It starts off super slow, but if you can make it past the academy days and reach when Boruto and company become genin then I think you will start to enjoy it. To be honest, it is refreshing to see a new main character who doesn't shout about wanting to be hokage every other sentence. Boruto feels more relatable in today's society since he's just a kid that isn't exactly sure why he wants to be a ninja. Some may say that's a lack of character development, but I think it's better. He doesn't want to be hokage and after watching 700+ episodes of Naruto
