Would it be bad to say that I was introduced to this anime from my friend who thought it was some hentai? No? Oh good. Yosuga no Sora depicts of a set of Fraternal twins moving into their old childhood hang out in the summer. Hidden pasts, family issues, oh and above all, incest. If you were turned down from any of these words, pklease step away.

The way this story unfolds is as if it was an H game. Oh wait, it is an H game. Yosuga no Sora was originally an H game released back in December 2008.
Now, the story is told in arcs, ... like the anime and if you didn't wiki search the episode guide, you would probably be lost because at the end of each arc (noted with a black scene saying fin) it goes back to the events after episode 1, ignoring what has happened in the past arc. This type of story telling has its ups and downs. Its good that you can just watch the first episode and skip to the episode of your favorite girl without worry but this causes a lot of confusion and a few key scenes won't be understood if you haven't seen the last arc.
The bonus segments after each episode are focus more on humor and are less serious.

The animation, as you can tell, looks nothing like the animation from the game. So if you're watching this because you liked the cover art for the game, you will be in for some disappointment.
As for the animation, it seems choppy and sometimes even lazy. A few scenes look as if the characters are dead and apparently no one likes to wear a different cloth style except the ones they've worn since episode 1. Its a bumpy road from wear some scenes seem top notch where others fall flat on their face.'
What really will make your eyes orgasm is how detailed the scenery is. The trees look fantastic and the water looks as if you could drink it. But now and then trees will look horridly grainy and the water will look like pudding.
The bonus segments are animated in a chibi-ish manor and is very cute.

The cast for Yosuga no Sora is quite a handful.
Our main male protagonist is Kasugana Haruka. Out of most male protagonists from other anime, he seems to get the ladies too easy and does it without effort. He has little depth for being the lead and his personality doesn't back him up for it. One thing to touch on him is that most of his interations with the girls in a serious scene are just down weird and comepltely random.
The main heroine of the anime is Kasugano Sora. Her personality is very tsun, like most heroines out there. She gives off a childish personality and goes through the most character change throughout the anime.
The other handful of the heroines are really plain and very similiar in character build up. They all have similar personalities with differences here and there, and all their problems are solved through the same means as the last. The only reason to watch their arcs, excluding Soras's, would be for their looks. for the hentai scene, or out of boredom.
The supporting characters are probably the most unimportant characters you'll see. They will interact with the main cast on few occasions and then disappear for about 2 episodes.

The soundtrack is very melancholic soothing. Enfonius does a great job for the opening and Iwanami Yoshikazu's background music could make you fall asleep. A sad note would be that the same melody for the music is that it repeats the melody a lot and just changes the tempo and instruments. It seems lazy but it works to some degree.

The enjoyment of this anime comes through repetition. Each arc consists of Haruka's interactions between the the chosen girl and the arcs seem to follow the same path. Sora's arc differs alittle only because a girl from a past arc is third wheeling Haruka's romance and that its pure incest. This arc also has the most episodes containing 5 where others contain about 3 to 4.

Overall, this anime is mediocre. Theres better anime like this out there and they won't make you feel dirty after watching it. If your curious about this anime then go ahead and watch it because from my view Sora's arc was actually pretty good. Because for an anime that borders hentai it was fairly decent.
