Lover of beautiful things... beautiful artwork / music. I always loved anime and manga ever since I was very young and the love for them followed me to adulthood. I think anime / manga connects everyone and can provide greater entertainment alternatives than from live action. Currently, I have both Hulu and Netflix subscription to enjoy anime on.

Mmm I'll read your review for sure! And maybe I'll make a review on your review! ;P
Anyway, now you've made me curious again about HxH.. I'm tempted to re-watch it from the beginning!
I'm not watching or reading anyting anime/manga related right now.. I've just finished Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann (good shounen).
Right now I'm more concerned about tv series (just finished Bojack Horseman e about to begin Stranger Things on netflix) and books ^^
And what about you? Have you found something else to fill the void left by HxH? ^^
Ahah you're welcome! Always glad to spread my knowledge XD lol
Good! Mine is.. well, I don't remember, but I'll add you :)
Oh yes, it's cool.. if only I could speak or listen English just as well :/ sometimes I feel ashamed that I cant' watch yet a movie in original language without subtitles..
That's the best way to enjoy a book! ;) (and anything else in life)
Yep, most of long-airing anime also have a lot of useless fillers (I'm looking at you, Naruto) but some of them are quite enjoyable, no matter what. HxH is really good and much more mature than it may seems, you're right :) So bad I stopped watchin it but I was scared not by its length, but by the fact it's still unfinished (talking about the manga).. anyway I really should start re-watching it sooner or later ^^
Oh, I see.. it's a pity when an anime (or a movie) has an interesting and endearing concept but it can't deliver it :/ seen too many times with movies I was really looking forward.. -_-
Yeah it's a sonnet written by Shelley and it's also the title of the episode of Breaking Bad where
Hank dies and Walt has to leave his family and run away. It's very fitting as title for that episode since the sonnet's theme is the inevitable decline of all kings/leaders (that is Walt in BB) and their empires..
Ahah I'm quite bad with names too indeed, except for writer's names.. don't know why! ^^
I usually read in my native language tbh, which is italian.. I've just read 3-4 books in English I think.
You signed up for Goodreads too, great! ;) What's your nick there?
I read slowly as well, but it's not necessarily something bad.. it's just that you may like to take the time to picture and imagine the setting and the characters, how they look, how they talk.. ^^
Ahahah if you start watching HxH you're doomed (in a good way) XD
Never heard of ReLife instead! What is it talking about?
That sounds sweet! Do you have a deviantart or something like that? I'd love to see your art!! I've been quite lazy the past week haha, haven't done much but I'm heading off to NYC later this week to meet some family friends so yeah lol. :-)
Breaking Bad is amazing and Brian Cranston was.. woa, phenomal! ^^ Do you remember Ozymandias? The episode in which
Hank died
? I was in awe for ten minutes after it! So good television.
Yeah, Catch-22 definitely deserve it ;)
I confess I've not read much of those two authors.. I've just read Wuthering Heights (but mayve that was Emily Bronte, I always confused the two XD) and Oliver Twist and A Christmas Carol when I was a kid.. ^^'' Which books of them would you reccomend me? :)
Well, don't know, each of them has his own writing style.. Dostoewskij is kinda dark and depressing, but he's very insightful about human psiche.. Gogol has written very good novels, kinda grotesque, like "The Nose" (a man wake up without his nose and go running after it around the city XD).. Bulgakov is my favourite russian author.. you MUST read "The Master and Maragrita", it's amazing! One of my favourite books ever so far ^^ (also Heart of a Dog was very good!)
Salinger has a peculiar writing style, it seems almost a piece of theatre and I like it! The best are probably "The Catcher in the Rye" and "Franny and Zooey".
Orwell is a MUST read.. his books are kinda pessimistic (and even a bit depressing) but are so truthful and well written.. 1984 and Animal Farm are among my favourites ever and I re-read them from time to time..
Dumas and Hugo.. well, their narrative is very flowing and catching! The first one wrote more light-hearted books (like The Three Musketeers) but both of them also wrote more "serious" ones like "The Count of Monte Cristo" and "Les Miserables".. I couldn't stop reading them!
About Pennac you should try La Fée Carabine or some other book of his saga Malaussène.. they're full of funny, disfunctional and weird characters! ^^ If you like dogs you could also read Cabot Caboche, which is a child book of his with a dog as the MC!
I wanted to subscribe to Crunchy roll too, but I always procrastinated.. don't konw why! XD
Yeah but it's one my favourite series all time! I simply loved it ^^ The only one who come close to it would be Breaking Bad (great series too!).
I've just finished Catch-22, by Heller, and I loved it! It's set during WWII and it talks about a bombardier squadron with a lot of crazy and disfunctional characters. It's both grotesque and funny, specially at the beginning, but also melancholic and deep. It's a fierce criticism of the war.
Now I'm reading Slaughterous Five (WWII again) and, occasionally, a novel of Bukowski and The Prophet, by Gibran ^^
Anyway I like Russians, American/English and French author the most, like Bulgakov, Gogol, Dostoevskij, Salinger, Orwell, Dumas, Hugo, Pennac.. ^^
Which are your favourites one?
Everybody wants to be a Gryffindor!
Well, yes, it's a good website, where you can get new ideas about new books to read.. somewhat like MAL but for books!
Ahah I know the feeling, for me it's the same when I finish a good book or a good anime/tv series.. I remember I felt empty for days after the last episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.. I missed the characters so much! TT_TT
I love reading too! Both classics and moderns ^^ I've just bought three other new books today.. indeed I buy more books than I can read, but I never leran XD
Is it Gone with the Wind good so far? I've not read it yet :)
Yeee, another Potterhead on MAL! I grew up with Harry Potter and I've read the books at least 5-6 times each.. I know, I'm crazy XD
I've even signed to Pottermore, Rowling's official website, but I was sorted into Hufflepuff.. -_-
I'm currently at the beach with some friends right now! Man, Florida sounds awesome I've always wanted to visit it but never have had the opportunity lol. Glad you're enjoying Hunter x Hunter!
Oh I've watched HxH too for a while, but then I've heard that the story was never ending.. a bit like One Piece or the 4th Rebuild of NGE.. but I should restart to watch it, I remember it was good!
Hmm, I'll definitely look into Hunter x Hunter then! I recently completed Yona of the Dawn, it has kind of a cheesy plot but good character development for the main character. And currently I've just started watching Steins;Gate!
xD Avatarception!
I recently finished the show, I loved it! Yeah, it's a shame it's not on MAL xD. I'd rate it a 9 or 10. There needs to be a MyCartoonList.net heh
Iroh's one of my favourite characters. :D
I see you have a Paprika profile picture; I love the soundtrack from the movie (Susumu Hirasawa is awesome) but I've not actually seen the movie itself. xD
Wow nice video! I had not noticed the blink thing! o_o
I definitely have to rewatch the whole movie (I was just waiting for an excuse XD)
And yes, I noticed how Matrix was heavily influenced by Gits :) (though the last two movies weren't as good as the first one -_-)
Yes, I want my personal sakura tree to lie beneath it during spring days (like in the anime ^^)
