I enjoy watching anime, movies, playing basketball and piano. Comic books and manga are the only thing I read besides textbooks. My favorite animal is the cheetah.
Thanks for the compliment. K-ON isn't for everyone, so just be warned! It's one of the most contentious series to be made in a long time. The people who love it are vast, but so too are the ones who hate it.
Fun? What's fun? Never heard of that word. LOL jk. I'm here in front of my computer the whole day, watching animes, talking to friends who are also jobless and whatever there is to do online. Wow, I just realized how boring my life is since I graduated lol. I'm not sure how expensive education is at your place but don't you guys have student loans or something that you can use? Or why not take a scholarship? Yeah, singing/performing in front of a crowd is really frightening. I never really like it when people's eyes are on me. It feels like a bunch of zombies are gonna eat me alive lol. hehe it's quite easy to determine if a person's one of your kind eh?
ehehe any job that has something to do with computers I guess. I'm an IT grad, and because I'm lazy office job probably best fits for me hehe. LOL hope that won't get you into trouble haha. well, this is your last year so only a few more months and you're free to practice basketball hehe. and you probably just need some practice and you'll improve your singing hehe. well lately filipinos look more asian than western (unlike before where most people look spanish and all) so you'll probably stand out. but some people have this uncanny ability and can tell if you have filipino blood. funny but weird haha but I've met people like that.
Yep ehehe I'm getting a few calls from different companies and being scheduled for interviews for the next few days, I just hope everything turns out well. LOL terrorize your own city? Good luck with that haha jk XD and good luck to your cousin too. I hope I'd be able to see him playing in the court soon :D and when you get here you could help him on his training hehe (c'mon I know you're good at it XD) Bass and drums are cool :D I like the sound of bass but bassists don't get that much attention ): btw you seem to know a lot about the philippines. cool XD
ehehe I graduated last october and currently unemployed lol I feel like taking some more time to relax but I need to make money asap before my budget runs out XD. LOL that will get you into trouble and you might end up in jail. You'll never like the jails here XP (who like jails anyway) though I've never been in one. Wow I envy you D: the only way I could produce music is by tapping my hands on my desk... and it's not even really music. good luck with learning the guitar :D
Haha that's kinda twisted but I get it XD So basically you're half. Cool. Good luck with your last year! Wait, are you in college now? Hope you get the break you deserve so you can rest and come here :) Amazing your cousin made it to U.P.! I took the entrance exam there some years ago and wow my brain melted. Haha facial hair rocks! XD As long as you don't look like a burglar or something I think she'll be fine with you lol. What instruments do you play btw?
haha cool I wonder what kind of lyrics you would write haha and next you have to wear that moon mask too XD I'm from Philippines and english isn't my native tongue so sorry if my grammar sucks :( but unlike me most people here can speak your language well. yep that's how strict they are when it comes to hygiene, but in college it depends on the school, so we can do whatever we want with ourselves XD even dye our hair with rainbow colors and they won't complain hahahaha XD where's UBC?
LOL you'll behave like hoshi then you'll write eccentric lyrics too? haha that would be fun XD Yep hehe they look really feminine. I'm not sure but if I could I'd show a photo of at least one of them and then you judge hehe XD A lot of college boys here grow their hair because in most high schools they have this haircut policy for boys. Lucky for us girls they don't limit the length of our hair hehehe. Hmmm school's probably more hectic there than here in my country :/
Nino is really one of a kind and I really like her too but for some reason I gradually get attracted to Maria XD. Hehe cool are you blonde too? I have guy friends who grow their hair long too but for different reasons. Although two of them look... errr... traps :P Hehe doesn't matter as long as it's what you like and you're not hurting anyone, right? :D
I hope that my activities on MAL continue to entertain! Though I don't think I'd call myself a "celebrity" in any regards, I'm actually pretty low-key these days.
First i want to say sorry for such a late reply but i was busy with school work this week and although i´ve managed to see some anime episodes, there were other things i couldn´t do, and probably more important, like answering your comment.
Oh you´re studying psychology, cool i really liked that subject when i was on high school, although my teacher was complete crap, the works of the human mind are really the most fascinating thing. Although i´ve already forgotten some things i´ve learned, it really is something that fascinates me and will continue to. Dude, just to know, you have here a willing listener to your studies, if you wanna talk about it, you already know _D.
Ah, taking a walk through the fields (there are lots of them where i live) with an mp3 and awesome music on your ears and penetrating through your brain, watching the landscape change as you walk and the music works it´s way through you, honestly nothing can beat that feeling, it´s like experiencing the ultimate feeling of freedom. _D DREAMERS FTW!
Yeah, i think people should pursue their dreams, at least that´s what i am doing, and hopefully will end up doing what i love which is movies, making them _D.
This may seem like an odd choice, but my favourite director, or at least the one who´s style, direction and with the stories that are more influential to me (except "The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button"), is David Fincher. Besides the fact of having directed two of my favourite movies of all time "Fight Club" and "Se7en", well, there´s something in his movies that´s utterly compelling when i´m watching them. Also, i think he is one of the very few directors who can really tell a cohesive story just with the camera, and that for a striving director i think it´s everything.
Of course i have lots and lots of directors i love, most of them from 70´s up to nowadays, i´m not a big fan of old movies, except samurai and spaghetti western movies, and of course the myriad of exploitation movies around which we already tackled it on the other conversation.
Well, usually my top ten list of favourite movies is this one (although, i think that this is ultimately vague, i never resist to elaborate lists of "tops" when the opportunity comes _D ) :
1 - Oldboy, Park Chan Wook
2 - Fight Club, David Fincher
3 - The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, Sergio Leone
4 - Requiem For A Dream, Darren Aronofski
5 - Akira, Katsuhiro Otomo
6 - Paprika, Satoshi Kon
7 - Hana-Bi, Takeshi Kitano
8 - Night Of The Living Dead, George Romero
9 - Videodrome, David Cronenberg
10 - Martyrs, Pascal Laugier
"Martyrs" is a french horror movie, from 2008, so it´s a really new one, but it was, until today, the only movie, along with "Oldboy", that really left me catatonic after seeing it. Literaly i was feeling like i was in a coma, there was only one other event in my life that left me feeling as bad and desperate as this feeling left me, literally like wanting to kill everyone on this planet. I think about this movie everyday, and i truly don´t know if that is a good thing. Actually i read a couple of days ago, an interview with the director of the movie Pascal Laugier, on the magazine "Rue De Morgue" where he said this sentence: "I think that nowadays, given the state of things in this world, just the idea of making a feel good movie is completely disgusting in my opinion". This just goes to show, how fucking far this guy went with the movie. Ah, he´s the guy in charge of directing the remake of "Hellraiser", wonder what he´s going to do with it. _D
Yeah, having this kind of friends, you really feel like that everything is possible in this world. And you, do you really have really close friends, or things are different in Canada?
Yeah, people can get really touchy when talking about polemic topics, but i don´t know i think that my discussion oriented persona almost always leads to that kind of conversations, which is always better than trivial ones, people usually end up knowing more and more grown up when coming out of those coversations, so for me that´s a good thing _D.
I didn´t fully understand your question, cause i think it was directed to the subject of music, when i was talking about it, or was it directed to art in general?
My rating system is extremely similar to yours, i mean i don´t have any problems at all to give 8, 9 or 10 when i find an anime to be extremely good, what´s the problem? I mean, when something is extremely good, it should be recognised and appreciated as it doesn´t it?
I´ve read and heard all kinds of good things about "Master Of The Flying Guillotine" but i haven´t came around to watch it yet, which makes me sad.
My favourite martial arts movie of all time, actually is an weapon martial arts movie, is the groundbreaking "The Blade" directed by the madman Tsui Hark. I love the guy, i never seen anybody breaking so many rules when it comes to cinematic grammar and getting away with it as him.
Defenetly we all have an sick and dark side in us, after all that´s why people murder other people right? _D, but we got to admit that most of the times the dark side is much more compelling that the light side, right?
