Greetings SirloinDrop, I saw that you started a few Spring 2017 shows.
At the Anime Guild our main specialization is being a Seasonal Club. We are embarking on a new season.
We do choose the best Opening, Ending, Character and of course Anime of the Season with a Discord Channel and also a Power Ranking Group.
If that seems appealing to you, make sure you participate in our activities for Spring 2017 by joining our club.
I have already sent an invite as well as provide a link to our club ^.^ - http://myanimelist.net/clubs.php?cid=63899

Jerks don't say that they're jerks most of the time. My logic. ^o^
And so far everyone I've met/talked to on mal are all really nice and easy to talk to.

P.S. I'm a teenager in high school! Not that young

Well... I've completed Death Note and Rurouni Kenshin's mangas before watching the anime and I still enjoyed the both of them. Give FMAB a chance, you'll really like it. It's one thing to read something, but it's another watch it and see everything animated.

Well... the first half of the first season of Kuroshitsuji wasn't a perfect adaptation by any means and it does break away from the manga. I usually wouldn't mind something like that, BUT... the way A-1 Pictures handles it is a bit crude and hasty. The first season as a whole is just "good," nothing more and nothing less. If you wanna marathon the first season, go on ahead. It'll make understanding the events of Book of Circus a little easier on you.

Rurouni Kenshin is something I hold near and dear to my heart. Kenshin is just impossible to hate. Yu Yu Hakusho is something I grew up with so of course I'm fond of it. I still say give it a go.

Manga's still on hiatus for D.Gray-man unfortunately. I hope the mangaka gets better and quickly wraps up the series so she can focus on her health.

No prob bruh. Always a pleasure to give recommendations.

Aw... I'm a fan of romantic drama. But then again, I'm the kind of sap that Makoto Shinkai and Mamoru Hasoda make films for. I loved Bleach up until after the first movie. The Soul Society arc was absolutely amazing and the arc that followed afterward wasn't too bad either. The first movie was also some really damn good stuff. But after that... it just got really annoying and repetitive. I was a diehard Narutard from 2006-2009 and the first series is something I still enjoy watching from time to time, but Shippuden just felt like Masashi Kishimoto just gave up and ended up writing bullshit for a quick buck. One Piece on the other hand is just too long for me nowadays and I lack the will to actually power through the manga. Dragon Ball was a great shonen that I happened to like, and I really did love Z for the longest time. But Z was just far too long and it just got stupider and stupider as time went on. There's also the fact that Toei Animation keeps milking the franchise for more money when all the new stuff they release isn't any better than the shit they had before.

I haven't watched the first series, so I can't really say but yeah. I'd go for the 2011 series simply because it has more story. I've always heard of Baccano, but I never bothered to watch it because well... I've got a lot of other stuff I wanna watch. As for Durarara!!, well... I remember watching it on [adult swim] and liking it a lot, but I haven't completed it from end-to-end in quite some time. I think I might give it a re-watch after watching Baccano.

If you really want a list of good shonen series to watch, well... here you go. Watch in any order you please:

Well, I'm 12 episodes in and I can safely say that Hunter Hunter 2011 is... well, it is a shonen. However, it's not the kind of shonen that looks like it has promise only for it to devolve into your archetypal battle-of-the-week/school-based comedy formula. It's actually delivering on its unique concept based on what I can tell.

What I really like about Hunter Hunter is the concept and how it's light in tone, but it's not the kind of light tone that makes you feel like you're watching a childish programme. It's the kind of light tone that has a certain charm to it. I'm also really liking Gon, since he reminds me of kid Goku in Dragon Ball but without all of the extreme stupidity. I mean... Gon is still a bit weak in the head, but he can clearly tell the difference between a man and a woman. The first two episodes were enough to keep me hooked and I haven't felt the need to stop watching other than to go to sleep thus far.

I'd say give it a shot. This IS the brain child of Madhouse and Yoshiro Togashi. Can you really go wrong with an anime studio whose resumé includes shows like Death Note and Hellsing Ultimate adapting Yoshiro Togashi's best-written manga to date? (sorry, Yu Yu Hakusho. You lost a LOT of points with the Dark Tournament and Three Kings arcs) Yoshiro Togashi is like Eiichiro Oda, Hiromu Arakawa, or Katsura Hoshino. They play NO games with their stories and put quite a lot of effort into them unlike... OTHER shonen mangakas (I'm looking at you, Masashi Kishimoto).

Speaking of entertainment value, I'm having a blast watching Hunter Hunter on Netflix right now. Yoshiro Togashi never lost his touch.
