Well, I did say in my update to the review that the story did in fact reign itself in, though I think it was far after chapter 3 (and my initial review was only like 10 or so chapters in). Once the stories started becoming less episodic and more character driven due to the manga's increase in popularity is when I noticed Nagatoro's attitude being reigned back. I understand why things went that way, and I still enjoy the manga for what it is. They are teenagers after all, not adults who really know what they like, so them coming to terms with their feelings makes sense. I wouldn't say I thought Nagatoro was a BDSM manga per say, I just think the original set of chapters were made for people who like D/s dynamics, and why I think so many people were misunderstanding the manga (especially given the original sstory that Nanashi-sensei had made with these characters). Nana to Kaoru for example is a BDSM story.
I'm still reading Nagatoro and enjoy it. And I read the web series CGs if that's what you meant. I do miss the manga's original harder hitting attitude with the characters, but it is what it is :)
