Slice of Life is very similar because of the internal struggles the characters go through. While 3-gatsu was really sad at times, Barakomon was really funny. Both characters being anxious and awkward in their own ways played out. Both had that down to earth vibe that makes you want to watch it over and over again

Very similar down to earth Slice of Life anime. Teaches you a lot of human lessons in a very caring and thoughtful way through the protagonist struggles and how they deal with them. I would currently only recommend watching the original, as the new one is a re-creation of the old, and again it's one of those scenerios where the director wanted to put their own style and flair on how they think the story should of been which means it's not the same and you miss out on somethings for the sake of "modernization" - old is gold.... remember that
