I'd give it 9.4 if I could. This is definitely one of the better "detective/investigator" type of anime.

The anime does an amazing job at keeping everything in the story within a boundary of "this could actually be possible in real life. The MC's are chillingly sharp, and keen, and it can be scary sometimes which makes you happy they're "good guys. But the authors do a great job at keeping them human, and vulnerable, and making you want to empathize with what they're going through.

There are some subtle cliches, but it's never over the top. Instead the anime delivers its impact through powerful ... story & character development, and oh boy is it a ride.



I'm really enjoying this so far

8.5/10 for me.

It reminds me of the series "Avatar: The last airbender" in the sense that it's not only about fighting; they also go out of their way to have fun experiences. It's really sad that the anime isn't adding more of those adventures.

When there are fights, the fight scenes well animated, and the characters come up with creative ways to overcome challenges. It's not just "I yell really loudly for a long time, so I can become stronger"


*My favorite thing about the MC, is that Maple doesn't take herself overly seriously. In fact, she doesn't do anything expecting to become OP, ... she's just trying to have fun, while focusing on making herself hard to kill. They come up with cool & creative ways to overcome challenges.

**I'm a huge fan of the latest Dragonball movie, and i'm a sucker for shounen/action anime. However I definitely appreciate creativity & fun, more than outright brute force.

***One thing I want to note: I've only been able to find 14 translated chapters of the manga. The rest i've read from web novels, or i've seen some untranslated copies.

Such an underrated anime. I've watched the series 3 times already.


It's chill, has beautiful art, the people develop a sense of comradery, and friendship... only to quickly learn painful truths of reality, suffer loss, and learn fear firsthand.... Without being over the top like "Goblin Slayer"

They struggled and failed a lot, and they grew & learned a lot together. This anime doesn't hide that or sugarcoat those things. Even still, the anime felt wholesome and fun while still keeping those elements of realism.


They did a stellar job with it, for my taste. This anime kept me at the ... edge of my seat with suspense, and with hope, and quickly grew attached to each character in a different way (even the annoying ones).

This is one of the few genuine isekai anime that I enjoyed. I really hope there's a second season.

For me, this anime is a masterpiece as a PARODY... not as an ecchi anime. (It's more like a *very spicy* but censored hentai documentary, than an ecchi anime)

Disclaimer: This anime is a PARODY of our modern social media, modern social etiquette, and of current anime genres/trends. If you approach it with that mindset, you might enjoy it more.

This has a VERY raw approach to sexuality, on purpose. It's not meant to be watched for "cute ecchi" So if those things make you squeamish or uncomfortable, then you're probably not gonna enjoy it.

However, this is honestly not nearly the worst that i've ... seen in anime that aren't even rated R. And everyone in here is giving consent for their intercourse... Unlike Berserk, or Goblin slayer, which actually popularize rape.


You also probably won't enjoy it, If you have a very "idealistic" or morally aligned view of society. Because it's gonna show you the raw and bitter truth of what our society is like, underneath all the facade.


What this anime does extremely well, is make fun of our current social media apps/dating apps, like tinder, hot or not, facebook, instagram, twitter, pronhub, youtube, gofundme, MyAnimeList (this very website), and even cultural tourism.... where many people are basically getting themselves & their personality/creativity/body rated by thousands of viewers, in order to become successful or accepted or funded... or just to get a date.

It even goes into making fun of how many different cultures see each-other.

This anime is basically a hilarious and entertaining parody of what we've become as a society. For that alone, it's a masterpiece to me.

This isn't meant to be "enjoyed for the hentai/ecchi" but it's not to say that you can't enjoy that part of it either.

9/10 overall for me

I've watched this anime over 5 times already. It's easy to watch, or listen to. The story is very entertaining, and captivating at parts. I definitely developed a slight sense of attachment to the characters, and it was awesome to see how much they grow throughout the series.

What I enjoyed the least, is how annoying Ed seemed at first. But they balanced it out with his brother being the calm one. However they made his personality match pretty well with how people around him treated him, and reacted to him.

He also gets less annoying later on, as they show him ... growing.
