On paper, Psychic Detective Yakumo is nothing special. Like the name suggests, it is about a young detective with spritual powers and his female sidekick. What sets this show apart, however, is for 1) the cases (which are intriguing and full of suspense) and 2) the characters (which I've grown to love so much that I started reading the source material). The animation is good across the board, however, there are some episodes where the animation looks great and a few in which the animation looks...not so great. Now when I sead the cases are intriguing and suspenseful, this does not hold true for all
