I'm not gonna write a huge-ass review like everyone else, so I'm gonna keep this REALLY short.

This made me depressed, but in a good way.

Story - I gave the story a 9 because, well, it's gripping, VERY gripping.

Art - Given the year it was released, the artwork in really good. Most of the time, at least.

Sound - I wasn't big on the soundtrack, but the voice acting will still pretty good, as with the sound effects.

... Character - The characters were really in depth and aid the story in immersing you. They're the type of characters you feel for, so to speak.

Enjoyment - The story progressed at a nice pace, and you couldn't predict what was around the next corner, so it certainly is good as a thriller.

If you've taken the time to read this, you most likely are interested. Give it a shot.

Gonna be entirely honest here; if you're impatient, don't watch this. If you're bored, don't watch this. If you're an action junkie, don't watch this.

I found myself hooked in by the summary it had on MAL, and watched it every week while it aired. Things started out a bit like this: "Oh, I finish work at 5pm today, I'll watch Mahou Sensou."

However, that phrase quickly became something along the lines of "Oh, I finish work at 5pm today.... tonight will be boring, nothing good to do." Seriously, this show got so boring the mere thought of it made me feel empty.

Story
-------

Alright, I haven't ... read the manga so I can't say this for sure... but I'm assuming this is an adaptation of the manga? An attempt at it anyway. When I saw the cover art and the summary, the words "action," "death," and "magic" came to mind, as it would. However, when it came down to it, action appeared in maybe... 5-7 episodes? Not to mention it only lasted for a maximum of 6 minutes, if even. On terms of death or loss, anything on that line... I don't actually recall it having occurred even once, excluding minor background characters. So much for a war.... And the magic is the mainstream idea, evasive magic, destruction magic and so on.

Art
----

I didn't find the art too bad, but it wasn't remarkable. I mean, they could've put a bit more into, say, the uniforms, or even the hairstyles; pretty average. Character faces and hairstyle was pretty much by-the-textbook, nothing too adventurous. Still, it's not like it'll make your eyes bleed, it's pretty smooth.

Sound
--------

Eh, soundtrack was pretty average, not quite as catchy as it could be. The voice acting seemed.... lacking something. Emotions perhaps. It wasn't flatline on things like emotions, but it was a little lacking. As for SFX... pretty average, yet again.

Character
-------------

Y'know, some of the characters were actually pretty good, whilst some were lacking. There's something like 4 main characters. One or two of them are pretty interesting and have a bit of depth, the others are kinda empty, y'know, average clingy girl and average delinquent guy, not exactly interesting.

Enjoyment
-------------

As I said above, you sorta get enjoyment for a few episodes, but it quickly wastes away into the sort of dust you get on your desk after you've been on holiday... You know, that dust you immediately sweep onto the floor and never think of again. Pretty harsh, yeah, but this IS a review. :/
