This is my first anime review.
NOTE: MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS.
"Will you kill someone you love because of love"
That line got me interested in Ga-Rei:Zero and thank god it did. I was hooked within the first 10 minutes. This anime got my attention in the first few minutes, I had barely gotten into the show when it suddenly throws an action scene in my face and it was good!
The first 2 episodes are a bit confusing but after that is a series of flashback episodes which introduces and gives you the background of the characters and of course the relationship between the 2 main characters-
...
Yomi Isayama and Kagura Tsuchimiya.
As the story progresses you see the development in the relation of Yomi and Kagura and i got really attached to both of them. While focusing on the relation of the main characters the show also has a lot of action which gives an additional layer to the story. I felt that it did lack a bit in the art department as i felt that some of the backgrounds were a bit lacking as well as some of the character expressions were a bit lacking in a few scenes. one can make out that there was a lot of work put into the action sequences as they are very well made.
Overall it is a fun anime to watch and i would recommend it. Ga-Rei:Zero is an anime that not only has the action part covered but also develops the emotional aspect and attachment to the main as well as the supporting characters within the viewer.
