"Its an anime about kids playing basketball, its boring"
YOU HAVE NO IDEA!
I don't know HOW they did it, but they made a simple sport of basketball more intense than most anime FIGHTS I have ever
...
seen. Basketball being more intense than combat, how is it even possible? Well this anime did it. Although there is no combat in this anime, this has a lot of action!
Story - Tall red head Japanese guy comes back from America, joins Japanese school and joins their basketball team. What people didn't know was his rising potential. His goals are to defeat the 5 greatest basketball players in Japanese high school basketball known as the "Generation of Miracles" Long story short, he teams up with their invisible 6th member to take them down as an amazing team duo.
Great story, very unique, very well explained.
Art - Nice art, looks good, very modern. They made the animation look great during plays, sweat, the jumps, the throws, the passes.
Sound - Realistic basket ball noises with a bit of anime extra sound effects.
Characters - We got a bunch of characters with their own unique abilities, generation of miracles all have their own hair color which is a nice look.
Enjoyment - Definitely enjoyable, the more the story progresses the more intense it gets. This anime is doing it right. Outside of a person's dislike for basketball, I see no reason anyone would dislike this anime.
Overall - 9/10

Oh no! Hunter x Hunter ended! It was inevitable, however the manga continues. This is your typical shounen adventure serious with an interesting plot.
What is a hunter? Well simply, hunter is a strong and skilled individual that was good enough to pass the hunter exam and get their hunter license making them part of
the hunter association.
What do hunters do? They do whatever they want! They have very little restrictions and are given tons of credibility. There are different types of hunters:
Blacklist Hunters - Go out catching criminals
Contract Hunters - Hunters hired by businesses to do jobs
Gourmet Hunters - Hunters that go out
...
looking for new and dangerous ingredients
These are just some of the MANY jobs a hunter can do.
The story is about a innocent, happy 13 year old boy who was abandoned by his father as a baby to be a hunter. Unlike most little kids that would cry about it "OH MY FATHER LEFT MEEE" this kid had a different approach "Being a hunter must be an AMAZING thing if he left his own child for it" and he was right, his adventure began with the hunter exam, making friends and having more adventures. His goal for being a hunter? To find his father. Although he has such a simple linear goal, he finds himself stuck in multiple situations where his life is on the line and has to become stronger to survive.
The drawing is nice, kind of cute-ish. The attack effects are nice looking, nothing too significant.
The opening music doesn't change, thats what sucks. The sound is the same but you hear slight word differences but really its the same song through the whole anime.
The characters are varied, we got all types, the idiots, the always happy, the dark, etc.
BIGGEST PROBLEM, way too much narration, the characters don't explain shit, the narrator does, it kinda kicks me out of the mood. I would feel like I'm part of the adventure and then the narrator starts explanations and its really annoying, i mean some of the stuff is obvious but still gotta be explained.
Very enjoyable anime to watch, the more it goes the better it gets, the beginning of the anime is nothing compared to the rest. My favorite was Greed Island ;)

Well to begin, as an idea its great. The characters are great. The story is great. The only problem is what they did. Half the episodes being fillers ruined the enjoyment of the anime.
Story - The story is about a boy named Ichigo Kurasaki who can see ghosts. After being attacked by a demon like creature called a "Hollow", and being saved by a shinigami named Rukia, his life changed. He was swept away in the world of shinigami, becoming one.
Overall the story is great, many would forget how nice it is due to all the fillers, but its pretty good. The manga I know
...
turned to shit but the anime is pretty good up until the end of the Aizen Arc.
Art - Basic modern art. Nothing special, nice to look at, nothing significant.
Sound - If this anime should be known for anything at all, it should be it's music. Personally I love it, its great, it really gets the feelings into. In short, it is "badass".
Character - Very cool main character, got that gangster feel in it, while being the typical "never give up, keep fighting" guy.
Bunch of different side characters, we got the lazy people, the secretly strong people, the overly obedient people, the humor people, the innocent mega virgin characters, and the tomboy characters. So in other words, it got lots of personalities going on in there.
Enjoyment - This is where its bad. It was enjoyable at first, but imagine the main character fighting a very strong antagonist, about 4 slashes in, filler for 20 episodes. Now after the filler, the episode started up again, a reminder of how the fight was going, immediately afterwards, another filler. It's not even subtle filler, its literally a fight happening and suddenly next episode, its as if nothing ever happened. All the enjoyment you had will turn to irritation.
Overall 6/10 - without the fillers, the score would have been better.

Why is this anime so great? Lemme tell you.
Story - Beautiful. If you don't know yet, this is a boxing anime, and no its not just big bald buff men beating the shit out of each other, it is about a wimpy, innocent, bullied kid who falls in love with boxing and goes out to be a boxer. Having no friends, or hobbies, just spends his day helping his mom with her boating business it would only be natural such a weird kid to be bullied. The main character, Ippo, isn't weak, just afraid, he was saved one day by a boxing genius named Takamura
...
and that's where his interest in boxing began, it wasn't merely the interest in boxing, but "What does it mean to be strong?" is how it started. Being trained under an amazing coach, he joins the boxing world making new friends as well as romances. This anime is filled with action, adult humor, and drama.
Art - Art is very nice, especially great in the newer seasons. The drawing is done well, especially in the fighting, the way the air flies around during the movement, the way the sweat explodes, as well as the shininess and detail of the muscles.
Sound - The opening songs are nice, they really know how to get you excited using the music, makes the hands on your arms stand.
Characters - The main character is a typical wimpy character at first, very innocent, but later on he becomes strong while maintaining his innocence making it difficult to not like it. The side characters are very funny and very unique, the anime would not be good without them.
Enjoyment - Starting from the first episode, it is very enjoyable. Watching him improve and fight is great. What really brings the anime together is the comedy, its not childish comedy that you would see in most anime, its hilarious adult like comedy. Very enjoyable.
Overall 8/10

It's like I have no idea what happened, a story with a great idea was displayed far worse than what it could have been. I never read the manga but from what I hear it's far better than the anime. It feels like they rushed the anime yet they waste a whole episode on the makings of coffee while skipping the more relevant and enjoying parts of the manga they could have added.
Story - It's about a wimpy kid struggling to keep his humanity as a ghoul. The main character Kaneki lives in a world where humans are the majority and ghouls survive by eating
...
them. Due to what I would say a lucky turn of events, Kaneki lives his encounter and becomes one of these ghouls. The ending was pretty bad for an ending, but it was the best episode of the season. I can't say more without spoiling it but the ending of it basically changed the whole plot of "Trying to maintain humanity" to "Lets just give in to it". I have no idea if season 2 will come out, but at this rate I hope not, they ruined what it could have been, don't force more.
Art - Art is good modern style, nothing you can really complain about with the art, its well done, the animation is well done as well.
Sound - the opening is pretty good, can't really think of much to say about it, nice to hear but nothing stands out.
Character - The characters aren't anything unique, like many other anime before it, the main character is a complete wimp and the main female of the anime is a cute tomboy girl that picks up his slack.
Enjoyment - It is enjoyable to watch when you have nothing else to do or watch other than this. It does get annoying watching a wimpy character constantly cry in every episode.
Overall - 6/10 - could have been much better.

Lemme say this first, I watched over 100 anime, almost all the main streams and out of all them I gotta say that this right here, One Piece, it the greatest I have watched by far. Here's the review
Story - The author really knows what hes doing. The main character Luffy, is a rubber human after eating the gomu gomu no mi. His goal is to become the Pirate King so he sails out of his small home village to pursue his dream meeting many people on the way, some that become his friends, and some that join his crew. Luffy although stupid, he knows
...
how to tell you everything with just his fist. I don't how the author did it, but the way he makes luffy express certain things in few words and simple actions. Although he is an idiot, hes a genius in the way he is. His entire crew all join with a similar goal in life all linked to luffy's may it be to sail the whole world, make a map of the whole world, or discover what hasn't been discovered. Another thing they do great in this anime is foreshadowing, things from the first few episodes can come around again 500 episodes later. They explain a lot of things, and when you forget about them they bring it back. They constantly hint at the Will of D, Luffy's father, Luffy's brother, as well as what one piece REALLY is, and how everyone is connected to it. This is the only anime that can make me shed tears over and over.600 episodes out and it still hasn't gotten dull, virtually no fillers, and still a bunch of story left to be told. It's a huge world with different species, races, discoveries.
Art - the Art is not the best, it's a unique style and many people hate on it. Unlike a majority of anime that fail to realize that there are many different looking people in the world, and in the world of one piece there are even more different looking people, ugly, deformed, strange, attractive, large, small, they are all drawn in their own way. The author is an artist and can draw bleach like drawing but doesn't, its not like he cant. What I really like about this drawing is the way it can express emotion. If you look at luffy angry, you feel it, you feel the intensity of his angry, its like you wanna punch your screen just as hard you wanna punch the villain in the face.
Sound - The music is good, very pirate like if i were to describe it. Each crew member have their own theme song that match their personality well. They know how to make situations sound good using the music.
Characters - Well developed, all though they look like a happy bunch now but each member has their own dark past, all of them been through a lot and almost all of the back stories will stab you in the heart and make you cry for them. It's because of their past that they have such a respect for luffy, the one that understands them and can bring out their good sides as well as vanquish their bad.
Enjoyment - Very enjoyable, being a beautifully made comedy and action anime it can make you feel the intensity of battle while also making you laugh. It has a lot of drama and sad stories so it's not always all laughs.
Overall - 9/10 The beginning is bad and childish but as the audience got older so does the content, you have to tolerate the first few episodes, they are just introductions, it gets way better. Stable story with a lot left to uncover.

I don't even know where to begin. When I started watching the original Naruto it was great, tons of potential but once it hit shippuuden it didn't just go down hill, it flew down vertically with no stop in sight. It's depressing to see an anime with a lot of potential be destroyed. As it continues it looks like they are trying to squeeze out all the money possible out of this story instead of just ending it. Many people would disagree with me and a majority wont really give arguments other than being a fan boy but anyway here's my review.
Story - Originally the
...
story was supposed to be about a failure ninja who is hated by everyone because of the beast in him. He cries all the time, is extremely annoying to all his peers yet he still blames his beast for being hated. Anyway, the whole plot to this anime is to create bonds, friendships, and get acceptance with the title of "Hokage". In the first part of the Naruto series that's exactly what he worked to do and now with shippuuden everything changes, no more bonds, no more friendship, it's just an anime that resembles some sort of animal trade using tailed beasts. Naruto continues to chase sasuke and even after all the advantages hes born with he continues to not be able to catch him. Theres virtually no training in this anime at all, just free powers given over and over. Villains are just a line of people controlling one another.
Art - Basic, Average, Modern, not unique. Most of the characters all look like they have been drawn using the same template. Just take off naruto's hair and eyes, throw in sasuke's hair and eyes, BOOM flawless.
Sound - The music isn't anything special, usually its an asain man yelling what sounds like "SEA SAW" at you with background music.
Characters - Not unique, very obvious copy of DBZ.
naruto - Easily resembles goku, orange suit, blonde hair, raised by an old guy(hokage), both become monsters with a tail. Only difference is while naruto cried his whole childhood, goku lived alone with innocence.
Sasuke - Very obvious copy of vegeta, from the hair, to the death of his whole race and getting revenge.
Jiraya - Narutos, frog sage, old, perverted teacher, very similar to roshi, goku's turtle sage, old perverted teacher. Even the way naruto received training was similar, both asked for a large breasted hot girl.
Enjoyment - At first it was enjoyable, now it makes you wanna rip your hair out at how ridiculous it is.
Overall - 5/10 - and with good reason.
