, and eventually gave it an almost perfect score because I enjoyed it to such an extent. I would recommend this to anybody who is itching for a laugh or basically has nothing to do.

Welcome to the world where you have a nice little harem with you in it, what would you do? Would you preserve the status quo to maintain it? Or rather choose one girl out of the rest? Or screw it up completely? Unfortunately for little Itou here, he chose the latter one, and hell did he screw up, big time.

Now, notice the lack of the "Comedy" genre that you should be expecting in a school harem.

Let me tell you a few things too, the description here is way too optimistic for this anime. The genre bar is also lacking too. If you're here expecting a ... Happy-Land ending, I am happy to tell you that you're in for a surprise.

Don't mess with emotions, kids.

I stumbled upon in this anime after a friend recommended this to me. He told me it is one of those animes that will end in a pleasing boat ride. I took it in as a metaphor and I could not have been more wrong. The boat ride part was right, but I'm not so sure about the "pleasing" part.

Looking at the description and the genres, I thought it was your average run-in-the-mill harem anime where the Happy-Happy land forms and where the skies of rainbows and sunshine hit the ground.

But as I continued to watch this anime, there was something a bit off. Usually there is the problem-resolve stuff in regular harems where a problem would pop up and the Protagonist will fix it and so forth, but problems here seemed like it wasn't solved—to be exact, it became a much bigger problem instead.

Basically, this guy was pouring gasoline to a stack of wood on which he already threw a lit matchstick to.

I don't even know if you should call this guy a Protagonist, an Anarchist seems to be a better definition of this guy.

The Protagonist is a brute, I found that word very fitting for his character. If you expected clean relationships in this anime like in any other harems, you are not going to like where this one goes. This guy is a polygynic freak and very unsympathetic. Beside him are girls that would do everything after some pathetic smooth-talking from him. This really pissed me off.

The only reason I continued watching this anime is because I had the intuition that this guy was going to meet his demise. I was not disappointed.

This is an anime that truly displays what happens if you bring the human emotions to a very unstable variable.

If you stopped watching this anime mid-way, you don't know what you're missing on.

The last 10 minutes of the last episode had to be the only thing I found amusing so far in the series. A cold-blooded murder from a person he once knew. As a person that likes watching Crime Investigation and such, I felt kind of awkwardly content to what happened. Murder may be illegal and such, but this guy should be an exemption because he the personification of insanity at its essence.

To wrap it up. This is an anime horror disguised as a seemingly innocent show. For those sick of Good Endings. I don't know where else you could find a jewel as shiny as this. If you like animes where things take an unexpected (in this case, VERY unexpected) turn. I would presume that you will like this one.

This was absolutely one of the most astonishing animes I have ever watched. I encourage you to watch this not because of the hyped ending, but to show how emotions and bad decisions can have a disastrous effect not only in the 2D world, but also in real life.
