The best part about this manga is the concept, honestly.
I mean, people turning into human eating chickens? Sign me up. The fact I read Fourteen by Kazuo Umezo (1990) also played a big part in it. The MC in that manga was chicken George after all.
Sad to say, other than the premise and very few scenes sprinkled throughout the manga got me interested in the final product.
The art style doesn't lend itself to be able to present horrifying gore.
Neither is the comedy that good in it, especially as the story kinda drags on for too long.

This one-shot is the debut work of Miura, author most well known for his renowned work Berserk (1989).
I mostly recommend this manga for fans of the author Miura (especially Berserk readers). The art style is very detailed, but it simply doesn't look good to me personally. His art has improved a lot over the years and the art in this one-shot was a very good start, especially for his age at the time. The synopsis is what got me to read it.
The story was quite interesting and was developing nicely, but it feels as if the story was meant to be much longer. I don't know it this manga got axed, but it feels that way. I'll discuss this shortly under the spoiler part. Only the main character and his mentor have deeper and interesting characters in my opinion, but that's okay since it focuses on their relationship and the growth of the MC into something beyond what he would have ever expected to be.
