Summertime render is a mix of mystery and shounen-styled action. The former is more predominant in the intro and the latter takes up more and more space especially in the 2nd half of the show. It's worth pointing out since it affects the vibe of the show significantly.

This anime has a little bit for everyone. For those who enjoy both genres and don't mind the story transforming from one genre to the other, it's probably a great show. For those who don't as much, it'll feel like this change made the show lose potential and became a decent/good show only.

There are a few tiny spoiling indications to this review, but I am mostly keeping it at a minimum or as a hint (also, you should be aware that there's mature content, which if you're not expecting it, now you know xd)

The show was kind of a whirlwind. While I can see the appeal, it just felt a bit rushed to me. One second, Akira and Ryou are best friends and are working to uncover the world of demons... Preliminary (11/12 eps)
I have never written a review for any anime, so apologies if this is not perfect. Before I continue however, I just want to say how masterful this show is, and why, in my opinion, is anime of the season.

With a lot of plots in anime, there is most often an end goal, a resolution that can be foreseeable. I am nowhere near someone who is truly experienced with anime, but for the reason that this show is more or so about the journey makes it really interesting.

The difference between the harsher moments and the cheerful moments almost makes the show more real. The characters ...
