To clarify and rectify my Anime and Manga ratings:
My rating process is based on (From most impactful to least impactful):
Notation: Fillers will NOT be counting into any ratings. No matter if good or bad.
1. How much I enjoyed the show (even if it conflicts with the rating of the other aspects this may be the sole factor for a better rating if I enjoyed it enough)
2. Did I enjoy the story? (Includes: Does the story make sense [no plotholes etc])
3. Do I think they could have made something better? (Correlating with but not limited to 2.)
4. Was the ending enjoyable? (As sad as it may be, the ending shapes the show. If the ending is bad the show gets worse ratings [Darling in the FranxX is such an example] because the ending is what you [I] have in your mind as the last impression)
5. Do I like the art style? (Generally not that big of an influence BUT if I can't wrap my head around the art style I simply can't enjoy the show [keep in mind - this aspect is mostly a non-influential factor as it's mostly a neutral, enjoyable art style. Only at times, an anime goes to the extremes of getting worse ratings or better ratings due to art style)
Also to note is that ratings differ significantly in between different genres. A Slice of Life/Comedy Anime does not have the same expectations as an action (SnK-Style) Anime has. Thus Anime can have the same rating and yet shall not be rated/seen as being equally good.
