3-gatsu no Lion

On the surface level, Hyouka and 3-gatsu are not very similar. I believe in spite of this that if you enjoy one, you will likely enjoy the other. I think this largely because of how the two series handle character development. Both have cheerful girls drag the MC out of a meager existence. In the case of Hyouka, it's more about a guy learning to enjoy his life to the fullest while 3-gatsu is more about a guy overcoming his past trauma and depression and learning to enjoy his life and career. Both series have character development that is very subtle. That is to say in the moment to moment happenings of each show it's not especially overt but when looking back at a character from the beginning of each series at the end it's painfully obvious how much they've grown. It's also worth noting they both have gorgeous visuals. In the end Hyouka is definitely different from 3-gatsu, being more laid back while 3-gatsu is very dramatic, but they both have heavy similarities in their handling of their main characters and their themes. Those similarities make them each worth watching if you enjoyed the other. And I mean both the main characters have green eyes and shaggy black hair so that's pretty neat.

Chikan Otoko

Both down to earth feel good romances. Chikan Otoko is a bit more humorous but they have a similar appeal and similar sketch-like art style.
