This review is not spoiler-free
The music is nice, especially the opening, very catchy. The animation is ok-ish, too. In regards to characters, and story... well, I know that my opinion is not gonna be well received or shared, but I am going to be blatantly honest.
Characters
The characters are quite flat, but as this is just a parody I was not expecting that much character development. Each one serves as a parody of the common archetypes used in other Isekais (the NEET, the loli, etc.), and they take these personalities to the extreme, but also not in a predictable way, which I have to admit

is a nice touch.
Story
I was not enjoying this anime that much - It was, supposedly, a "comedy", but I only smiled slightly at the cabbage situation. I understand that humour is subjective, so perhaps it just was not my type. I have to admit that I was getting slowly fed up with the unnecessary and constant fanservice, but I guess that that kind of things are sadly so institutionalized in the field of anime that I cannot really complain about this one, as it was not as evident as in other similar series. I was going to score it with a five, or so. Until episode nine, which is just gross.
The humour in this episode was not humour, at all. They build a character, Darkness, whose personality is based wholly on being a masochist. Again, not my type of humour, but I understand this is a parody of other Isekais, so I get it. Nevertheless, in this episode, we have a situation in which Darkness is not in control at all, as it is not one of her fantasies, and the so-called humour consists of humiliating this character who is clearly uncomfortable. They could have shown Darkness enjoying it, and the humour would have been there too. They just chose deliberately to make a woman submit when she was clearly not enjoying it (i.e. sexual harassment) and portray that as peak comedy, and well... that's not it. This situation feels forced and for the enjoyment of a certain audience sector. They completely ruined the show for me, even if I was not liking it that much. "You can make humour about anything" - well, even if I do not share this opinion, this situation is unjustified and forced, as if the creators have pushed everything wrong consciously to create a "funny" scene, and they got... that.

After watching Kimi ni Todoke for the first time, I already know that I will watch it again because it now holds a special place in my heart that very little animes have gained.
This review is for both seasons one and two and does contain slight spoilers (I won't go into much detail). I will start with what I consider to be the weaker points.
Art: 6/10
The art is just OK, quite plain and normal. If I hadn't read the manga, perhaps I would have put a better score, but after doing so, I believe that the adaptation was not the best and the manga is

far more beautiful than the animated version.
Sound: 7/10
The voices of the characters fitted them perfectly, not only physically, but also emotionally. As for the music, I quite enjoyed both openings and endings, even though they are not the best out there or nothing that caught my attention. The instrument used was quite repetitive.
Character 10/10
For me, characters are the strongest point of Kimi ni Todoke. If you are looking for unnecessary drama with bad-written, flat villains, then Kimi ni Todoke is definitely not your anime. Kimi ni Todoke tells us the story of Sawako, a lovely, kind-hearted girl who has been misunderstood her whole life, who was determined to be lonely all of her existence because she was already used to it. For me, it is a story of bullying, even though this is not specifically implied at any moment of the anime. A girl that is ignored by everyone because of some rumors, to the point of running away from her when they see her? That's definitely some type of bullying. Anyway, I deeply liked her, perhaps because I felt identified. Sawako presents a well-written, logical character development and, without getting into any spoilers, we see how she slowly becomes more and more open while she gains some confidence when she starts to realize that her, too, can make friends and that there is nothing wrong with her. That is really wholesome and, again, can resonate with a lot of bullying survivors.
As for the rest of the characters, they are highly likable and we can even sympathize with the villain (if we consider Kurumi to be the villain of the story, even though there are not really any villains here). Everyone has their own reasons to act in a certain way, and even if we can or cannot agree with them, there is a logical explanation behind their actions and feelings, which, again, indicates how well-written they are.
Story 10/10, Enjoyment 9/10
The story of Sawako transports us, the viewers, to that complicated, grey time of our lives named adolescence. Sawako, a lonely, misunderstood girl, meets Kazehaya, the popular guy who is always surrounded and admired by people. Quite a cliché plot, you would think if you read this. I thought that too, but I gave it a chance after reading some reviews. And thank god that I did so because that cliché plot was developed beautifully. As I've mentioned above, Sawako experiments a logical evolution that can resonate with anyone that has gone through complicated teen years (who hasn't, really?) but was finally able to be happy and accept who they were, despite being «different», because, in the end, there is nothing wrong with being different or "less normal" than the average. For me, that's the whole point of Kimi ni Todoke. With a little effort, a little love, and a little help, everyone can be happy, to smile, to embrace themselves and the world. With a little help, Sawako was able to finally be herself, to reach Kazehaya and her new-found friends and, last but not least, she was able to reach us, too.
