The Pension Life Vampire fell victim to the harsh condition that is Jump, which is unfortunate, because this series is a very fun and cute series.
The story is pretty good for a short series. Most of the series has short arcs of maybe two or three chapters, excpet the final arc which is a bit longer. These short arcs are fun and generally keep you entertained. The story stays very basic throughout and is nothing standout.
The art is decent, but nothing to write home about. The author clearly knows how to draw good character designs, but the art in surrounding them stays really basic.

The duo behind Food Wars is back and their new series Tenmaku Cinema is nothing like it. This new serialization does not have anything like the food gasms in food wars and it does not need them at all. The series recieved high praise for its amazing art and well thought out story, but this did not translate into succes as the sales were terrible. The seris had to end early after Jump decided to axe the series.

Phantom Seer was a very promising manga, but alas the volume sales and reception were not good enough for Weekly Shounen Jump and the series was axed.
Phantom Seer has very good character designs and the action scenes look very clean aswell. The plot was rather basic as are most exorcist series, but Phantom Seer managed to stick out because of its funny MC and great side characters. The main villain was very interesting and the characters were mostly interesting, but a lot of the characters end up as lackluster and wasted because of the sudden end of the series. Kawada the author of Hinomaru Sumo is back, this time with Martial Master Asumi a series about MMA. Unfortunatly the series did not catch on in Japan, which let to the series being axed and a sudden end to the series. But even with this sudden end the author managed to write a masterfully crafted story.
Martial Master Asumi looks absolutly gorgeous. The art is clean, vivid and makes the characters pop out of the pages. The characters are well written and diverse in personality. The author managed to make all the characters, even if they only appear for one fight have good motivations and ...

MamaYuyu got a lot of attention when it's first chapter was released for it's inventive paneling and great worldbuilding, but it did not manage to keep that hype up and got axed after lackluster sales of volume 1.
MamaYuyu started out really well with a interesting plot, a world with a lot of depth and really fun and interesting characters. It looked like it would be really good. Two on Ice

The infamous axe strikes again and this time it hits Two on Ice. After terrible sales of the first volume it was all but guarenteed. Even with the sudden ending this manga is still quite good.
Of course the ending leaves a lot to be desired, but it manages to give closure to the story without rushing the plot. The characters are really well written and the main charcaters have some nice character growth. The art is sometimes a bit lackluster, but the gorgeous double spreads make up for that.
