...then you might like Steins;Gate add

Death Note and Steins Gate are very close in nature, you got the whacked out kind of genius in both series, and both main characters love playing with fire (figuratively speaking). If you're looking for an anime that has psychological thrills and don't feel like watching all of code geass these are some good options.

If you liked FLCL add

...then you might like Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt add

If i had to decide on just one anime that was similar to FLCL i would definitely say Panty & Stocking. It's not that these two are overly similar in story or possibly even genre, cause there not, but the kind of comedy and how the characters acted in FLCL i found very similar in panty and stocking. And I enjoyed that both were rather short series, short and sweet as they say.

If you liked Boys Be... add

...then you might like Clannad add

Both stories revolve around daily life, I would say Boys be and clannad are most similar in the way that both leads are trying to find their "true self". I would definitely say Boys be... is better than clannad but not as good as the after story, so if you're done after story and you want an anime with the same feel and vibe and what i believe to be equally good story, i would highly recommend boys be....

If you liked Air Master add

...then you might like Hajime no Ippo add

(Recommendation is for air master if you watched hajime no ippo) If you're like me you enjoy a good fighting anime once in awhile and really you're only choices are this History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi, ayane's high kick or baki the grappler, and i couldn't recommend those without a heavy heart. I stopped watching Air master because I didn't believe it good enough to waste my time reading subtitles every so often (found a website that had half subbed and half dubbed every other episode). But if you don't mind reading subs and enjoy a good fighting anime i would definitely recommend it.

...then you might like Claymore add

If you like Dragon ball Z i think you'll find this anime suits your needs, Claymore is more bloody but both have intense fight scenes and constant upgrades with both main characters trying to achieve what is out of reach for low class warriors.

If you liked Gantz add

...then you might like Bus Gamer add

Bus Gamer although only 3 episodes and is not completed reminded me alot of gantz. Both involve players fighting for they're lives, only real differences that come to mind with these two is that in Bus gamer the players choose to be there and can win money. Although it is incomplete it is very much worth watching and at most you'll waste an hour of your life.
