ye, I agree that sometimes the continuation of a series isn't seamless, with the exception of shonen series like my hero academia, which I am up to date with the manga about but often procrastinate the anime(even though I'm up to date with that too), mostly because I kinda want to forget or at least make the details of it foggy before I watch it, it helps me appreciate the things that I missed when reading it! it such a thrill, I love it!
it was also the first anime I kept up with weekly (aside from assassination classroom s2) it really stuck with me! so much so that i couldn't wait for the second season and just ran to the manga and enjoyed it soo much,
btw this does not mean I believe that manga is an anime substitute, far from it, I appreciate the medium and adore its variety ;D i draw sometimes and used to believe that things without colour were lame and not worth much but manga really opened my eyes at all the super interesting stuff you can do with screen tones, so epic!!
kinda like the first time i read a light novel, i thought id get bored cause to me it was essentially reading anime, but i read a LN I've forgotten the name of(hey this is me from the future spell checking this semi decently and i would like to point out its a kind of dumb light novel that is actually really mediocre but it's about a tsundere girl or something ) but it amazed me how easy it was to imagine all the things being narrated by the mc, all the pictures jut adding flavour know!!!!:D
(hey it's me after spell checking, i basically wrote like a near essay of whatever came 2 my head and it got to long and excited and honestly a bit embarrassing too so i spared u and deleted most of it lol, I'm a joke xD)
((side note would u rather dm??like rather than hang in each other comments, i didn't even notice and am a bit embarrassed now ))
I've never heard of night is short or walk on girl, but I do know tatami galaxy, plan to watch list lol, plan to watch is where my taste goes to die then fester till I decide to give it a chance. maybe I'll read instead of watch the first 2.
I love Monogatari's funky style I don't know if I'd be able to keep my attention on long enough to read through it all without shaft's amazing directing though... Also! did the anime adaptation of zaregoto actually finish the book? if not I wanna see what happened at the end :D
do you think that when you watch an adaptation and then go to continue through the source material that you have to start all over or from here the adaptation stopped??
lastly thanks 4 the last thing u said, i was a bit self conscious abt tht
I've been digging my way through all the monogatari franchise over the past few years , i hit my peak in 2015 lol, i just watched it cause i was to pansy to continue after shiro and kuromonogatari, dont know y zaregoto doesnt get as good a rep as mongatari,(ps Ive continued watching mongatari since though, I'm in the middle of owarimonogatari,) did you as watch in monogatri in chronological order or in airing order(or did you read it??? i've never tried light novel , got any recommendations???)
No problem, and I agree. I just started Zaregoto because of you.
Speaking of gems, I would highly recommend that you watch Houseki no Kuni sometime soon, it's pretty short but sweet. Golden Boy is also a great dirty comedy that's hard to not enjoy. Also, if you haven't seen Samurai Champloo yet, it would be a great addition to your list. The director is the same as Cowboy Bebop's.
