I'm farely new to all of this. Never really got into anime until i got bored and wanted to try something new so a friend suggested some shows. Cartoons haven't interseted me all that much, especially with most modern t.v. shows, but anime revealed amazing stories and interestimg characters that i never experienced through western cartoons which never really had a story and just go on and on until it dies off. Where as anime had actual stories and depth in them to bring excitement and feelings for the characters and plots. My first animes were (suggested by afriend) Code Geass, Chrome Shelled Regios, Angel Beats, Clannad and After Story. These opened my eyes to the anime world. Never thought such feels could exist in cartoon worlds where western shows blinded me to thes amazing things. Those pretty much got me hooked and now ive enjoyed much more since then. I tend to be a sucker for romance but i can't really pinpoint my favorite genres, as long as its got a good story with a good cast, i'd give it a whirl. Though i prefer not to watch harems/ridiculous love triangles, horror, excessive fanservice/ecchi without a plot, and of course no hentai. Im looking forward to see whay i happen upon next.
