Yours truly is here to write a review about one of your truly's favorite anime this season.
When I first looked at the tags for this anime, I though it looked fairly promising, "Comedy, Ecchi, Romance, School, Seinen." Definitely a stereotypical romantic comedy, right?
Oh boy was I wrong. This was nothing like the stereotypical anime that I was expecting, but I guess I'll just get into the parts of the anime right away.
Story: 8
The story was good in comparison to any average anime, and very good in comparison to other romantic comedies, that are almost 100% slice of life and gag comedy. The premise is interesting
...
in that instead of one main guy and his one dimensional buddy, we have 5 pretty unique guys. First episode features these 5 socially awkward guys in a formerly all-girls' school. Weird stuff happen and they get locked up in a prison that is on school grounds. Umm.... yeah.... Like I said the premise is pretty weird, but very unique. I haven't read the manga that the anime is based off of, but in that respect, I think the anime did a good job in adapting and definitely in making the viewers enjoy (I'll get more into this later).
Art: 6
Let me be clear. If you came here looking for ecchi, you came to the right place. The art could use some getting used to. I personally didn't hate it, but didn't like it too much either. It doesn't have the stereotypical anime girl art to say the least. The backgrounds are very nicely drawn and the character faces are just so side-splittingly hilarious, sometimes I found myself pausing the show just to laugh my head off. Sometimes, I even rewatched certain parts to get more laughs off. I personally didn't like the immense amount of ecchi, especially with certain parts blurred out and whatnot, but it was definitely bearable.
Sound: 8
Oh boy, the sounds were amazing, from the voice actors to the background noises. Especially anything involving the vice president, I pretty much always got some giggles out of that. I thoroughly enjoyed the detail in which the background noises, like how clothes sound like when you move in them, or clothes ripping, or a certain someone pooping their pants... Yeah. I said it.
Character: 7
Like I said before, there are 5 main guys all with unique personalities. Some of them are pretty nasty, I'll have to admit, but all are hilarious in their own aspect. My two favorite main guys were Kiyoshi and Gakuto just because they reached such a great dynamic with each other that whenever they came on screen together, I had to prepare myself. However, despite me singing praises, the characters are somewhat one-dimensional. Sure they do have their moments of brilliance, but overall, you can sorta predict what's going to happen, heck, even the prison guys could predict the actions of the USC members.
Enjoyment: 9
As you could probably guess from my praises on praises above, I really like the show. It truly was a fresh air to the stereotypical romantic comedies out there and ecchis out there. Everything from the art to the sound came in sync with each other to make a super fun, super funny, amazing anime. I haven't watched too many anime from this season, but I think Prison School really stands out in the ecchi and comedy departments.
Thanks for reading my review. I can't really tell how long it's going to be because I'm typing in a super small box, but if it's really long sorry teehee:P.
p.s. If you plan to start watching, look forward to episode 11. It's crazy funny.

Coming into this anime, I had hopes to see something new or at least spectacular. I was, however, disappointed. Strike the Blood was one of those standard harem, action animes, but it was good in many aspects.
Story: 7
Strike the Blood doesn't really have an overarching story line. It is very episodic with every arc ending with the famous phrase, "No senpai, this is our fight!" It is episodic in a sense that each arc doesn't really correlate that well with the other arcs, however, it is not episodic in the sense that each episode is a standalone. Most arcs are 4 episodes long, with a
...
few exceptions. Each arc also ends with the introduction of more girls into our beloved main character's harem, and our MC gets even stronger. There is also the occasional blood sucking... but I'll get into that later.
Art: 8
Strike the Blood's art wasn't the best, but it wasn't bad either. Nice background stuff, the characters looked different, sort of, battle scenes looked cool, but a little repetitive towards the end. Overall good art, but not extraordinary.
Sound: 6
The OPs and the endings were not to my liking... at all. The other sounds were just fine, with one exception. The blood sucking scenes were just too much for me. The girls made an excessive amount of... weird? noises. I hope you guys know what I'm talking about because I'm not going into it any further.
Character: 7
The characters were likeable for the most part. The main character is cool as are the girls in his harem. This anime has most of the archetypes filled as well, including the middle school friend, the tsundere, and the outgoing girl. However, there was little character development for most of the characters, except for, of course, all of the girls developing feelings for the MC.
Enjoyment: 7
This was one of those animes where once the arc starts, you just want to finish it, but then you think to yourself that arcs aren't that long and so you watch another one and this goes on and on and on... Each individual arc is enjoyable, a little predictable but nonetheless enjoyable. Seeing the MC's power level go up through the series in also cool, but he does suffer from the "god-mode syndrome." Where, if he can't beat an antagonist, he powers up and beats him and this cycle repeats forever and ever and ever. It was good humored though and plenty of awkward/embarrassing scenes, as well as the funny scenes.
Overall: 7
This anime is like many, where you have to go in without a plan in mind and just go with the flow. I would recommend this anime is you don't want anything too serious and want to see the same sequence repeated over and over and over again. Barring the bad parts, this anime showed a good harem, with comedy and the occasional action scene.

This anime, in all honesty wasn't the worst anime I've watched... Can't say it was the best by a long shot though. Pretty much, the synopsis does a decent job in setting the mood for what the whole anime is going to be on. "Ichika's busy school life surrounded by girls has begun." Yeah... sums up the whole anime real well.
Story: 4
Wait... there was a story? The story was essentially girls fighting over one guy. However, introducing the girls one at a time was pretty cool... You get to see all kinds of archetypes from the tsundere to the super attached girl to the best
...
girl. Whatever, the story was near nonexistent.
Art: 8
The art was actually good in this. The background was overall well drawn as were the characters. Fighting scenes looked cool and overall a bright style of art that sets the mood for the anime. Cheerful, carefree, and kinda funny.
Sound: 7
The OPs and the endings were all pretty good. They were cheerful music that went well with the anime. Once again, cheerful mood... The other sounds, such as the voices and background music etc., weren't that bad either. They essentially fit what the anime was trying to hit.
Character: 6
Hmmm.... What to say. Well, when the characters are first introduced, I had hope that they would have a little bit more dimension. The characters do all change... into girls obsessed with the main character. The main character does not change at all and remains a blockhead for the whole series. Some characters are hardly explained, which was annoying. However, the introduction to the characters were fine.
Enjoyment: 7
This was one of those animes where you chill and watch for the heck of it. Not really much of a story, traditional bathroom scenes, harem scenes, weird scenes? It's really light-hearted, so it shouldn't be taken too seriously. There were funny scenes which made the experience better though.
Overall: 6
This is one of those animes to could possibly have been good until it took a turn on the harem road and became a flat-out harem anime. It was funny with good art and overall likeable characters, but... no story... at all. I probably wouldn't recommend this unless the person asked for very specific criteria, i.e. mecha, harem. Other than that, there are better anime to watch for mecha, harem, slice of life, action, etc.
Thanks for reading this review! I hoped it gave you insight to what you would be getting yourself into if you started it.

In all honesty, the synopsis didn't leave me with much to expect. However, I decided to give this anime a go and it was overall very good.
Story: 9
The story was great. It was one of those animes that makes you want to keep watching no matter what time it is, whether it be 1 am or 10 pm, you just want to keep watching. The ending of each episode is also very good because it leaves you with a cliff hanger making you want to watch more and more and more...
Art: 8
This art was one of the factors in the show that got me into
...
it. I watched the first episode and the story was one part that interested me but the fact that the art was excellent made me want to watch it that much more. The art is overall very bright colored and cheerful with a lot of detail.
Sound: 7
The sounds weren't spectacular but they were still good. They fit what the producers were trying to get at but nothing too extraordinary.
Character: 8
The characters at first started out a little shady with very little background for each of them. However, the show did give most of the main characters a decent amount of back story other than maybe Tensai and the "girl" next to her... The characters were very enjoyable overall.
Enjoyment: 8
I definitely thought this anime was worth the watch. The story was captivating and the way it was executed was nicely done.
Overall: 8
This was a good anime overall. I just wished that it was longer... The ending was nothing short of an excellent cliff hanger. If you're ever feeling down, watching this anime because it will put you in a good mood, with all the factors like the characters, story, and the art.
