Introduction
I don't care what people say.. I'm here to make this anime justice! I can't even believe how such great anime gets rated 4 by certain people!
This anime is incredible, and far from generic isekai story, as some people put it. The only generic thing about this anime is probably how overpowered the sword is, sword that that can be considered as the main character of the story (which may probably be a little bit weird for some, ... buy yeah.. it is what it is.. xD)
Storyline/Overview
But anyway, this is not even what matters on this review.. Let's get down to business... I felt myself even forced to ress this abandoned account so I could review this anime! Tensei shitara Ken Deshita is an anime, as aforementioned, FAR from being a generic isekai.. it's okay the sword is overpowered, which is a common cliche on the genre, but the sword tbt is not even the main focus.
Introducing the story, it's basically how this sword became the property of a Blackcat girl named Fran. (truth be told, due to certain hints on the episode, I kinda even doubt her real name is Fran, but anyway, that's not the important point here).
The magical thing about Ken Shitara, is that besides setting a rather unusual plot, where the "main character" is an unanimated object, it also shows a great character development within very few episodes, which is a kind of anime I REALLY appreciate; straight to the point. Of course this sudden growth in personality/etc might feel a little off for some, but it's still great to see that acting on Ken Shitara. The, let's say, real main character, Fran, shows some really exciting growth as the episodes goes by... Hell, she even faces an Upper Demon right off the bat on the first dungeon she sets off to explore.
There's also some spirit of companionship into the anime... most of the characters that are introduced try to support Fran on their own way, and the sword itself is no different. The sword always try to cheer Fran up whenever it feels something is off, and even gradually teaches Fran about all the skills it has.
Furthermore, Fran has some really strong character development during the fight against the Upper Demon. She says she doesn't want to rely blindely in the power of the sword, and wants to try to fight in her own way, without the telekinesis power of the sword and whatsoever; in a world where Blackcats are injusticed to no boundaries, this girl solely wants to be recognized, to become strong and even to be able to protect those around her by her own sheerforce, which to me is a beautiful and magical touch to this anime; another magical touch is how despite carrying an overpowered item, the anime tries to introduce characters, including allies that are on par with the sword's strength, or even beyond that.. It shows that the anime tries to bring REAL challenges to the main characters, even though they're already overpowered as fuck (probably, it's honestly still a real mystery on this anime.. lol, since the fight against the Upper Demon was rather early on the anime and still pretty difficult).
To conclude, I like that.. I like the straight forwardness of this anime and how it actually tries to bring meaningful challenges to the MCs; despite also having a pretty neat comedy and blending several genres together VERY well, not only the adventurous/battle thematics.. xD.. and also, there's this thing of dungeons, which sincerely even brought a somewhat SAO atmosphere to the anime, and also makes room of A SEVERAL WIDETY of themes that still can be approached in future seasons.. hell, this anime already even mentioned about the existence of the Goddess of Chaos so early on the series. This anime is seriously incredible guys, and still has very strong potentials of growing on plot in the future, it's totally worth the shot... This coming from a guy which have been pretty uncheered with animes overall, and I dare say this is probably the greatest anime of the season.. a hidden gem cloaked by the comeback of Bleach and the Premiere of Chainsaw Man.. again, this anime is DEFO worth the try!

It's not the kind of anime where we'll have a lesson to carry for life (though most of the animes actually don't give this kind of feeling to be carried in my opinion), but it's actually a very enjoyable one.


I'm sorry to tell this to all of you fans of the original story, but are you guys blind or something? What we've got from story in the whole 1st season? Bell Crannel defeating a minotaur, Bell Crannel getting one more loli to the harem, Bell Crannel facing some random monsters with the Cheatsgornaut, and a mysterious witch or something like this, that seems to ... be about to give her virginity to him (but never actually revealed), and that's about it.


Meanwhile, in Sword Oratoria, plot already begins to be developed from episode 4 forward. And even though some episodes were weaker, and some stronger than episode 4 itself in the series, it still didn't disappoint me at all, cause by little it can be, every episode from 4 onwards adds something to the plot. And the mystery instigates you to continue watching it. A mysterious Tamer girl, calling Ais by the name of Aria. Who, or what's is Aria, after all? What's the so spoken of mystery that's hidden on Floor 59? These inputs, in my opinion, were things that turned this series far more interesting than Bell's.


I just hope this ending doesn't disappoint me, because running to one episode only with the seemingly many things yet to be explained appears to trigger some kind of let-down feeling inside of me. But even if the end is disappointing, it still won't carry away the exciting feeling I had throughout the series, with the development brought episode by episode after episode 4 (feeling that I didn't have while watching Danmachi 1). Give it a shot, anyways! I bet you won't regret!

EDIT: I've just finished Episode 12 now, and like I was expecting already, it wasn't a clarifying ending, but at least it was somehow concluded, and some details added more trama and mistery to the story. Unfortunately, I believe we will never have a second season following this storyline, which is really sad, 'cause it'd be really fantastic, as more things could be revealed. It wasn't, of course, a fully satisfying ending, but I enjoyed it quite a lot, it had a good final battle, presenting some minor, small flaws here and there, but those yet can't take away the quality to it, so I maintain my 8/10! We gotta analyze that it is a 12-episode running, so it's not like every single detail the story has to give can be transpassed in one single season. Again, I really don't feel like we'll get a second season, which is quite depressing, but to me it was a very well builted and scalated season to the anime, and perhaps the best one so far in 2017.

Not even artwork in the case of Dungeon ni Deai can be a savior fact, as I've already seen animes of 2008 or even less with better artwork. Everything in this anime is simply terrible. The characters' development are mediocre, and you can't even enjoy the series quite well as everything inside it sucks. Perhaps the only good thing is this anime was Bell fighting the minotaur... Nothing else.


By watching Sword Oratoria, I tend to think even more than I already thought before, that Ais Wallestein shoulda been the main protagonist. Seriously, I don't read ... the manga or stuffs like these to see if Bell Crannel's story can actually be far interesting, but if it's, it was poorly adapted. I think the company would have earned more if they started the anime with Wallestein's story, as it is way more explained, and far more developed than this sorryful excuse of anime. I had dropped it long time ago, and I regret myself cotinuing it. I'm sorry if I'm being too harsh, but perhaps even Yosuga no Sora has more story than this, and I'm not even kidding.


If you want to watch something interesting related to this, go watch Dungeon ni Deai: Sword Oratoria. It is supposed to be a side story, showing what was happening to Ais whilst she wasn't near Bell Crannel. But it's far, far more interesting, and the story is way more developed and explained. I never thought I'd been writing about an anime saying it's original content is surpassed by a side story, but in the case of Dungeon ni Deai, it is. Enjoy yourself with it, and not this sorry excuse of anime we have here.

PS: However, even so, Sword Oratoria has some flaws as well. Firstly some unnecessaries yuri scenes, and secondly, it develops well only from episode 04 onwards. But even so, give it a shot! I bet you won't regret.

You know, I'm sorry to say this, but I wonder if people criticizing the Season and saying it wasn't faithful to the LN have actually read Volume 5 & 6, 'cause in my opinion it was a pretty faithful adaptation, just like both of the last seasons.

The aspect the season sins is the visual art and general animation. But overall, it was a pretty faithful adaptation, showing the Games & The Juggernaut Drive awakening, which were the two main points to be shown in this season after all... I ... just think it was really bad imagined, and the animation, as many said, sinned compared to the first two seasons. Even so, the adaptation was faithful nonetheless, in my opinion, so I give it a 8/10!

I was really becoming tedious by the time I watched this series. Having barely finished Season 1, I thought this series was getting really repetitive, but still, I decided to give it a chance... And I ain't regretting it for a lifetime! Seriously, the story development is simply amazing. It's the only series of Jigoku Shoujo that is actually worth in my opinion, because the changes in the characters' personalities are really surprising, besides non-superficial at all.

The plot takes long to develop, but when it does, you simply won't take your eyes ... off the series anymore. I don't remember in which episode it begins to get interesting because it's been a long time I've watched it, but I guess it's from 12 onwards. And you won't regret continuing if you reach there!

The first season, however, proves to be necessary to understand some points of its sequel, mainly about that guy called Hajime Shibata, the journalist investigating Enma.

I give the story aspect a 7/10, because it takes reaaally long to develop. It almost kills you in boredom before finally starting to develop. But when it does, you really won't regret it!

Overall, though, I give it a 9/10. All of it really is amazing, and when the plot begins to develop, it'll really surprise you. Give it a chance, you won't regret it!

Well, I have not much to say about it, but I really wanted to share my opinion towards this Anime.

Kuzu no Honkai undoubtedly is a romance that is not generic, the Story was so much original, and that's what attracted me to the anime. I really felt like dropping it at the beginning, but the more you watch it, the more you want to watch it. It almost feels like classical literature, as it is an enjoyable torture.

However, the rushed climax to the Anime's Story was a real letdown. And I even haven't ... watched the last episode yet, but as many said, the characters' personalities changed too fast, thus making the Story superficial and flawed.

Even so, the anime was still interesting to watch, and if you don't hold emotional grudge towards characters, this anime may be for you. As I said, it MAY be for you, though I guess even those who aren't that much into romantic animes will like this one, as I was one of those myself.

The only letdown on this Anime was, as I mentioned before, the rushed ending. But overall, it's a great anime and very original for the Romance category. It really feels like Classical Literature inside the Anime World. I really liked how they managed to show the human nature inside an anime. Because we are weak exactly as it is shown, perhaps just a little bit exaggerated. But still, we can't stand non-corresponded love, and we're weak beings. We always want someone to be near us, even if we say the opposite to ourselves and our mind is very confusing, and the anime shows all of this very well.

Overall, I give it a 8/10!

EDIT: Just finished last episode, and I conclude even more my last paragraph. It's a Classical Literature inside the Anime World. The pain, the sufferment. Unfortunately, this is what the Human Life is: Confusion, pain, sufferment, elusive loves, in search of something that may not even exist anymore: Real Love.
