I've always been a fan of the harem genre, all the way back to Love Hina. Though for me it stands between safe for work and not safe for work. I tend to dislike the ones inbetween, where semi nudity is bigger. This cause I like to focus on either my taste for normal romance or the ecchi side of harem.

For me, what devides the Harem genre and is keen to it's enjoyment or not, is two golden rules with different headtopic whether you are a boy or a girl watching the show.

1) Fall in love with the girls (boys)or

Inazuma Eleven.

An anime about a bunch of kids playing soccer. That's the review.... Nah just kidding :p

Inazuma Eleven is an anime about soccer, about growing up, friendship, tough times and for some reason alot of tragedy, I will get back to this.

Here we meet Endou Mamoru, a total soccer "idiot", who never gives up hope, no matter how far he is beat into the ground, the typical shounen hero, like Goku, Naruto etc. I won't give up!

He is a goalkeeper, so his name is almost kinda ironic, since Mamoru means protect, and well that's what a keeper does, he protects the read more

SKET Dance.

Just the title itself say's alot about the anime.

SKET stands for Support, Kindness, Encouragement, Troubleshoot. The second (助団), which instead uses kanji, derives from the verb tasukeru (助ける), meaning to help or save.

So just from the title you can in some sorts understand that this series is about, well.. Helping.

Judged by many as Gintama set in a school life setting, the series have had a tendency of being flooded by "hate war" comments. I agree with the Gintama fans that the series is very similar. But at the same time it really shines on it's own at times.

But if you read more

How to write this as spoiler free as possible. If you haven't seen season 1 yet, don't read this, will probably spoil alot of season 1.

What Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai Next does, is really just speed up the tempo of the series. It's in depth a harem series, but it's also depicting the more sad part about the harem series genre. The fact how the boy in the series, is eventually burdened with being forced to break up his group of friends, to make a choice. Who do he choose?

Do he choose the totally beatiful Kashiwazaki Sena, who brings his family greater read more

Mouretsu Pirates or Bodacious Pirates, is a really well written, well made story based on pirates.

By taking piratedom to space, and glorifying the quests the pirates undertake, instead of tending to the action, violence depertment more than necessary to make it that extra bit exciting.

It's to me more like the tendencies of the Mass Effect games, and the Star Trek franchise in my eyes, in the way that you use most of your time getting to know the characters inside out. It's an emphasis on building story around the characters, and you get emotionally attached to them.

After seeing One Piece take part read more

GJ-bu (Anime) add (All reviews)
Preliminary
Gj-Bu or Gj Club depending on how you prefer the name, is a very true to it's nature type of schooltime/harem series.

You have the typical girls of tsundere, lolicon and other typical anime stereotypical characters, that have been used again and again. But somehow Gj-Bu does it in a very refreshing way to the genre.

They haven't really improved the characters beyond their genre, but they made them less, well, re-used. It's kinda like they took all the over used material, polished it hard, and made it revive like a phoenix.

Because I am really enjoying Gj-bu for all it's already used material, because read more

Wow. Just completely blown away.

There are alot of Fairy Tail lovers out there, as well as people who hate it for being kinda a main stream Shounen Anime.

Fairy Tail the series always had/has the knack for being kinda all in your face with the whole Nakama thing, like we are friends because we say we are, and therefore you shall also think this.

But in Fairy Tail Houou no Miku they really mad a good job, they took the basecore of the friendship trough thick and thin to a whole new level. The whole picture of we are friends because we say we read more
