Yeah, manga is very gendered, and they usually follow so many tropes that it's so easy to see who the target is, or even the gender of the author :p there are also some manga that I don't understand the tags, like Horimiya is "shounen" cause it's published in a shounen magazine, but to me it's a shoujo story (though a very amazing one). You should read it btw
I also find it kinda funny that most yaoi are written by/to females, and most yuri by/to males haha

Yes, I dislike the slow updates too, there are so many mangas that are bi-monthly or even less, and I keep forgetting the plot :I This manga Yotsubato has been publishing since 2003, I think, and only has less than 90 chapters. bleh
I understand why one would like Citrus, it just wasn't to my taste, but it's super in the beginning of the story still, so I have faith that when they get together next time it'll get progressively better.

Yep, I've already read Uzumaki, it's really good! If you liked the spirals theme, I recommend you to watch the movie Pi. I can't say that it's the most entertaining thing, but it has a very, very interesting monologue. I love the eerie style that scares you through the unsettling feeling, and doesn't rely on jumpscares and such.
I meant which one from the various Ito Junji collections that you've read that you'd recommend, but I guess I'm gonna read this one cause you rated it a bit higher. :)

So.. I read Citrus and I didn't really like it, I don't know why but I felt like their relationship is a little fake? I just kept thinking "girls would never behave like that... probably" so it took me out of it a little, I'm gonna blame it on the weird progression and lack of communication. Buuuut I loved Yuzu, she's SO cute and I love that it's a MC that is different from the innocent, no makeup, black haired stereotype.

Yeah, I'm liking it a bit more so far, although, I do like seeing the fights animated. And nah, haven't read Gintama yet, 7 episodes into the anime though, and I find it pretty nice.
