Ok I know that giving a 10/10 to this anime may make me a fanboy but no that isn't the case. Some people also think that oh maybe MAL was wrong for rating this anime so high but it deserves it! Let me tell you: I was once like all of you hating this anime because oh it's start off! Jokes ain't funny, people get bored but actually wait..
STORY
You thought Gintama was a plotless comedy like most other anime, but YOU"RE WRONG. The start was basically introducing characters and telling the relations and how they met, etc. That's a classic anime if you tell me.

Though in each arc, like the Diva arc and Benizakura(idk how to spell lol), a puzzle piece of Gintoki's past is given. Reason why: People sometimes hate when the anime tells them this and that about a character and when an anime shows tooo much about a character, it gets boring! So the puzzles make the anime more fun to watch. Each episode has a purpose which will be revealed later...
Art:
Art was pretty good everything was detailed so I had no problems. It wasn't those wacky drawings that most anime have. Gintama makes it feel really good. But I'm not really concerned with the art.
SOUND: Get out of here! Just get out of here! If you dare look at this, I'll..I'll tell you about how good it is! The sound is awesome, everything is in sync with the moments and the theme songs are usually very catchy with a little exception.
CHARACTER!: Each character has their own story, am I correct or not?? But in here each character even villains have a story and have the power to change. Each character plays a role in the mature comedy of Gintama usually mentioning tes--cl-- and pen** so if you aren't a fond of that type of stuff don't watch it. There are also parodies of various anime such as DBZ, One Piece, Hunter x Hunter, and even Naruto(The ongoing series had one).
Enjoyment: After hearing all of this, I don't need to say anything. Lets say this: the action is realistic, it isn't like those super power anime that you can stare at all day. It shows things that you can actually do in real life which "gets you up"(joke from Gintama)
Overall: After this review if you still don't wanna watch it due to the massive amount of episodes then watch it like this:
Watch the first few episodes for a sense of story and watch arc after arc to reduce the amount of episodes watched and get over any issues of BORING! Thanks and I hope you liked this review of GINTAMA!!! :)
