I do actually like this despite the score that I gave it.

A little bit of a story but I volunteer at my local library and I saw this book in the children's section on the shelf at the time I had no clue that they had a manga section for kids and one for YA readers. so I picked up the first three volumes and took them home figuring, "what the heck, it'll keep me busy for an hour or so", and it did. So, to summarize, I didn't pick this out because I thought I'd like it, I picked it out because I hadn't ... read it yet and it was free for me to read.

I'm sure that I would like it a lot more if I was 6 or 7 years old. As a fifteen-year-old, this kind of content doesn't really interest me. but if you happen to be 6-8 years old and are thinking about reading this you should. It is probably much better to you than it is to me

Hellsing ultimate is by far my favorite anime, it's packed to the brim with epic fights and gore. but although it is a stunning show art-wise, what really made me like it was that it is not afraid to kill off main characters, good or bad(I honestly did not expect the captain to die).
I did watch the made for tv one first and was very disappointed in everything except the soundtrack, that is the only thing that I wished they carried over to this show.
overall, Hellsing ultimate gets a 10/10 from me. I know a lot of people find it bland and ... lacking in story and character developent and overall think it's forgettable, but that's the thing, if everybody liked the same stuff anime would just not be the anime we know and love.
