Before I begin kind of small SPOILER alert ( that is why I marked it as Spoiler warning NO so don't worry), I am not going to talk about specifics but you can get some of idea of the plot, kind of... ( it will not impact your watching experience you will just get little pieces from the story from here and there and will not spoil any of the plot)
So lets start of easy the sound track like in the original is like an 8/10-9/10 at times. Animation has been improved since Naruto so ill give it a 7/10 (that is compared to
...
stuff that madhouse and Ufotable have been making in the same year as it came out and giving it some points because its mass produced and you cant compare a 12-24 ep anime to a 250+ one )
Getting all that out of the way I come to the plot: I have never seen such "random bullshit go" in my life. The whole thing was made out of order, at a certain point Boruto is fighting a god and holding his own 100 eps later he is getting beaten by random pirates of the sea.
I get the feeling this is a full metal alchemist/Full metal alchemist brotherhood thing ( I did not read the Boruto manga only the Naruto one it just gives me that feeling where the anime makers went ape shit like in FMA compared to FMAB)
The whole thing just feels like it was made up as they went, not regarding the power levels of the characters established in Naruto. Main characters like Naruto/Sasuke are treated like some babies just so Boruto gets the spotlight fighting against a GOD ( good thing the anime is about him) but don't give me this if he gets beaten by an NPC looking dude 10 eps later...
Oh and don't get me started on the plot armor of some characters, some characters ( even main ones) get a little cut here and there or hit ( this is by Naruto standards ) and die in 30 sec even with healing... then Sasuke gets hit by 20 steels rods and lives.
Just as a last funny thing is the fact that they have now scientific ninja tools that they never use in plot related fights ( sorry if I missed a part where there where relevant) they are in my opinion just a sorry excuse of scrolls/summons/forbidden jutsu that has been removed to fit with the times they live in. Oh and this accurate for both Boruto and Naruto the random bullshit go that why they can't use their special rasengan....
Sorry this turned out more of a rant than a review but as a conclusion:
It is worth a watch but do SKIP all the fillers as a first pro tip. Do not try to "bring logic into gods house" while watching this anime some times just go whit the flow. It has it emotional moments where you feel the character development. If you are a fan of Naruto i understand why you would you defend this/ really like it, I am a fan too, I just wish they had more time to polish of the story and not have such big plot holes in it. I am sorry to say to me whit the amazing soundtrack, decent animation, good plot ( when it makes sense) I still have to give it a 5/10 because of the "random bullshit go" in the story.
Ps: tbh this is my first review I have no idea what and how to make it nice but I hope it helped some people or somebody found it mildly funny.
