Both have lovely artwork and music. They also are both science fiction and have similar mecha designs (due to sharing creative staff members).

Both of these have beautiful artwork and very pretty music. They also feature something of an unusual fantasy theme, something not quite as bubbly as your average shoujo.

Akuma no Ororon
add

Both have the same author and thus are drawn in a similar style. They also both have fairly strong plots, and feature supernatural beings such as ghosts and demons. The primary difference is that The Demon Ororon is a longer, more involved story than Baku, which is basically a volume of short stories. I enjoyed both of them very much.

Elle to Takara
add

Both stories feature an adult character having a long-lived relationship with a much younger character (or at least, a character that appears to be much younger). Both of them have a lot of sex scenes, and both feature characters with slight anthropomorphic traits, such and animal ears/tails. Map of a Tokyo Savage has more plot than Elle to Takara.

Stigma

The art is very, very similar, and both feature deep storylines that have been given some obvious thought. Stigma is much shorter than Saiyuki, though.

Both of these mangas are about people who know they would logically be better off not being romantically/sexually involved, but also find it impossible and ultimately undesireable to do so.
