Well for me, VR is more about going to various places. I can go anywhere I want without ever leaving my home. No packing, no hours-long drives or flights, no expensive hotels, etc like a trip usually requires. xD That's probably how I'll end up using VR. Dunno about others. :3
I don't think you can transfer consciousness to a machine. We don't even fully understand how consciousness works yet. I think at best, you can create a virtual clone of a person, but a clone is not the original person.
Erm, our population levels aren't going down. http://www.worldometers.info/world-population/world-population-by-year/ And even if it is in Japan, what does that have to do with anything...? I still don't want to be immortal. D:
What's wrong with showing it to me on here? :o
If you want career advice, it's best if you talk to your family, friends, and maybe teachers. People that know you better and have more of a stake in your life. Does your school have a career center or advisor? That's a good place to start too. Not some stranger on the internet. :3
Hmm I've heard of Minecraft before but I never actually checked out what it was. Very interesting.
Have you tried out Samsung Gear VR? I thought it was pretty cool. People are already working on building a virtual world. (The more I think about the possibilities of a virtual world, the more fascinated I get. :3 )
How would humans become immortal through technology? I think that's more likely to be achieved with advancements to medicine. :3
(Also, am I the only one that dreads the thought of immortality? :o I can't even imagine why people want to live past 70 or 80, let alone something like 500 years or even longer. )
Yeah I agree. Kids used to play with other kids. Now they just play with their iPads or something. And more and more interactions happen online rather than face-to-face. I spend most of my time in front of my computer because there's very few things to do without it. D:
I've heard about people speculating about robot friends and girl/boy-friends too. And I think it's not all that unlikely. Considering the amount of drama that some people can cause, maybe robots isn't such a bad alternative...
Heck, why not go even further? Forget about the real world altogether, and live in a virtual one. Have you thought about VR? :3
No, I don't use kik, or any instant messager, for that matter.
What a coincidence. This video just popped into my sub box yesterday: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jj4HNW8_YUI xD
Pretty scary to think about. What may be even scarier is when machines can re-program themselves to become smarter. Because that may lead to an endless cycle of machines being smarter -> re-program themselves even better -> even smarter -> ... until it spirals out of control. How will humans react to such a situation? Our puny little human brains won't be able to keep up. :3
What do you mean by technology replacing friends and family? Are you talking about a future where people make friends with robots rather than real people? :o
I like how you put a giant list of things and then said "that's all". :P
Well, I am not a very talkative person irl so I doubt that I could even handle it that well.
I am not a creative person, either. How about you? Do you write stories or even fanfic?
ahh never seen it and yeah thanks i been working on trying to get a much much better setup i went from getho setup to an actual decent one so now gaming is much much easier and i love it
Haha~
I bet everybody has imagined robots taking over the world at some point, but probably not seriously. I'm not actually worried about robots subjugating humanity through brute force. However, I am worried about them overtaking humans in intellect. In the short term, machines will replace low-skill jobs like cashier clerks, which costs people jobs. Further down the line, even high-skill jobs like scientists and engineers can get replaced by machines. Have you thought about that? :o
Yeah, I have a mind-reading device. >:) Nice to meet somebody with similar interests. ^^
What are some cool things you learned on your own? :3
Nah, it's actually my full time job. Though my life can be really hectic during peak periods.
Working is bascially just a way for me to make money haha
yeah so now i am able to reply much sooner since i changed my gaming set up... i now got my pc and ps4 right next to each other so it is much easier to browse while i play and listen to music ;D... so yeah man what are your favorite shows since you started watching anime.

I thought I could at least have a look at your works or something.

Do you upload them online, too? Just wondering what kind of stories do you actually write haha
