Haha no problem ^^

Yeah I know what you mean, at some point in life other things come up that also take up time. I still enjoy gaming a lot, but I also don't game as much as I did a couple of years ago. I remember one of summervaction I woke up at 3/4 in the afternoon and then started gaming/watching things till 6/7 in the morning and then go sleeping. Not really a big one, but I still do something get together with family to play Age of Empires II remaster together.

I see nice, what convention are you going to? I've never been to one, I would love to go, but I don't know anyone that loves anime in real-life and I don't really like the idea of going alone. >w<

It sounds a lot like Highschool of the Dead.

Haha well I never watch anything dubbed, original is always better in my opinion. I must admit I think the Japanse are really good voice-actors, it all sounds very professional and good, well atleast in the normal animes.
Well there is a big difference between "I love you" and "I like you", well just don't watch anime on Netflix I would say, they probably are much more sensitive and censor a lot more.

I see, good luck, I still have 3 weeks, this one included. Well for me the first half year consist of a full-time internship. I do look forward to it even though I will take some time to get used to working full-time and now having school. ^^

Yeah I had a real nice vacation, we went camping in South-France by a lake. I spend lots of time swimming and relaxing. ^^

I think it's a pretty good game based on the movie. It's also not that expensieve on PC of you buy it during a sale. I bought the whole collection for about €11 on a steam sale.

Yeah that was a real interesting twist.

Well to each it own hobby :).
Gaming, you?

Well it's hard to explain without spoiling much, but lets say some question get answered and there a some really good twists etc. I really liked it ever since the first season, but I get what you mean. I also took longer to watch Season 3, because you need to get back into the universe. It's currently the highest rated anime of all time, together with Steins;gate :o

I see, school-life doesn't look bad, but I'm not such a huge fan om zombie stories. Most often zombie anime's lack something in my eyes. I heard Netflix made some really bad changes, is that true? I would also watch the original if I would re-watch it.

Started Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei yesteday. It's not really a typical anime I would watch, but I decided to give it a try. It's about the future where there a magic users in the world. So for it's pretty good, noting really special, but solid. ^^
If you look for something to watch you could continue Attack on Titan :)
EmilioX Aug 3, 2019 1:15 PM
Sorry took so long to respond, was on vacation ^^

Yupp the first Alien movie was very good, the game Alien Isolation was also good for the same reason. It build up lots of tension before a showdown.

Yeah I agree it was very interesting to see an anime with Magical Madoka in the name and Madoka almost not becoming magical at all. I don't really mind crybabies, I've seen far worse as Madoka.

Yeah I guessed, but who doesn't like something Kawaii once in a while. ^^
For me it's the same, I also have a very large range of things I like. If I focus on one thing to long I lose intrest, that's why I've been a bit holding back on longer anime's, I fear I'll lose intrest. I like horror but can also enjoy ecchi, kawaii etc..

Haha not sure how long that will take, but if you do let me know ;)

I've been on vacation so not much, but I did finish season 3 of Attack on Titan before I left, really really good season, the anime just keeps getting better in my eyes.

What have you been watching this week? :)
EmilioX Jul 25, 2019 4:47 PM
Exactly a jumpscare has a 1 second impact, while a good build-up and such last much longer. I rather have a story where not to much happens and in the end not know what the threat even was, than some animated monster, for some reason they can't really make them scary for me. The unknown is more scary then the know as to speak.

I really liked Mami in the anime as well, but that was mostly because her fighting style was so awesome in my eyes. She had the coolest style of them all, even though I liked Madoka's one as well. I find both the anime and movie very interesting.

Haha yeah Bebe is very cute indeed, the movie has been a while ago for me so I'm not really remembering what role she played for the most part, I only remember her in the 'beast' for mostly. She didn't really made that much off an impact to me as to you. Well I see one of the reasons you like Lucky Star so much ^^

Yeah that sounds like the best option, time spend with the ones you love are worth more than all the money in the world and like you said time enough to work later on.

Ignore the hype, it's not the masterpiece the hype makes it to be (atleast in my eyes). Maybe you don't even like it, maybe you don't like the characters or so, but even so by talking to you I think you atleast find the whole idea and story interesting, well maybe I'm wrong who knows. It's just a suggestion in the end ^^
EmilioX Jul 23, 2019 5:45 AM
I'm no so into hack and slash movies, but I do love the tension It builds. I really like the Blair Witch project, a movie many people find boring. I really like the fact that not to much happens, but it's build tension. A lot of times horror movies are more aimed at scaring people trough cheap jumpscares that you can see coming from miles away if you watch a lot of horror movies. I really like movie/games that build more tension, instead of going for the scare.

I see I had similar experiences with anime that people hyped much, hype is not really a good thing. If people hype things you'll have such high expectations that can indeed ruin you experience a bit. I had the same experience with Angle Beats, people where so positieve about it calling it superb and it was good, but I can't help but think the hype people around me build had a negative effect on my viewing experience. Well Madoka is dark in my eyes, but I think it also depends on your definition of dark. And call me a girl because I like the drama XD

I'm happy that you still enjoyed it in the end, I mean even with the high expectations you had. I would say rebellion is a interesting prequel, that is worth watching. I wont say anything anymore, if you watch it let me know your thoughts ;)
https://myanimelist.net/anime/11981/Mahou_Shoujo_Madoka%E2%98%85Magica_Movie_3__Hangyaku_no_Monogatari?q=madoka

That might not be a bad of an option, are payed internships a thing where you life?

Luckily each time something bad happens there are always a lot of people that show that there is still hope for humanity. I think you might like Death Note, it wont hype it to much, but it definitely gave me something to think about.

Yeah lets hope they rise from their ashes and become even stronger. (no pun intended)
EmilioX Jul 21, 2019 2:27 PM
I think I've only seen the 1974 one, I've seen it a long time ago, so I'm not sure, but I though I didn't really liked it to much. Well it was a bit creepy especially since I could happen in real life as well.

I will, well lets just discuss it after you seen it whole ;)

Yupp so much fun.

I receive the on from Juli somewhere half August and the one from August somewhere half september. So I still have to wait a bit for my paycheck. I don't really need to money, it's more saving the get trough the year. 2 weeks is indeed very short, it's not really long enough to see if you really enjoy the thing you are doing. I mean lot's of things are fun for 2 weeks, but you need to know if it's fun to do for a far longer time. I really enjoyed my classes as well, so if internship is a much fun or better, I'm gonna be in for a treat. ^^

Yeah my mom came to me and said 'they attacked anime' which left me really confused, but after searching on the internet I read about it. It was very sad to read, all over Plagiarism. How crazy does a person need to be to putt so many people in danger and killing so many innocent people over something like that. I mean the employees that where killed have not part in that Plagiarism at all, so he killed only innocent people. I don't know if they have death penalty in Japan, but they should never release him that's for sure, such a lunatic is far to dangerous. KyoAni made Clannad which is my favorite anime, and things like Koe no Katachi, Violet Evergarden, therefore being my favorite studio. It's nice to see so many people coming together and offer their support or thoughts/prayers.
EmilioX Jul 17, 2019 6:04 AM
Haha I remember the fun of first using it in GTA SA, it was brutal. I also remember seeing it in Texas Chainsaw massacre, duh. The movie wasn't to great, but the idea of a crazy lunatic chasing you with a chainsaw was pretty interesting. :)

Nice to hear, well I think it was this or losing lots of customers. Well now you get free, lifelong protection, that's nice to have. Well in the end the reason for them doesn't really matter, it matters that you get what you deserved after their screw up. Of course, when I read about it, I though about the way it happend and how data like that could be leaked so easy. If you are a victim you'll always look a things differently.
Yeah now that you have lifelong protection, switching banks would be unhandy.

Yeah I had the same feeling, Mami was such a great character. Well I can only keep watching things are indeed getting more and more interesting. Your friend is completely right. ;)

I see, I have met people from all around the world on MAL. A few fellow Dutch people, a couple German people, but also lots of North-Americans. It's nice to meet such diverse people from so many countries. It's also nice that Anime is so well enjoyed around the globe.

Work is going fine, it's not really interesting or so, but my colleagues are nice and fun. I have still to receive my first paycheck, then I'll feel so much better doing all the work. Well for me it's a bit different, after summer break I'll start on my internship, a half year full-time. So for me school starts at February next year. On one hand I will be sad when my vacation will be over, but I also look forward to my internship, it will be the first time for me experiencing the work I can do later. I also believe I've found a very nice company to work and a interesting project I'm going to work on.
EmilioX Jul 14, 2019 10:16 AM
Couldn't agree more, then again it's your own responsibility. I would always take a training/course before ever wielding a chainsaw. I only know chainsaws from videogames, where they can be pretty fun to use. ^^

Well like it might be the wrong word, but it's handy I think. I'm still downloading now and then, so with the VPN they can't trace you back. I don't get personal advertisements or so and Google or other companies doesn't know where I am. I actually bought it to give it a try, I was planning on doing an internship in Japan, unfortunate that didn't work out. If it did work out, I could watch Dutch television through VPN, because I can only watch online from a dutch IP-address. At the start it was a bit annoying, because it didn't always work, but after the fix it works just fine. I can use it on 3 computers, so I also use it on my school laptop. I payed about €85 (95 dollar) for 1,5 year of usage. It's on of the more expensive ones. There are cheaper ones, but this on seemed good.

Exactly, if you plan on doing it, keep it as quiet as possible the less people know, the better. I know you lost your trust in your bank, but I feel like there is almost no other option for people than a bank. They kind off own the financial market. Can't you switch to another bank for example?

I think madoka will only get more interesting the further you watch. I would also advise to watch the thirth movie of Madoka. The first and second are recap of the anime, but the thirth is a sequel. ;)

Yeah I wound't enjoy it either, but to each it own. ^^

I see, maybe it's because I never really experienced both in my life so far.

I live in the Netherlands, it has been pretty hot here lately. It's also a country where rain comes down often. It's a small quiet easygoing country next to Germany.
EmilioX Jul 12, 2019 12:25 PM
I see it sounds very nice, also because it's time you spend with your dad. I've seen enough people cutting down trees and failing and getting hurt on America's funniest home video's (well the dutch version). I think some people think to lightly about cutting down a tree. Cutting it is doable but then, the tree also has to come down. I've never hold a chainsaw and I don't really plan on doing so. ^^

Well there is a reason lumberjacks are usually very buff people. I think my work also gets me in shape a bit more, with all the lifting.

Yupp the bottom of my feed started hurting a lot yesterday.

No problem always happy to give some recommendations!

Yupp couldn't agree more, the downside of the technological world. It's not even bad that they are collecting some data to give you better fitting ads and such, but first ask if you can use the data to give a person better fitting ads. They can collect all the data in the world for all I care as long as people are fine with it, so ask permission. I've been using a VPN since a couple of months and I don't experience those problems anymore. I do indeed hope people will rebel against it, because bigger companies are getting more and more power and feel like they can do whatever they want.

Yeah both options have benefits and downsides. If people know you hide a lot of money in your home, you'll become more of a target for burglars. And if you keep things online your at risk of a dataleak or some other mistake. The whole technological revolutions has benefits but also comes with downsides. Then again criminals and such will always find a way.

I really enjoyed Madoka, so I hope you will as well. And Yuru Camp is also very good. It's the most comfy anime I've seen so far. Fun story I read the title wrong when I was going to watch it. I read Yuri Camp, so I was expecting something else, but still wasn't disappointing by it at all XD

Sometimes I look for a specific genre, Like my last anime when I wanted to watch a Yuri anime. Sometimes I seek something controversial and something I just choose something that looks interesting. I do like to mix up genres to keep things fresh. My favorite genres are Drama/romance. :)
EmilioX Jul 11, 2019 2:33 PM
Yeah me too, it's a good motivator to work hard in college. ^^

I can image how does this lumberjack training work? like what do you do and what do you learn?

Second week was already a bit better doable, well in the end it's not so much the walking that tires me, but more the whole day of standing.

Well they say Berserk is a controversial anime, but I cannot say for sure, I still have to watch that one. Shinsekai yori might also be one the be considers controversial by some. I didn't really find it controversial, but it was a very good one. Mirai Nikki is also called controversial by some people. It's a solid anime, not really controversial for me though. Death Note is one of those as well, really good anime, bit controversial for some. Elfen Lied same story. They are all controversial for different reasons that sexual. ;)

Thanks I know it really suck for you, be for me those things are really interesting. By studying those I can make sure I won't make the same mistakes while handling data. Have you heard that Google admitted that Google is listing in on conversations with Google assistant:
https://voicebot.ai/2019/07/10/google-contractors-listen-to-belgian-and-dutch-voice-assistant-conversations/
It was in the news yesterday, I doubt you've heard about it, because it's was happening in Belgium and the Netherlands. I don't own a thing like that, but it does alarm me a bit. Especially the fact that they have listened to conversations without the users permission. What do you think of this? :o

Well I already gave you a few above ;)
Do you have a certain genre you want to watch or something else?

EmilioX Jul 8, 2019 7:44 AM
Sounds nice, I also look forward to move-out. For now I just don't have the money and since college isn't to far away, I don't really have a reason to move-out yet. So for now all I can do is look forward to it and work hard to finish college. ^^

I work at a store that sells product for garden and animals. It doesn't sound to physical, but I lifting lots of heavy things. Like some packaging are 20/25 KG, it's not to heavy but doing it a lot spread over the day really tires your shoulders. I also have to walk and stand a lot, I'm not used to that as well. At home it sit behind my PC and at school I also sit behind my laptop. I walk for about 10KM a day. That and my not so great lower back, made the first week pretty tiring, but I'm confident next week will be a lot better. :)

Aha, that one I remember, it was really good indeed. Tomorrow a friend is coming over and she doesn't like horror at all, but I convinced her to give it a try, we are gonna watch Sinister.

I see well I'm also looking for more controversial anime's about different subject, but I just can't really think of something that is controversial and not sexual. Maybe something about human rights or discrimination or so? If you found some let me know, I also want to watch them. ^^

Yeah I was one of these people, I wasn't complaining because I knew the movie was a sequel, but I can image if it had ended on those last two episodes, I would have been very confused.

Thanks, I feel a lot more informed by the article. It sounds like they made a pretty big f-up. You can never let someone be able to share data in whatever way. People that work with the data must be aloud to look at it and use it on company servers, but never be able to get it to somewhere else. It also shows that restrictions to people aren't to be taken lightly. How much you trust you colleagues, you can never let them use your account or to avoid the restrictions they have. The employees that share their access should be fired as well, they are also to blame.

Well since it's such a big incident and so many people where victimized, I doubt they can do nothing about it.

I'm not sure, I never did much research on that subject. Well the only people/instances I can think off that are willing to pay for your data, must be either people that want to hack your account and steal your money or companies that want to use it to know more about you. More data means more insight. I don't think they would sell it online, I think they are just approach potential buyers. On the internet things can be traced, unless maybe if they use the dark web. Well like I said these things are only assumptions.
EmilioX Jul 6, 2019 4:07 AM
I see, sounds nice, are you happy with it?

Well one can only know for sure if he watches the movies. So I'm going to watch them soon. These days have been a bit busy for me as well, just started my summerjob and with my bad sleeping rhythm and the fact that I didn't do manual labor for a long time, make me feel pretty exhausted each time I'm done with work. That and the Woman World Cup, have given me less time to watch anything. Luckily I'm free for 4 days right now. :)

Yeah I really like that 8mm films in it, although I didn't really remember the soundtrack as being special, but I'll listen to it, maybe I've just been not hearing it.

Okay noted, but the ones that are worst are most often also the ones that are not really good. Well the one that makes you think most was the first one I saw about any controversial subject, because then you are gonna think about it and by the time I watched the second one I already had my opinion about it. I would say Koi Kaze is the most interesting one on term of incest-relationship and Kodomo no Jikan for reversed pedophilia.

I agree, I never really saw things like Elfen Lied, NGE and such a controversial, they are just anime's that feature lot of blood and gruesome killing. The ending of NGE was really weird and I didn't understand it well, but the ending of the end of Evangelion was pretty clear.

I don't drop them, but they are getting a low grade. :)

I see, that sucks to hear, it's the biggest downside of data collection. There are always people that work with it, that can easily leak the data they are working with. You always need people to work with data so it's unavoidable that it sometimes goes wrong, not that that makes this any less bad from the bank. Especially a bank and government agencies and such can not have dataleaks, because they have to most private information of people. Do you have a link or anything to an article about it? I would like to read it. Well I'm not sure you identity is there for the taking forever, they must have taken them offline by now, nevertheless for the time it was online everyone could have saved the information. Well it's only fair you and the other victimized people get a big compensation for this f*ck-up.

I know, even though I might not be the one responsible for security later, if I build a database or mange one, it has to have a good security otherwise I don't even want to work with it. If a dataleak occurs I'm also getting blamed because I was also working with it, I don't want that to happen.
EmilioX Jul 1, 2019 5:28 PM
Well lucky for me I like slice-of-life anime's. ^^

You've got my attention. It sounds interesting, Friday the 13th wasn't scary for me, it felt more like a slasher movie than scary. I wonder if you indeed had trouble sleeping, if this the thing I've been looking for. I'll be sure to watch it and let you know when it did. ;)

Thanks those Italian ones I haven't heard of same goes for Dario Argento. I usually don't really like older horror movies, but I'll give it a go.
I've seen IT both original and remake, and I plan on going to part 2 in the cinema as well. I've seen Evil death it was fine. I've seen REC, that one was good for a horror movie en Sinister is my favorite horror movie. ^^
Like I said the good ones, I've all seen already. :)
I think the last kinda scary movie I saw was Annabel 2 in the cinema, have you seen it?

Yeah of course the show wasn't that great, but you just needed to have a Beyblade.

I see, if I feel like watching something easy-going ecchi, I'll consider watching it.

Well you are at the right adres, I've seen about all well know controversial anime's about forbidden love, other things are really controversial to me. Like some people think of Mirai Nikki or Neon Genesis Evangelion as controversial, but I don't. Well be wary a lot of the controversial anime are pretty bad and don't really have anything good going on except for the controversial thing. I like it because they make you think about what is right or wrong, moral vs feeling. A few good ones are: Koi kaze, it's a very mature anime about incest, that handles the topic with good care, it a really beautiful one. Kodomo no Jikan, well I've told you a bit about it already, it's ecchi, but also has a deeper story and is pretty good. You could go with Yosuga no Sora, but that one has R+ - Mild Nudity rating, so it's goes a bit further than the ones above, the soundtrack is the best I've ever hear though. If you want something a bit lighter you could go with Oreimo, that one is okay as well. Something else I would only watch if you are sure you like controversial anime's ;)

Yeah I really can be to much, they also often use OVA's to give people 'fan service' I really dislike those, I also hope an OVA gives you a bit more insight into a character or something, and is not being an excuse to give viewers fan service. I've never dropped one, but there where some I was really close to dropping as well. Highschool of the Death is one of those anime that I think dooms itself with the ecchi stuff. The story is good and has potential, but it's just being neglected in favor of fan service.
EmilioX Jun 29, 2019 4:18 PM
I see, maybe if I feel like playing it again, I'll look into replacing it. :)

Yupp, the war between privacy and security will always go on.

I see, lucky star also is something I want to watch someday, it looks really cute and funny. In the anime, I don't want to spoil a lot, there is a minor in love with her teacher. So she tries to seduce him, but there is a reason behind it.

I see Sleepaway Camp I haven't seen so I'll go watch that one soon. Yeah feel free to recommend some horror movies to me.
What is your favorite horror movie?

Haha I've indeed also seen Beyblade, that was pretty cool. Sailor moon was indeed something I also didn't see much.

Funny I was just discussing To-Love Ru with someone else, I think I'll watch it someday, since it's looks a bit like Highschool DXD.
Nothing is really too much for me as long as it isn't the only focus and there is some story going on. I like controversial anime, so I've seen my fair share of ecchi anime's XD
