If you can get past the first six minutes, you can get through the whole series. I mean, the first six minutes may seem excrutiating, but think of it as a warning for what you're walking into, but it also doesn't really get much worse than that. If you can get past that (or better yet, enjoy it) and you won't regret it. This story has a pretty deep and involved plotline that I think anyone can appreciate, so if the gore and decapitations don't freak you out too much, give it a try.
